I'd like to thank each and every one of you who take the time to watch DtC, and am very grateful to everyone who takes more time out of their day to comment. In a perfect world there would be endless time for either Tom or Ob to engage with everyone, but alas the world is far from perfect.

Q: I have a burning question about something in the video! What should I do?!
A: An email sent directly to Tom is the best way to get your question answered, because while he most definitely reads each and every one of your comments, he hasn't quite gotten the hang of replying to them in the comment section, and is not likely to in the foreseeable future. Or ever. Seriously, he still calls RUclips "the U-TOOBZ".

Time to sue the government of Australia. That is a disgrace.
Hopefully the customs officer can be tracked and held financially liable for the damage. What a sad state of affairs that a government employee would act so far outside of their jurisdiction.
It should be easy to verify who did this destruction of property. If they don't fire him/her and make restitution, then the Australian government is just another corrupt leftist society.
The person should be not only held accountable for the monetary loss, but they should also be sacked on the spot for malicious damage to property. All of these facilities where Border force or AQIS can inspect packages must be CCTV monitored. The purchaser must pursue this matter all the way, even though from the get go the officials dealing with the report will be looking down their noses and muttering about "Nazi collector" and all this guff.!!!!!!

I have an insignificantly small collection of WWII German militaria. Now 65 years old and over the years have always had to explain to countless people the fact that I see things from a historical perspective and am neither a fascist nor a Nazi. Surprising news from Australia What do different nations think they "gain" from banning things that have happened in our history? The excrement who did that should come from Border Force or AQIS, the facilities where they do inspections must be CCTV monitored , I hope the purchaser can get this matter investigated without small minded bureaucratic prejudice and the criminal is sacked!

Mr Whittmann I hope you can stay in touch with the person who had that greatcoat destroyed and that the results of the investigation stemming from the report/claim that the purchaser will surely make can be passed on to us here in one of your future presentations. It would give me a great deal of satisfaction if the person who did this is identified and sacked ! Appalling !
The destroying of the uniform is a Hate Crime. So the Woke are the Haters. Tom does a great job of preserving history. Agree or disagree, it is history.

After seeing the start of the show this morning and what had happened to the coat you sent to Australia. I can't believe that people who work in authority like that, can do this. Also that it's been allowed to happen. What a great loss to history. I really hope that the culprit gets his just deserts. Why do people get so angry about collecting war memorabilia. It's part of our history and all the generations of people in the future, should be allowed to see for themselves, what the world was like many years before they were born. It's a brilliant show you and Arb present. I always look forward to them coming out on here. You have a massive world wide following, including us from the UK. Very curious Klass sword with the modified pommel. Maybe it was damaged somehow and the owner opted to have it “repaired!” Rather than buy a new sword. Klass offered dove head versions, models 232 and 233 so if the owner disliked the lion head other options were available. Its a head scratcher!

Just a side note, the laws have not been introduced yet, it is proposed, as an Australian collector we are voicing our disgust with this! It’s ridiculous that if passed our laws will be more heavily restrictive than those in Israel or Germany!
Agreed, a compromise would be to always cover the swaz when trading these items but no, our attorney general has decided to ban everything. What about all the Japanese and Soviet militaria, should that be banned too because it represents a regime that killed millions? This new law is ridiculous

I don’t understand why they did this to the greatcoat as it’s not illegal to own and still won’t be when the law comes in. That is just destruction of property and somebody needs to be held accountable.
