- Lots of black, booze, books, and (of course) boxes. What more could you ask from a Saturday morning show?
If you have a question, comment, complaint, or criticism, or would like to share (or sell) your collection, please feel free to write Tom at:
herrwittmann@gmail.com
An email is the best way to get your question answered, because while Tom most definitely reads your comments he hasn't quite gotten the hang of replying to them in the comment section.

It’s like those toy unboxing videos that kids watch, but for grown men who like to talk about history and politics. I throughly enjoy these videos.
Um....yeah...and probably people that...are less than scrupulous..but, yea.....
@Homegrown jones thanks for emphasizing my point.
I do not collect anything, but the passion for his "hobby" is second to none. A joy to watch a true enthusiast professional! Aloha!
Tom. Don't apologize for your 'Down the Cellar being too long. They are really interesting and you get to see some nice material. One can always pause the video and come back later. Good job.

Awesome story about the SS dagger 🗡.
It may be a little early but have a Happy Thanksgiving Mr. Wittmann
Same to you! Please eat an extra plate for Tom; he's on a diet.
Love down the cellar and your stories!
Interesting that he handles these artifacts smoking and obviously wet hand from his iced drink. Guess it adds to the patina 😂
Looks like I have some books to buy. Could you in a video go over some ways to display daggers bayonets swords and where different stands can be bought from?
Outstanding and informative I really liked the book review at the end maybe you could do one book each unboxing
Mr Whitman is number one, there is no doubt about it! 👍
Getting closer to 10k Tom!
I love these videos. He's a great guy
You can definitely learn a lot from him. Us younger generation have to keep the hobby alive. Who else is a collector?
Nice
Greatings from Kiel, Germany.
Du bist sehr nett. Dankeschön!
The NSKK chain rune at 40:23 I believe is the odal rune which is supposed to symbolize heritage
Hi, Super !
Greetz from Belgium Top
Спасибо Том. Ты как всегда молодец, все очень интересно.
Tom when people send you these items are they for you to buy? If so do you negotiate prices in advance of receiving them? finally, when they do send these items to you, do you then evaluate them and give them a price? Just not sure why you get so many packages of incredibly expensive and rare items. I think its very enjoyable to watch you go through them. Greetings from Canada.
Typically these items are sent to Tom to be sold on consignment, but some are things he’s purchased.
15:59 it is from the Company Siemens it say Vom Hause Siemens als Dank
und Anerkennung
Mr. Wittmann, did you ever get an SS Honor Dagger for your collection. I hope so, you're more than deserving.
I’m not that good of a person. I’d have offered 15% over the highest priced SS dagger I had on the table lol. I’m glad to hear that the money probably had a big impact on the mans life. Good for you for being honest.
To be fair though, I wouldn’t have done it for the money, that knife would be in my collection till the day I die lol.
I've worked for Tom for more than a decade, and I have seen him give this kind of deal more times than I can count. He might drink a bit too much, talk a bit too much and be as stubborn as a mule, but he's a genuinely decent man.
DEBBIE ARE SO SWEET NICE TO HAVE DEALS WITH SHE VERY GOOD WOMAN LOVE YOU DEBBIE
I'm always keen for the next unboxing! Great items. 15:56 "Dank und Anerkennung vom Hause Siemens" Table medallion from the Siemens company "In thanks and appreciation / recognition from the House of Siemens" Most likely for outstanding work by an employee. The cameo is of Werner von Siemens the founder! What's on the back? Btw, great flag in the back. I've seen alot of German flags, but not this one. Is it for the wartime Kriegsgraeberfuersorge (the German war graves commission?) Thank you for pronouncing "Wehrmacht" properly! lol My Deutsch ears are soothed... But, I must remember, and others should too, that it is not your first language and we should be more lenient. Keep up the great work. Always a pleasure.
This is fantastic information! Thank you, Felix!
i am still crying about the sa dager from robert herder i wanted to buy it but someone called so quickly to debbie and bought it MY HEART IS BROKEN:(((((((
Johnny Cash ain’t got nothing on this Man in Black
Never see any rust on the daggers. Were they made from stainless steel?
Tom, I'm the guy that sold Hermann Goring's surrender pistol in 2018. I would welcome advice on how to liquidate the rest of my collection. (I've got some neat stuff)
