I watched it several times and it is funny ad. I read a lot of negative comments stating it is offensive. I don't see it offensive. Can someone state how this is offensive. Don't take this ad seriously from a religious point of view: first there were no mobile phones and the social media platforms then. Lighten up people. I did not see how this is offensive. I still don't see how it is offensive, please explain how it is offensive, it is obvious that it is not historically correct and they ad does not state this is what happened (based on historic events etc...). It is make believe and there is no insult to Jesus Christ (I'm christian), it is just make believe only and as the director stated it is to draw attention to organ donation. We should be able to enjoy the idea. I would agree with you if they did something else that would insult Jesus by action or words, but I don't see that happening here. Just easy up and enjoy it. It is not like making Jesus doing something that is against his teachings or doing something negative. It is all in good humor and for a good cause.

It is offensive because they are very clearly mocking Jesus, which to Christians he is our God and we love him. So watching someone mock someone you love is offencesive. I'm pretty sure that's very easy to understand.

As I mentioned in other comment that I wrote, if the ad does not make Jesus do something against his teachings or doing something negative, I will be the first to object. People still see Jesus as this little weak and despised guy but they forget that He will come as a Judge, every knee will bow to Him. Srt8 Lambro I think its someonething like 4 mins after death your organs are no good... They die too. So absolutely they are trying to get them as quick as possible. So if your family want to come and see you and say goodbye forget it at that time if you are organ donor. If you are technically "brain dead" they will try and talk your family that you are gone and to donate. The brain is a very soft tissue and can heal sometimes if given enough time but with the hospital getting such a big profit from your organs (not your family) of course they want you to donate.

Everyone saying that this ads mocks Jesus and Christianity etc., maybe so, but as Christians we should support their right to make this sort of ad. It is Christians who are having their freedoms eaten away little by little, and if we start screaming 'blasphemy' at every little meaningless thing that makes no difference to the truth that Jesus is God in the flesh, then we won't have a leg to stand on when we want to convey our own ideas and Islam calls us blasphemous. It would be pretty useless for this type of commercial to be based on Islamic beliefs as the percentage of Australians practising Islam is only 2.6% (Census figures 2016). Don't be an organ donor... Really not just because of this disgusting AD but because your organs die not very long after you do (so a lot of people are still technically alive but close to death) when they are cut open to get the organs worth thousands and thousands of dollars to the doctor's,hospitals and government. So forget your loved ones coming in at that time to say goodbye. They need to RUSH you off and cut you open while the organs still fresh. That is why so many people who are organ donors don't end up donating... The organs are dead. If you are technically "Brain dead" they will try to convince your family to turn off the life support and donate the organs even though a lot of the time because the brain is soft tissue it takes longer to heal. A lot of people on the register aren’t accepted at the time of their death either as there is no match for them at that point in time or the location factor. As for them being RUSHED away from their loved ones before being allowed to say goodbye, well this is where awareness of donation should be in place and respected by their loved ones. It’s the selfishness of the living that hold back the dead.

I am an organ recipient and of no particular faith, however I am disappointed in this ad because I can understand why people would be offended and how it would alienate a large proportion of the population we are trying to encourage to donate. I am also disappointed that such a serious matter is treated so flippantly. People’s lives are at stake after all! I would ask people look beyond this advert to the larger picture and discuss with their families about donating. To those who are offended I would ask you also look beyond it and understand this does not speak for all recipients or donors and that people of all faiths are waiting for a transplant.

As I mentioned in other comment that I wrote, if the ad does not make Jesus do something against his teachings or doing something negative, I will be the first to object. I think its someonething like 4 mins after death your organs are no good... They die too. So absolutely they are trying to get them as quick as possible. So if your family want to come and see you and say goodbye forget it at that time if you are organ donor. If you are technically "brain dead" they will try and talk your family that you are gone and to donate. The brain is a very soft tissue and can heal sometimes if given enough time but with the hospital getting such a big profit from your organs (not your family) of course they want you to donate.

One of the intentions (of the author) was to raise awareness about organ donation. It clearly has worked because here you are talking about it. The idea was conceived & written by a Christian man so there was no intention to offend or disrespect anyone.
Everyone saying that this ads mocks Jesus and Christianity etc., maybe so, but as Christians we should support their right to make this sort of ad. I don’t get easily offended, and think that you should be able to poke fun about any subject. But this is pure disrespect. These people should ask themselves if they would do this ad with any other religion other than Christians. If the answer is no, and it’s inappropriate for ANY other religion, then it is inappropriate for Christianity too. It’s amazing how people think that no religion or culture is allowed to be criticized/mocked unless it’s Christianity or European (western) ideals/heritage.

As for other religions, why not? There was a ad promoting lamb consumption last year that featured several gods/goddesses & the world didn’t end. Don't be an organ donor... Really not just because of this disgusting AD but because your organs die not very long after you do (so a lot of people are still technically alive but close to death) when they are cut open to get the organs worth thousands and thousands of dollars to the doctor's,hospitals and government.
So forget your loved ones coming in at that time to say goodbye. They need to RUSH you off and cut you open while the organs still fresh.
That is why so many people who are organ donors don't end up donating... The organs are dead.
If you are technically "Brain dead" they will try to convince your family to turn off the life support and donate the organs even though a lot of the time because the brain is soft tissue it takes longer to heal.
Please take my advice it's so nice you want to help people but think of you and your family. You are worth more close to death at the hospital than alive or dead.

em D because there needs to be a 100% match before transplant. You can’t just put anyone’s heart into another person. A lot of people on the register aren’t accepted at the time of their death either as there is no match for them at that point in time or the location factor.
As for them being RUSHED away from their loved ones before being allowed to say goodbye, well this is where awareness of donation should be in place and respected by their loved ones. It’s the selfishness of the living that hold back the dead.

I am an organ recipient and of no particular faith, however I am disappointed in this ad because I can understand why people would be offended and how it would alienate a large proportion of the population we are trying to encourage to donate. I am also disappointed that such a serious matter is treated so flippantly. People’s lives are at stake after all! I would ask people look beyond this advert to the larger picture and discuss with their families about donating. To those who are offended I would ask you also look beyond it and understand this does not speak for all recipients or donors and that people of all faiths are waiting for a transplant.

I'm a Christian and just because there's a lot of backlash at the moment from the LGBTQI community, it doesn't mean we stop loving LGBTQI people. So too with organ donation and atheists.
