So far, this video is the closest thing I've seen to diagnosing my issue. I hear the single knock every time I stop. But also a little bit when I take off. I suspected something to do with the caliper being loose, but it doesn't seem to be. Guess I'll check the pads too. Thanks!
@@jsupa3737 No luck with brake pads. I think they're ok. I did see another video online that showed the noise being made as they backed up and drove forward. In the comments section I learned that they replaced the lower control arm and that fixed it. That's my next step.
I had this issue and what was causing it for me was there was only 1 screw holding in the rotor and it was loose so i got a new screws to hold the rotor to the hub but added 2 since on hondas theres 2 screw holes..@renaissancemaneric8019
Thank you for your uploaded video. Because of your video i solved my problem. My local car dealer technician also cannot find the problem. Wasted my money USD 200 change tie rod, ball bearing, stabilizer link. Still cannot solve the problem, somemore wanna change lower arm. After see your video. Ask the technician check the brake. My 2009 Lexus Es350 has had this pop noice for years! Lexus couldnt fingure it out. Since 2022, I replaced the Cv axles, control arms, ball joints, sway bar bushings and links, complete struts and today the engine mounts, and it still does it.
Hey man, good video. Hope you're doing well. I was hoping for your input on the issue I've been having. My Lexus has new front calipers, rotors, pads. New rear rotors and pads. When I press the brake pedal there's a very clear click, only one. It happens I'd say 7/10 times I press the pedal. I also feel a shaking when I drive the car which worsens with speed. Add to that a humming noise when I turn left. I've concluded that to be a front right wheel bearing which I will replace. I'm still unsure of the clicking noise I hear in the front end when I press the brake pedal. I have 4 new tires, recently balanced, and aligned. I explained to the alignment tech my issue so he went over my front end suspension and said everything was tight and in good shape. He says he thinks the brakes are probably the source of the issue. If what you're saying in your video turns out to be the issue, what's the solution? OEM pads? Thanks for your time..
Hey! Thanks for watching. Yeah typically if you have this going on oem brake pads will resolve the issue. Give akebono brake pads a try if you want to go with a good quality aftermarket

When I apply the brakes on my van it makes a clicking noise but I feel it also stabbing the pedal so I reckon its an ABS thing - the splined part of the shaft next to the sensor is very rough and corroded so it could be that throwing out the sensor maybe.
I hear a single clicking noise when I brake, but only when the car is in motion. If I’m at a stop light/stop sign, there’s no click. Any idea what that could be?

I will supply the original - manufacturer ATE brake pads
@@EuropeanAutoRepair Clicks are heard while driving, they do not happen only once. For example - if you go down a hill pressing the brake several times or approaching a traffic light, I stop and keep my foot on the brake pedal (the brakes are loaded), after when I start to move smoothly, a lone click is heard. If you do not slow down hard while driving, it does not appear. There is also a click when I start to slow down intensively, and after I press the acceleration again, a single click is heard again. I replaced the brake pads, as well as the original ATE guides (bushings and pins). I noticed that after replacing the textar there was a problem.

Hi. Is it dangerous to use the car when there is a clicking noise like that? It only happens when i first start the car and doing brake in reverse. Thanks
What’s a remedy to fix this you think? I installed some new power stop brakes and I’m having this problem. I’m thinking some shim in behind the hardware would help decrease the gap
Usually brake pads made to incorrect tolerances causes this, of course make sure all your clips and shims are positioned well and in good shape but you may end up replacing pads again
Hey, I changed my wheel bearings On the passenger side yesterday and today a clicking noise started coming from that spot, it only stops when I’m stepping foot on the gas and when I let go or only maintain a speed, it starts clicking again. The faster the car goes the faster it clicks

I have a 2022 nissan kicks, I’ve been experiencing a knocking noise when I brake at a low speed or turning with low speed. Started happening back in May and has been getting louder and more consistent. I’ve been told it’s a normal noise from a Nissan kicks however can’t find any information on it when I google the problem.. any suggestions?
My 2023 Kia Rio had the same issue. Each time I hit the brakes I hear this clunking/knocking sound from the rear end. I emptied out my trunk to see if the sound persists and of course it was still there so I had the technician at the dealership take a look at it while I was to service my car. They checked and said there is no problem whatsoever with the brakes (now i ain’t sure if they actually checked it cuz I wasn’t there to see, was in the waiting room). I couldn’t do it no more, it was annoying and interfered with my driving at times having me hit the brakes multiples times to make the noise go away. So I made an appointment at a different Kia dealership and have them check it out. They were able to replicate the issues, noise was coming from the rear end caliber, he said it was gripping too tight and they loosened it and no more noise. Voila! Cost me 190 bucks though. It was worth it.
I’m not sure what you have going on there. It might be a rear brake rotor with a bad spot on the friction surface, did the car sit for a long time recently?
