I have had some difficulty learning the alternate foot step and the boxer skip. I have been using the heavier ropes because they have worked for me. Although my form is terrible I have lost over thirty pounds using the heavier ropes.
Hi Deanna, Nice work staying consistent on the weight loss 🤜 If you haven't check out my START HERE playlist. I have a form video that breaks it down pretty good If I don't say so myself. 😉 Also here are a couple other videos coving the alt leg and boxer Skip you will find helpful. Alt. leg: ruclips.net/video/Thv6ytxl_5Q/видео.html Boxer Skip: ruclips.net/video/K6pY2r2_CoM/видео.html Happy Jumping!
I’m very new to jump rope. I decided to do this after I was diagnosed with MS. I was just wondering how long you have been doing this and how long it took to get good at it like you are. Hope all is well.
Right on Heimdall. I'm sorry to hear about your diagnosis. Hopefully they caught it early as I know that can make a big difference. I have been jumping for 10-11 yrs now. I was able to progress fairly quickly in my first year, but I also saw big differences later after 3-5 yrs just becoming much smoother in my overall jumping and transitions from skill to skill. It's definitely a fun process that keeps you coming back for more as you see the progress you make. Cheers bud!🤙
@@Jump15official I appreciate the kind words. Thank you. I’m a 70% service connected veteran (Marine) and the VA had been amazing with the MS treatments. I found jumping rope takes me out of my head and thoughts. It’s very enjoyable. Hope all is well.
@@Jump15official I started last week and yesterday I was able to run in place a little but had to trip the rope because it was smacking the ground 2 feet in front of me and kept tripping me up.
@@Dire-Wolf-HV Good to hear and Thank you for your service brother 🤜 Jump rope is the same for me. It's not mindless cardio. It demands your focus and is a great stress reliever.
What do you want to see: Skill Tutorial, Form & Technique or Other? (if skill, name it!)
All please...LOL. Thanks Kyle!
