I purchased one this Christmas Eve, and got a $50 off for military discount. Sooo pumped to use it at work! Right now I’m chilling with my parents, and brothers, and sister, and having a great Christmas Eve! :D super happy. I love my job, and family.
First I want to say, this is your best video yet, glad you’re letting us see what you look like, the humor and the production as far as your camera work and the green screen addition I assume was pretty funny, setting you apart from the other tool review guys. As far as the nailer goes, it is heavier than my cordless paslode impulse gun, but it’s more consistent in counter sinking the nails, no gas and the paslode does not have a bump fire option, which is handy when fastening LVL beams together, which I tested yesterday, and has no problem burying the nail. I haven’t used the metabo HTP but from the reviews that I have watched the milwaulkee is equal or out performs it, and the consensus that it was the best non gas cordless framer before the milwaulkee is impressive. I’m a residential guy that mainly uses the framer for room additions, so it is perfect. I have my doubts how it would stand up to a hosed production framer but I don’t think that is what it’s intended for. Shout out to acme tool, just ordered the extension clip and was very pleased with customer service thus far, see if it arrives on Friday like they said. Keep up the good work!
I have had a hard time getting my nail guns. I ordered the 18 gauge back in May but the order didn't get processed, so after waiting two weeks I checked in on it and discovered the mistake. Then it went on backorder until 6/12 or 6/21, I can't remember now and I have been waiting for it ever since. I placed an order for the 30 degree nailer on 6/12 and it is no where to be seen. The place I ordered them from local to me says they are in transit but I have quit checking in to see if they have arrived. I currently have Paslode nailers and they are perfectly fine for my use. I have ordered a bunch of Milwaukee stuff through this business without an issue, even during this Covid mess.
@@ToolReviewZone The framing nailer was showing that it was in stock when I placed the order, so I am not sure either. I have been waiting so long, that I have lost the desire to own them now. LOL Luckily, I haven't paid a dime yet.
I noticed that there is a second hole to attach the magazine, at first I thought it was for the extended mag but the extended uses the same hole, I wonder if you can also attach the 20deg mag on it.
I,m new to DIY and I have purchased one of these nailers but I would really like to know what nails to use as in degree and weight of nails , ie 14, 15 , 16 gm ?
Bruh, you are a comedic genius with your RUclips shares. I got this tool this weekend. It straight up sinks some nailage. I couldn’t believe how consistent it was after having the m12 staple gun. It’s too heavy though. I used to be strong, plumb houses, and walk joists and I have done it as little as a year ago in the hot summer, but this thing is just too heavy and cumbersome. It takes up a lot of space as well. I can’t get it in my plumbing rough box with the rest of my tools.
This in one of my Unicorn Tools....which keep eluding me, lol, by the way. The only thing I kinda wish was a tad bit different on these nailers....the head, or nose. Not as aggressive as some of the pneumatic nailers with that “round spikey” nose, that really grips & helps when toe nailing etc.... Other than that, can’t complain, since they have an ext mag for the nailers, & the controls are in a great spot, along with a decent rafter/belt hook (not some Uber weird giant like Metabo’s hook....what were they thinking on that one 🤣). I suppose the only thing that could make these nailers Da Bomb & be EPYC.....be able to use the 30° ext mag on the 21° nailer & Vice versa 😉 (I mean, they’ve got the screw holes already there, don’t they😉😉). And since there’s now a short story here, I’m gonna stop writing. Thx Clint for your hilariously fun point of views when you review tools. Hope ya never lose that 👍🏻 Cheers✌🏼
Love the comedy. Love the nailer. What’s up with the 21? I have not seen it in stock anywhere yet. The 30 was a pain to get but it was in stock a few times.
Thanks Matt! Yeah, not really sure buddy. They have been dealing with getting these out for a while now, so who knows what's going on. I use the 21 for all my framing nailers, so I had to get used to this one. Hopefully they will have them soon
Well come to the gun show I see you have the guns out 💪 I can't wait for these to hit stores I have the Milwaukee Roofing guns but those take the air hose but extremely interested in the finish nailer for trimming out a house because usually almost everything is done all the painted the floors done so it's so it's nice and not to drag a hose around but these are really nice😎👊
Most pros actually use a 30 as the magazine clip has a steeper angle and can use paper coated nails. I always liked the 21 as the clip holder is usually larger but is angled perfectly for what I need them for.
I have the 18 gage brad nailer from milwaukee and love it. I was wondering if this is good for picket fences? This is definitely a nice nailer even in Rambo mode. Great interview. You look like a superstar with those glasses. He has no taste for the talented RUclipsr that you are. Milwaukee finally got it right. Nice review. Still looking for a nailer to rebuild my fence.
Got 2 of these for work, both died within 3 months due to air pressure not driving the nails down anymore. Granted, It was used for industrial pallet repairing but 3 months?.. c'mon.
For those that are considering purchasing their first framing nailer or just don’t know, what was the deciding factor for you going with Milwaukee specifically? I think it would be helpful to include why you chose this 30 degree vs the 21. What about this framing nailer made you choose it over a DeWalt, Metabo, Rigid..etc.? I, myself, am a Milwaukee fan and will be for as long as I live. I liked that you touched on what you found to be a personal dislike, I appreciate that. It would be beneficial to the audience, especially those that just joined your channel and or are wanting to purchase one if you dive into the relevancy, what factual information and knowledge are you providing about the tool that would help someone make a decision. I also think that not all tools are created equal. There are some things that one may find to be a personal dislike like what you included. As you demonstrated the use of it in single and bump mode. That was perfect. What is your overall experience and opinion whether you would recommend it or wouldn’t. This is just my feedback, as per your request.
Recoil seems to be on the heavy side. If I had to put loads of nails with this, my hand would hurt more than after that marathon of Pornhu... ...nevermind.
I hate how I see so much good things, positive reviews about this gun but yet I’m experiencing a presumably rare issue with my 30 degree nailer. No matter how or if I’m doing it right by resetting the striker. It REFUSES TO ABSOLUTELY shoot a single flush nail. From 2 inches to 3 inches. It hits the bottom of the barrel so that the tip of the nail doesn’t shoot clean out the barrel but clips the bottom so that it gets jammed automatically. And when the nail does finally leave the gun to penetrate the wood its never flush. It actually bends at the upper half of the nail. Idk if it is the striker? Or the magazine how it doesn’t spring load the nail center where it has to be before firing. Someone help?
if you cheaped out on nails that have really thick or cheap quality plastic strip (that holds the nails) or even wrong angle, it might prevent nails from seating into the barrel correctly (that is probably the main reason). Also, some nails have lubricants pre-applied onto them so that might also help to go in a little easier (strength-wise there should be no difference since the wood eventually absorbs all the oils). Also, If you cheaped out on the batteries and didn't get those high output ones that definitely might be the reason why. Finally, the type of wood you are shooting at matters too, if its like 3inch thick oak... good luck ; ). I just got my gun with an 8-amp battery, I can sink the nails into fir 1/2" deep, no complaints there for me!
I've got two. They both didn't last on my jobsite a month. They are too heavy, too slow, and the nails very rarely are sunk all the way even with a bigger battery and the setting cranked up. Disappointed in these, I was really excited.

I hit concrete my nail is jammed. It’s stuck where the nail comes out half way out. Any tips on how to fix that?
Just scored one! How’s the battery consumption on them?
They have an extended magazine for this nailer as well Bro @ToolReviewZone
Any idea on how many fasteners per battery?

Are they compatible with paslode nails or have to use Milwaukee branded ones?
I don't know. I bought Metabo nails, had no issues firing nails.
I just bought mine last week on clearance for $93 105 after I haven't used it yet but I couldn't pass it up for that price
Ya once u attach the extended magazine it more balanced but once attached it fits in bag supplied awkwardly
Question if somebody steals my nailer can we use an app
