Awesome video. I popped my left one in and couldn’t figure out how to get it back into place. After watching the video I could just pop the USB out and snap the left one in from the back. Thanks for the insight!!
Good to know. My son was sitting in the middle seat and pushed his knee against it and it popped in. I have been trying to figure out how to get it back in place for 8 months now without taking the whole dash apart.
You probably thought about making a video after you had it all apart, still, watching it come apart would have been a big help. But you got me closer than I was before your video so thanks.
This was an EXCELLENT little piece of information. I am installing a brake controller in that very spot the "pushes back" instead of pulling out. Very timely and helpful.
Swapping a jump seat for a center console soon so I'm looking up how to wire the splitter harness. I think this video will prove to be extremely helpful! Thank you
This helps, I’m gonna install a brake controller with a knob on that tab that pushes in so You probably saved me from scarring my plastic lol thanks for posting!!
Thank you guys!!! I’m currently waiting for my 2020 Chevy custom trail boss to come in off the truck to the dealership! And I hate I’m missing features from the LT All Star. Have you guys noticed anything else that would be helpful about the infotainment or center console before I start toying around with it?? This video itself earned my subscribe!
Appreciate it man. I have a 21 gmc 2500 and i plan on doing a clean gmrs radio mount in between the two things on the side. I thought they came out like this. Good video man.
This definitely help me, I have a lower trim model and I needed to see the wiring so I can attempt to upgrade some of the hardware I didn’t get, usb C, 110 Volt, so thank bro...
So I’m struggling to put the left panel back in how am I supposed to put this in exactly my nalgene flew forward Bc someone decided to slam on the breaks to take a right turn this making me hit my breaks none of the tabs are broken it’s just I can figure out how to put it back in place
It snaps in from behind. You need ot take the other panels OUT then use a tool to snap that panel in by pressing BEHIND it. For EVERYONE who keeps commenting about this......that is as easy as it was.
Thanks for the video, exactly what I was looking for cuz Im considering doing so customization. Do you remember if the wires to the blank panels were hot?
Hi Can I purchase and change out my USB that is not working properly on my 20 Silverado ? Changed out generic cords, etc. I bought a $25 Samsung cord in case it was generic cords. The only conclusion is that it's the port itself that has issues. Suggestions on where to get a compatible USB port ? This is not in my wheelhouse; my brother can help me install it. Thanks in advance.
I just fixed mine in 2 minutes. Trick is to find the access point from underneath the drivers side. Get your phone camera in video mode with the flash on. Get up under the drivers side floor and look at your phone while recording. You can see the small access point. Reach your hand up in there and it easily pops back in
I’ve gone up and down on all the comments lol do you mind telling me what tool you used exactly because I’m going out of my mind trying to push that panel back in.
Could you upgrade to 110v outlet? I thought there was an additional switch to turn the outlet on and off with the trucks equipped with the outlet from the factory
The right one snaps in from the front so you can just push it back into place. The left one snaps in from behind. You need to take the other panels out, then use a tool to snap that panel in by pressing behind it.
