My worst nightmare: Dying and have my millenial LGBTQ son and his boyfriend sell off my collection. Buy some snowpowder from the cash and share it with their other boyfriends.
@@thilgu that’s exactly how I see my collection, however if I knew it was going to be sold off and not cared about once I pass I’d rest easier knowing it’s now in the hands of people that enjoy these items just as much as once did
I'm gay, a millennial, and love old militaria. I was just sitting around with some friends drinking some Spaten and sporting some Wermacht infantry helmets. Also, coke is a lame ass drug, imo.
Heim ins Reich means “back home” it was a foreign policy pursued by Hitler in 1938 to call all Volksdeutsche “ethnic Germans” back to the fatherland. That didn’t mean to move back to Germany but for them to help reclaim land lost in the Treaty of Versailles like the Sudetenland and Poland, Austria, Czechoslovakia and to bring it back into the control of greater Germany.
Heim ins Reich was a slogan used by the Nazi all the way back to 1921/22 The slogan was often used with Austria or and Sudetenland. Thank you for a great Vlog.
Wow! What a treasure! I would give anything to own one of those daggers. I could sit all day and watch y’all drink beer and open those boxes. And I’ll drink one with ya! lol

I've got something really cool, idk if youd call it trench art, but it's a hand made box about the size of a letter, with some bullets, coins soldered on the lid, and a large engraving inside with leaves and a crown kinda set up like a cadillac logo. I'm assuming ww1.edit: its solid brass

I started collecting at the end of fthe sixties with a NSFK dagger my father brought back…I had the opportunity to buy a bronze Hitler head ,like the one seen in the background, but too expensive for me in those days
Nice items! What wonders me though is that such a big collector didn’t even put the effort to learn proper German, like “Heim ins Reich”, that’s so easy to learn... Americans :/

Hey Alex, can you, or anybody else here for that matter, tell me how much is the very cheapest SS dagger, but to be in semi normal condition, to have whole blade, motto, all insignia etc. It can be chipped a little on the wood as the one here, no matter how good scabbard is in paint etc ?
Man this guy has got me wanting German daggers I always thought daggers were stupid and I never liked them a more of a holding knife guy Or a bowie knife kinda guy but man I gotta have some of them German daggers
Really great daggers. I see quite a lot of German equipment in Europe these daggers look too good no age marks ect they are 80 years old Are they refinished then sold on ??

super rare and condition German uniform! And lays it on a stained work-bench...

The good stuff does hold value and will sell when you're ready to make some profit.

I would love for him to do full videos of how to ID blades, groups etc! Like German daggers for dummies!
Fire the cameraman. You should have smacked his hand away the first time he reached out to touch something.
3:31 Did no one notice the "crete" cutt title on that jacket? If its real it would make the piece much more interesting but normally its a red flag..

I wonder if he's related to Michael Whittmann
I dont think so... I have been following him a long time, he never mention it.
