I got the same nailer. I pre ordered it when they first came out. What a great nailer. I always carry a few extra strips of nails in one of my pockets and once I shoot 5 or 6 nails, I can slip another strip in. I also got the finish nailer, it works just as good as this one does. Milwaukee did a great job on these nailers. I haven't had any issues with either one of them.
It really is a great nailer. I've learned the hard way to carry extra strips of nails with me. Still bugs me you have to drop another $100 to get a 2 strip magazine though.
Love the honesty. A lot of RUclipsrs wanna reinvent themselves or exaggerate their skill sets. Unfortunately there’s a lot of people who buy it because they’re on RUclips which is crazy to me. Literally anybody could start a RUclips channel. But for your honesty which I really appreciate because that’s hard to come by especially on the Internet you get the like in the subscribe!👍
Bought this one about 2 years ago to put up a 48X60 post frame shop. Nailer worked flawlessly even after I dropped it a few times. This nailer also sold me on the M18 fuel system, love it. Alos picked up the M18 screw gun and the M18 table saw is in my near future. If there is any drawback to the nailer, it is that it doesn't hold enough nails, seemed I was always stopping to reload. Not a deal breaker, just an annoyance.
Bought one and it won't sink 21 degree .120 3" ring shank framing nails. Gets them into 2x6 about 3/4 of the way through and then slips off and bends the nail, every time.
Great review. I'm thinking of getting the 18 gauge nailer from Milwaukee. Different from your review I know, but Milwaukee makes great stuff, so I'm sure I'll be happy.
For the longest time, I thought DeWALT was the best on the market...until I bought this Milwaukee nailer. I really hate the size of the nail magazine, but it is just a well built tool otherwise. I've started getting other Milwaukee tools to fill in the gaps. You will love the 18 guage nailer if it's anything like the framing nailer.
Get it, Milwaukee dominates the nailers game right now, I have this one21 framing, the 15 finish, 17 brad, 18 narrow crown stapler and the 23 pin nailer. All of them are just perfect.
I have a lot of Milwaukee tools, and a few of their smaller nailers. I have used other people's Milwaukee Framing Nailers in the past, and finally ordered my own. I got it today and tried to shoot a few nails through it. Unfortunately a majority of the nails are proud from 1/4 inch to 1 whole inch, and some of them bend. I did everything it said in the book about clearing jams and anything else that is in the limited info in the book, but nothing changed. Have you had that problem?
The only time I have seen that is when I hit a knot or another nail under the board I'm attaching. Wood on Wood, this never happens for me. The nails should only be proud within the range you can adjust.
@@TheWoodHaven I figured it out. I bought a box of nails from HD, that had been opened. I got them at a 40% discount. the outside of the box is marked 30 deg. However, someone had slipped a few 21 deg nail strips in the box, and I was not paying that much attention to the strips when I was inserting them into the magazine. So, that was an easy fix.
They shoot different types of nails, and in some places the local codes mandate you use one or the other. The 21 deg is actually limited to the nails you can shoot, while the 30 gives you a few choices.
Very well done. I’m going to buy one soon. I only have one hand so no more pounding nails or driving screws anymore.
These have some weight to them, but it really is a great nailer.
Does plastic nails work. I noticed the one you got looks paper

Appreciate that.
What are the brand of nails and where do you get them.
And how much? Thanks@TheWoodHaven
Tremendously informative video! Top notch , and tranquil to watch.
Thanks Lua

This was my first Milwaukee tool. It pretty much sold me on Milwaukee. I have the finish nailer now too.
Thanks for the video. Nice overview.
Very helpful. I have been looking at getting a framing nailer for a while now. thanks Paul
Thanks Paul. If you end up getting this one, you will not regret it. It is heavy. If that's not an issue for you, then you will love it.
I cool. Like your video

Have you adjusted the depth guage? Mine had to be adjusted out of the box. Once you get it set, it works perfect for any size nail.
Great review.

@@DownloaderVideo I've been looking hard at the 15 finish. Next sale is father's day. Might have to pull the trigger.
great demo many thanks
Can it do 1.5 inch nails
No, it only goes down to 2" nails. If you need to use 1.5" nails, you need the finish nailer. I have that one too and it is fantastic.
Obviously the shorter nail slot is for getting into tight spaces. There are definitely uses for the shorter one.
Agree, I just think that is the exception, not the rule. I would prefer they make the shorter one the option.

What nails are you using? There's also a depth gauge at the front.

@@jmackinjersey1 I love easy fixes.
I’ve used every cordless framing nailer. For a home handyman sure, get this. But if you use a cordless lots. Pasloade is king.
I think Pasloade is the consensus choice. I've never used one so I really can't say, but I really like this one.
Can you use smooth shank 34 degree paper strip nails in paslode?
@@LoVE.B. Yes. You can use in this Milwaukee too.
I don't think so they don't perform in the cold weather nor do they have the power
why did you go with the 30 degree instead of the 21?
Gets into tighter spaces
Why did you choose the 30° over the 21°?
I thought it would get into tighter spots.
They shoot different types of nails, and in some places the local codes mandate you use one or the other. The 21 deg is actually limited to the nails you can shoot, while the 30 gives you a few choices.
@@jmackinjersey1 what are the choices?
You do know that they make an extension for the nail magazine don't you?
Yes, that magazine should be the default. It's a gimmick to get more money out of you.
Great job.
Thanks Frank.
