I've just bought one but not for fishing. My son does loads of outdoor bagpipe competitions up and down Scotland, and we (as do many other pipers) use these to sit in between performances to have lunch or get changed etc. Well happy with it.
Thanks, do you know I thought you were me, I got that tent, same 2 garden sheds at the end on the same slabs with palm tree in the middle, but then I looked and realised your lawn is better looking 😂
I seen this in Aldi and was tempted at the price for maybe a day shelter, I was curious just to see it erected thank you for taking the time to do this 👍
Got one a while ago, perfect for a shelter, just don't expect it to be an out an out bivvy. Better than a brolly, with more room for your stuff to keep dry as long as its not tipping it down for hours.
The proof of the pudding's in rain. Cheap shelters criticised on amazon for letting rain in. Good video though. It's not for living in, just for shelter from elements while fishing.
Yea they seem ok until you get a heavy downpour. To be honest, every bivvy I have used has eventually leaked a little with constant heavy rain. Now I try to go fishing when it's not likely to rain so badly.
Can get a twin skinned TFG gear one well better , had mine years it's bomb proof , tenstions bars included heavy duty , velcro groundshit , overwrap heavy duty , pegs And don't look like something from Argos lol

Very interesting! I can imagine the guy ropes will come in handy up in Scotland!

@@Orwell1921 thank you much appreciated 👍🏻 great minds think alike! 👍🏻
Its a really good bivvy. And it is big enough to sleep in in summer. Its grate in the rain as well.
Certainly a summer bivvy.
Why would it not work in winter just curious

Much appreciated thanks.
Seems like it would be ideal for a day shelter
Yes possibly.
Just bought one. Perfect as a pop up shelter if the rain catches you out. 👍
Yes and a good price I think

@@originalshadowfax yes I agree 👍🏻
Great video. Maybe do a hose pipe test as well ?
Thanks 👍🏻 I don't have a hose pipe actually but would be a good idea for testing
Hi Mate, thanks to your video I bought it today!
No problem 👍
What's the waterproofing/windproofing like?
Also do the windows come with covers at all?
Windproofing seems good. Water proofing I imagine is a low grade. Similar to any budget tent. No covers on the windows.
@@PhillWyattFishing Don't know what it's like without a fly as I tied one on top but kept me dry all weekend in the monsoon.
@@ClubRebelScum Argh ney laddy canny keep ee dry thrut monsoon aye mabby an hour or two even with thee fly flappy aboot
Bought today, looks savage
I love this!!! I would use it for nights it rains 😊
Totally!

Think it's called tfg scout , was years ago i bought , it pram hood design was about 250.00 like 10 years ago , cannot fault battered it
Thanks for the suggestion. 👍🏻
Just bought one , can't use it today too bloody windy !
Hahaha get it up
Might be needing that warranty if you put it up today 😆
Condensation city. It will be freezing and wet. Ideal as a day shelter in calm weather. Guy ropes are just a trip hazard.
I don't disagree.
The seams dont look as if seam tape has been applied so it would leak in a down pour.
I'm not sure I would trust it in a bad storm.
Looks mint 😂😂😂
Is It Water Proof.
To a degree I guess. Probably not great in a storm though.
You can’t get less than a one year warranty. The law requires it.
Oh I thought the legal minimum warranty was 6 months although I am not sure.
Ngt sell good tent pegs
Yes I actually have some ngt tent pegs they are quite good.
