This man came prepared for a CNN interview and got served a BREAKING POINTS interview. Great job grilling him!
I find it so disappointing to see this type of attitude from you and other commenters. The billionaires of America love this great nation and simply want to enjoy their vanity campaigns without any of this cheap 'gotcha' nonsense of asking direct questions about things like policies or positions. Why did Krystal keep asking him about that? Is she in love with him or something???? Was really weird to witness. I watched the full interview and by the end I had absolutely no confusion about where he stood on literally everything they asked him about. At long last, America has a chance to vote for an authentic, unscripted man of the people who truly cares about ALLl Americans. And I hate to bloviate but I must add: Krystal's questions were incredibly violent and disrespectful, plus I find her incessant nagging for answers to be highly problematic. This is a teachable moment for her and I hope she reflects on how she fumbled this interview and how she can improve her skillset moving forward. She's lucky she didn't try this tacky nonsense on Mitt or Jeb... they wouldn't have stood for that kind of funny business.
this was grilling? really?
I like him
Well said!
My favourite bit was when he said people shouldn't talk in soundbites, then talks in soundbites.
This interview is an example of how you don’t have to be rude to nail someone on the issues. This guy torched HIMSELF by dancing around every question. And our team kept smiles on their faces and pleasant tones the whole time. Good job team!
Now wait just a second. Governor Burgum showed great courage coming onto BP. He's got my vote!!! He automatically gets my vote for showing that courage.
The questions were super easy too 😂😂
Exactly, you nailed it.
@@costco_pizza Wait, really?
@@kjhuang Yes absolutely! We need a lot more courage in the White House!!! Let’s rally behind the Governor for showing that!
Credit to both Krystal and Saagar on pushing him, despite his refusal to answer anything straight forward. Saagar tends to get flustered and switch to wanting to please the person he is interviewing, but he didn’t do that here and i give him credit for that improvement.
Yeah, to do well in an interview like this, you just tell people what they want to hear. Political candidates that do well are the ones that are fake. They give all the right answers before being elected and then do none of it after.
Sometimes the answers we want to hear aren't the best answers.
The man's got my vote!!! I love his courage for coming onto BP. He automatically gets my vote for showing that courage.
For some issues, it may be more effective to split the questions between generations. Example: Social Security? (Boomers/some Gen X) "Should we cut SS?" / (Millennials and under) "How long will they have to work?".......Millennials don't care about SS because they won't have it.
@costco_pizza That's really stupid. Are you going to vote for everyone that comes onto the show simultaneously with your 1 vote? Regardless of what policies they actually want to run your life with. Your brain us running on a low capacity and can't think about the issue?
Well Sagaar didn’t do much. I assumed they must’ve made an agreement that k would grill the righties and Sagaar will grill the lefties.
“You guys with this class war thing.” Lol yeah, we just watched 1% of the pop grab 95% of the wealth.
Conservatives need to get class consciousness.
@@eemoogee160 They do simp for the oligarchs, as long as something something woke.
@middleagebrotips3454 Progressives do so too, to be fair. Identity politics are often used to "woke-wash" corrupt institutions.
I think their main issue is the fact that they're unnecessarily rich as opposed to rich. And conservatives want the opportunity for hard work to be paid off and get rich. That's why they're right wing. Ultimately, the right wants a certain level of standards for each citizen as well as capitalism.
Seeing this guy and Vivek back to back was staggering. This guy rightfully has no chance.
Exactly how I felt
this guy is an entry-level bullshitter, Vivek is a master-level bullshitter
Now wait a second guys. Let’s give the Governor a hand for showing the courage to come on the show. And courage is something we need a lot more of in Washington!
Vivek is a cretin. I cannot believe he got himself into the position that Global Warming is nothing, and he is going to stick to it because he thinks if he changes his mind he will get slammed for it. Probably right about that, which means if he cannot adapt to reality he doesn't need to be any kind of leader.
Correct. And neither does Vivek.
“Im not a politician” those answers he gave sure sound like the bs politicians love to spew.
Just shows he's a liar. He is literally a politician. He is a governor.
I think interviewers should call bs whenever a candidate for political office says this. If you are claiming not to be or want to be a politician wtf are you running for president?
@@talyahr3302 Now wait a minute guys, the Governor showed great courage coming on BP and answering the TOUGH questions. Let’s give him a hand for showing such courage. We really need more of that in Washington!
Yeah I noticed that too. By this guy's definition, members of Congress are politicians but governors are not 😆

I think they did him a favor preparing him for these questions. He will be stronger for it.
Didn’t end a thing, still going to be a billionaire governor when this is over
So nice to see Krystal and Saagar not taking his BS he's used to getting away with on mainstream media. He thought this would be a CNN interview.

Indeed, and thanks for noticing.
Now I'm grid-ing 🌽 to 🌽.
I LOVE how Krystal and Saagar grilled him on simple questions that he tried to dodge, fast talk his way out of, or hide his true thoughts on. This is how you interview. We need more republicans and ultra wealthy people like Doug Burgam to appear on the show to be exposed for exactly what they are!
Have to applaud Krystal on this one. He came off as a liar and kept weaseling out of questions that he has an unpopular answer for
Platitudes constantly. Very little specifics. "I'm going to do 'things'" "We need to grow the economy."
Over the last 50+ years I've seen the economy grow, but it never benefits the working class. It's always, "the reason you don't have enough to get by is because the economy didn't grow enough."
Krystal held this stuffed-shirt buffoon accountable. Literally no direct answers to even basic questions, lots of platitudes. Pity the losers who are seduced by his mediocrity.
"Actuarial tables" when the life expectancy is decreasing 🤦
Shit is so out of touch I was dying laughing
And said every single actuary table in America is wrong. Yeah, they're all wrong and this billionare dude has the truth. Lol
He’s a perfect match for the No Labels platform.
Exactly. No labels, and any divergence in public policy from the last forty years is ‘class warfare’. So much for the fresh ideas he is touting.
He's not fit to manage a Subway franchise. Even a fast food chain would expect a straight answer to a simple question and Burgum can't do that.
I think No Answers has already claimed him though
Well all I can say is that the governor has my vote!!! I love his courage for coming onto BP. Not many candidates would do that. He automatically gets my vote for showing that courage!
@@costco_pizza I wouldn’t call it courage, probably arrogance, thinking it would be a slam dunk like most corporate/corrupt media.

I couldn’t stop laughing. This is good response

He knows his positions aren't popular
he was ready just didnt want to answer
That was really good stuff. Krystal and Saagar asked all the questions I wish would get asked of these candidates. Hope they don’t come across as too intimidating to keep getting these interviews.
Well, they gotta be tough if they say they're gonna take on Putin. If they can't handle Krystal's interview style, how ready are they to handle the global economy? Keep em sharp and only send the best.

After listening to the GOP candidates that have come on this show it’s no wonder why Trump is winning. These people cannot seem to answer even one question.
I wonder if anyone feels like I do and wonders if really people are listening or believing in Conservatives? I sure don't, but I don't know what it is that would make anyone think the constant nonsense coming from GOP candidates makes any kind of sense. Could we all be getting fooled by a media that is far more complex and organized than we think it is?
As someone who doesn't like Trump at all and would never vote for him the guys hilarious. Some of the nicknames he's come up for his opponents are class everything from lying Ted to Crooked Hillary.
Vivek actually did. He answered everything pretty clearly IMO regardless of whether one agrees with him or not.
Now hold on a minute guys. Governor Burgum showed great courage coming onto the show and answering the tough questions. Let’s give him a hand for showing such courage. That is what we need more of in Washington.
I agree. I have watched many interviews with Vivek on various shows and he gives clear answers based on facts and laws.

Tell me you didn't grow up in a rural area, without telling me you didn't grow up in a rural area.
The settlers of the west only had land, as a birthright. They gave all their children and grandchildren that land when they passed on
You cannot beat the guy up for what his grandparents gave him

I’m usually a bit critical of Krystal’s interview style, but she nailed it here. He never answers any question and goes back to China for just about everything, and she was able to reframe, bring the questions back to the table, and eventually call him out on his BS. Well done!
Too chicken to say I want to cut taxes for rich people.

Number one rule. You gotta be grilled on breaking points to get my vote. Cheers on the great interviews of candidates on both parties guys!🎉🎉🎉

Do Democrites ever say anything against Joe Biden?
If you are a Republican who opposes Trump, your chance of winning the primary is zero. Being worried about offending Trump voters is a very legitimate concern for a Republican candidate.
To beat Trump, you have to mostly align with him, but differ in a couple key areas where he is unpopular, and hope to squeak out a victory.
