Down the Cellar 17 - Boxes of Boxes

- Опубликовано: 27 ноя 2021
- Now that a very hectic Thanksgiving is (thankfully) over, Tom once again gets down to business down the cellar.
If you are interested in the really fantastic custom display boxes that were so kindly sent in, I'm afraid the only information I have on them (right now, anyway) is what was inscribed on the boxes themselves:
"Design by Daggerland@gmx.ch"
If you have a question, comment, complaint, or criticism, or would like to share (or sell) your collection, please feel free to write Tom at:
herrwittmann@gmail.com
An email is the best way to get your question answered, because while Tom most definitely reads your comments he hasn't quite gotten the hang of replying to them in the comment section.

I don't want to come off as negative to the viewers and Tom. That box of SS buttons can be sent straight back to Ali Baba. SS material truly is a minefield for collectors who do not see these pieces every day.
You aren't negative at all. Whenever I see anything of this nature, especially SS marked, I know that someone either got ripped off or is trying to pull a ripoff.
I'll admit I don't know jack about a lot of SS stuff, but when I saw those buttons, I went "wait a minute".
Thanks God there is Mr Wittmann and his DTC videos! God bless you!
I must say, those are some beautiful display cases! The maker should be proud of his work!
Always looking forward for your DTC videos! I enjoy them alot. Keep up the good work, sir.
Best regards from Denmark.
mr.wittmenn is a master collector it's always a learning experience watching his videos

Thank you Tom for everything you do for the hobby and for sharing your knowledge with the collecting community. I bet we are going on close to 20 years since I've been buying and following. Looking forward to many more good finds. Keep up the great work!
Great story! I could listen all day.
Thank you both, as always a pleasure to watch.
Excellent ! As always, love the stories too ! May you and yours have a wonderful Christmas Season and keep em coming Wittmann !!
Well Tom loved the opening story, and the dagger collection you bought was fantastic. Thank you so much for posting. The returned dagger obviously came from a idiot. We all have seen them. Waist our time. Nice helmet that's my Forte. Great show. Never too long
Hi Tom, you gave us once again another great video, full of information and a delight to the viewers that can admire some beautiful daggers.
Allwsys look forward to your videos tom with great stories and content. Thank you for enhancing my Sunday 🍾🥂
Hi Mr. Wittmann
Always Enjoy Your Unboxing Videos !!
Thanks
There is no such thing as a 'stupid' story. The moment when Mr. Wittmann recounted about the cafeteria owner coming out and saying "Danke, Danke, Danke!!! I couldn't stop laughing! ROFL Former GDR East Germany was pretty crude and rough in those days. Nothing made me happier as a patriot than watching the fall of the Berlin wall and reunification of the fatherland. Sadly, the real East German homeland (East and West Prussia, Posen, Upper and Lower Silesia) are gone forever. Thank you for sharing your experiences. What an exquisite collection. In the inventory I noticed the accordion player carving is gone, so too the East Prussian knight given to von Mackensen! WOW
Cool story! A dutch museum owner told me, during the time of the DDR they went to the outskirts of Berlin. There was a former medal factory and they got 12 tonnes of medals (Red cross, iron cross, Luftschut, etc., etc.) out of the ground. Amazing!
He should give me some
Great story about trip to Germany with your friend. Sounds like me in my younger days. No way now after age 65….😳 Just amazing how much stuff to find is still out there.

Thank you, Mr. Wittmann. I discovered your channel by accident some months ago, and have been a frequent visitor. I'm not a collector of German militaria, but it is fascinating to see it. I really appreciate and respect your expertise.
Since we’re telling stories I’d love to hear any Lemmy tales you have…
@sam maudlin Nope... he didn´t ... that tank is from a group of reenactors.
@sam maudlin Sam he spent a lot... around 600 edge weapons... and lots of memorabilia.

Proost meneer Wittman ❤👊 Groetjes van mij uit Nederland/Den Haag 🔰 Mooi verhaal, i love it! Mijn opa was een indie veteraan meneer Wittman. Wij hadden vroeger de Gulden/Florijn als munteenheid. De goede en mooie tijd/en. De Euro is shit en duur!

Hi from Ireland sir love your videos. That cigarette sign behind you I know where their is one for sale are they rare and were they associated with the SA and the insignia in the top left corner iOS that a SA insignia thank you. And happy Christmas 👍
Question for anyone willing to help: It appears that daggers hold more of a monetary value than swords do. Why is this?
хорошая работа!
Hello Herr Wittmann , are you interessted in original Maps from the Blitzkrieg ?
(Angriffs Pläne/Attack Maps)
I like the RAD officer one that pommel is cool if it were mine I’d drill out the swaz and mount a ruby. Lol jk I like it the way it is, it’s a part of history… anywho these made me look into my own civilization history and I discovered the 1918 trench knife its a bit less decorative with a shit scabbard but those brass knuckles make up for it .. got any of those? if so it’d be cool to see a side by side comparison between that something comparable to it from zee German side
Tom , i would not have returned that dagger .
Turkey soup??? I'll be right over!
why the fuck is there a coomer wojak in the background on the cupboard XD im dying
Hi sir. I would like to speak to you in person. Your mailman (Hi Omar!) sent me your link for me watch. My father lived in France and went to a all American boys school in Germany just after the war.
All items it's for sell??
The box with the toy cars, and the SS plate. That plate's wording is very strange because the way I read it is, the SS man was shot. It is almost like someone wrote it in English and then translated it to German. But I believe it is supposed to be a shooting award. The German grammar is wrong!
Thomas this is alcohol or coke?
Both.Mixed.
Can u add txt in video ?
Yeah Bud!. Greetings! Lets start the show.... Just made 4 gals of bone broth. Gunna make sh1t on a shingle in a bit. 🥃
those skull buttons are known reproductions
