During the Q&A portion of my speech at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a young woman tried to trick me by comparing abortion with organ donation. First of all, she didn't actually know my opinion on organ donation. Then, when she got frustrated and walked away, she yelled, "You're not worth talking to, Matt!" Matt? That's not my name!

Organ donation is a choice that person chooses to do with their own body. Abortion is taking the life of an individual without their consent.
What consent? They have no opinions or thoughts. So what consent do they have to give?
@@Filthee_casualyou dont have legal consent until you are no longer a minor.
@Filthee_casual actually it's been proven that they do have thoughts.
@@Filthee_casual the right to life. By simply existing as a human you do not consent to an unjust killing, which is why we call it murder and that’s illegal. Does this really need clarification?
@Filthee_casual did you know that babies in the womb can react to stimuli? What is that if not thought? And what about the rare few who actually have memories of their birth?
Or how about, let's not kill a defenseless human for our own comfort.
She really thought she had him pinned. When she didn’t, she threw a tantrum.
They always run away 😂
Thats a liberal for you! 😂
Exactly!! Like they always do
Absolutely, happens every time.
Calling him Matt was the cherry on top!!! 😂
She walked away because she realized as soon as the words came out of her mouth, she'd lost the argument. If you're winning a debate, why would you quit in the middle of it?
Bingo.
Not to side with her. But I would walk from debates if the opposing side is being difficult and unwilling to consider different perspectives.
@@MatteoGuzzi you’re delusional if you think Michael was difficult and she wasn’t
@@MatteoGuzzi Are you suggesting this was the case here? If not, I agree. If you are, you can't expect the other party to change their principles. They can go with your views and agree you are right, but those are not their views. So, you will have to debate about why their views are wrong, which the girl didn't do. She just expected him to think like she does, change his view of the topic to hers, and then agree, with no real reason to change his own views.
If a person dies because of organ failure and had no available donor, who murdered them? No one. If an unborn baby dies because their umbilical cord was cut, who murdered the baby? The mother and/or doctor.
Yah
ACtually, that is a pretty damn good argument-much better that what Michael was coming up with, for sure. He is RIGHT, he just didn't do a great job of explaining why, in this case-it's tough when you are up in front of an audience.
if the baby would be part of you, an abortion would be very PAINFULL.
it's not.
it's only very painfull for the baby that gets cut into pieces.
this modern women have no soul.
No organs of any women, gets destroyed or damage after a pregnancy.
the function of the womb is to give life a baby.
Whoever cut the cord.
@@graveyj2000 I think his beginning argument was good and on point but when he responded to her later that confused her a lot. He could have just explained the responsibility concept by simply saying mothers & fathers have an obligation to protect their little children. Child negligence is already considered a crime in almost all civilized society. Meaning a mother's womb is for the purpose of pregnancy and child born in it has the right to use it.

I think she just didn't understand it. She was still clinging to the liberal premise to which her worldview developed. It will take a long conversation to untangle her from her premise such that she can understand the argument of the opposition.
She says she doesn't have a choice about the baby, but she did have a choice, she chose to have sex
I don't think these people know those things are related. They see pregnancy as some kind of curse or punishment. Like a cancer to be removed.
yes that's true for the most cases of abortion except for the rare cases that involves rape. So they at least have to accept abortion should only be available in the cases of rape.

An organ cannot survive outside of a body. A baby can. Apples and oranges here.
That's true, but also note:
Without medical help, a baby could survive outside the womb after 24 weeks. Before 22 weeks it's extremely rare/impossible.
And sometimes, early in development we can see severe congenital anomalies e.g. that a baby is never going to be able to survive. In a case like that an abortion is needed.
She has two kidneys, why is she withholding one of her kidneys from the millions of people who will die because of her refusal to donate one of her kidneys?
I call for her gall bladder.
I was gonna say that! Lol
Yeah selfish bint
In her defence, she was talking about mandatory organ donation for people already dead.
So, is she a misplaced organ of her mom's body, giving her MOM autonomy over her body?
They never think their ideas through to the end result - only to the result they are after.
Yep. That's what she said. 🤷♀
Tell her, "Your mom just called, she wants to have a never-too-late abortion of you. Step right this way..."
This is exactly the point I give and they never get it.
Her argument is that the mother's womb is her own organ, and that the government doesn't have the right to force a woman to use her organ to sustain another person's life if your position is absolute bodily autonomy.
I would like to thank the Lady who spoke last, it took a lot of courage to do so, God bless you.
Yes, this is the 'trap' that abortion creates -- it forces women to either live in a world of unreality (in which they are easily manipulated for political power), or to admit that they have killed their own child.
Which is why they push abortion, constantly. It's a chain that they can put around the necks of women, to keep them picking cotton on the D voting plantation. The only way to escape requires them to admit they killed their own baby. Many women simply are not strong enough to ever overcome that... it's diabolical. So they live their entire lives ranting about clumps of cells, and voting for the people that enslaved them.
Michael should invite the second lady on his show. I want to hear her story.
The "context" that RUclips added was very interesting. They give 3 different names for abortion, but don't include the 4th one that Knowles talks about: "murder".
Says it all. No need for euphemisms
They say it's part of their own body yet you can feel it kicking you involuntarily
You got context? I didn’t get one
Pre-natal infanticide.
Yes! I hate how RUclips has to put their whitewashed description on all pro-life videos. They will not admit the truth, nor will they let anyone mull over the pro-life views.
“Logic is completely unrelated to what I was saying in the first place” 💀
It's the only thing she said that made a lick of sense.
And we all knew that already 😂
Oh my goodness I thought only I heard that😂😂😂
Yeah, back there, I wouldn't call that a debate, it felt more like a intellectual slaughter.
I heard that one. That was funny
I want to meet that lady who came at the end. 100% honest, her testimony and life story hit home. I'm a flawed man, and to hear her story of redemption brings me hope.
The response of the woman versus the child was classic example of what it is to grow-up. Bless the woman who had the courage to admit her failings. As for the little brat, life will teach her some valuable lessons.
I delivered my daugher at 33 weeks gestation. I spent a lot of time in that NICU caring for her surrounded by babies some of which were born much earlier and smaller than my own. I hear their cries, saw their live vitals on theor monitors, witnessed their loved ones prayers, that alone was proof enough that life is life no matter how small.
Amen life isn't valuable because the women wants the baby or not we are valued because we have a creator who knew us before we were born.
One of my grand daughers was born at 30 weeks, the other at 33 weeks. The difference in APPEARANCE was starling! But of course not much as the starling difference between a fertilized human egg and the little being two weeks later. A woman I know who had different knowledge than I used the term “miraculous”. The amount of information contained in the unfertilized egg and the triggering sperm, is far greater than that contained in the greatest commuter we have every built, but WE still, dispite what we know about eh genome, still do know HOW great. But also we do not know nearly enough about how the little body reacts with the woman’s body. Life interacting with life. Living person with living person.
Speaking as someone who could not have children, I find I've become more disgusted by the social view that sex is entertainment (as opposed to a resting place in marriage) and the sport must be free of consequences. The issue of rape, incest or danger to the life of the mother are separate to the main argument and are a decision between the parent(s) and their doctor. Setting those aside, this leaves economic, social and self interest as the motives for an abortion. This young women, who walked away exhibited body language that revealed she was not listening. So she didn't comprehend that Matt was clarifying and providing the logic of his argument. A shame, as she is too young to have lived the consequences of her actions.
In fact her most current regret may be asking Matt a question.
Control and autonomy over one's body is all well and good, but if you can't CONTROL yourself, such as keeping your knees together, effectively enough for what is an ephemeral experience, you have no right to debate the argument.
There are no accidental pregnancies. Pregnancy is the direct result of cause and effect.
However if you engage in sexual intercourse without birth control and don't become pregnant, THAT is an accident.
I am older than the last woman who stood up, and like her I have some regrets, but throwing away a child is thankfully not one. I was too busy I'm my 30s to think of children. However, my 40s and 50s were filled with an acute sorrow for a child I would never have. (adoption was set aside to care for a sibling) I can only say to young women, respect yourself. Sex is not power, nor will it fulfill self worth. Never think you will always have time later...because you won't. That child you choose to abort may be the only opportunity to be a mother you will have, and in 68 years of life, every woman I've known who aborted a child lived with questions and regret.
@@glenmacnicol7825 Finally, another person who sees, understands, and explains cause and effect. Thank you. There are observable laws in the universe, or else there'd be no Science (the study of hypothesis, observation, and theory--NOT conclusion--but even Science has its limitations).
You have hit the nail on the head when you say that not becoming pregnancy is the "accident". Why isn't this understood / told / taught? But in today's mindset, people think that sexual activity is a right, not an expression of life-long commitment to another person that most likely will result in pregnancy and a child (another 20 years of dependancy and a lifetime of love and connection).
I, too, have not had children, but my previous statement is crystal clear to me.

3:23 The face she makes when Michael says, “the purpose of a woman’s womb is to grow a baby” looks like she thinks it’s the stupidest shit she’s ever heard.
The baby is a SEPARATE HUMAN BEING! One’s organs will never live on their own and grew separately from the mother like an unborn baby will ! Michael, you have A LOT of PATIENCE to put up with such willful ignorance. Wow…

When women like this debate, it seriously harms the concept of women being so much smarter than men.

@@el_killorcure Yes that's what I meant, we're intelligent in different ways 😊
I've never heard of the concept of either sex being smarter than the other. I've met enough intelligent and not intelligent people in my life. Nothing to do with sex.
Even if you grant her premise, for organ donation, you did not put them in the position of needing your organs.
Right. It's more like inviting someone into your house and then 💀ing them for being there.
Indeed, I use this argument all the time, but unfortunately it goes right over their head, and they either claim that they weren't responsible for it, because they used birth control, or that placing someone in the position the demands you provide your organs doesn't create a moral obligation to do so. The reality is that reducing the chance of something happening, doesn't remove your responsibility, should it necessarily happen, and it is more than just a moral obligation, it is a legal one (I'd use the analogy I often do for this, but I'm pretty sure it would get deleted).
The analogy I use was presented to me as a pro-choice argument. If you are at fault in a car accident and the other person needs your organs to live. They try to claim that they still don't have a right to your organs but clearly didn't think it through. If you don't provide the organs, you are guilty of manslaughter and you wouldn't be had you provided them. So you're right, it doesn't matter if you did something to drive a little safer if the accident still happened.
That last woman's story brought me to tears.
Ton of respect for that second lady. The first one by comparison was so sad, trying hard to defend her evil. The second one has reconciled and is healing.
The reason for organ donation to be voluntary is that a for-profit hospital might be inclined to let you die to profit off your death.
If you believe that's just a problem on the private side, you're deluded.
You'd think everyone will have common knowledge, but no...
Wrong, that is not the reason. Your point has validity. Fare enough, some evil people would likely do that. But the rational for not letting the government own your body and take from it when they please, is philosophical and far deeper than merely stopping an instance of abuse. This is in the realm of God given rights or maybe you think of it as natural rights. Things you’re born with and entitled to as a human being. It supersedes government power. The government has no right to legislate the means of my body. We are not supposed to be property of the government. This does not contradict being pro life either. A mother purposely killing her own child is wrong, it violates natural law. It disregards human dignity
@@realMal1c3 Absolutely - it could actually be worse on the other side.
“Brain death” Is a medical fiction created to cause families to allow their loved ones to be killed in order to harvest the LIVING organs.
Not being an organ donor is a choice, being forced to would be immoral. She's arguing that innaction is murder while Michael is arguing that the act specifically engineered to kill a baby, abortion, is itself murder.
I get what you are saying but I think the "choice" comes down more to deciding TO BE a donor. Choosing not to be infers an obligation to do it.
@@78tagI mean yes, but my main point is that we can't call NOT being an organ donor murder because not all organs that are donated are even usable, it's just got potential to save a life. In contrast, abortion is an active choice that always results in the death of a human life.
@benperry4336 "abortion is an active choice that will always results in the death of a human life."
Thank you. I would really like to meet the person who termed an abortion as" a procedure that terminates a pregnancy."
That very definition was designed to confuse things. By that definition a natural birth would be an abortion. We both know that's not what is. Neither are procedures meant to save the mother from a pregnancy doomed to failure, that can or will result in her death or disfigurement. The procedures used, try to save both while ering on the side of caution for the mother. Except the methods used in ectopic pregnancies. Those simply cannot be saved and only harm or worse will come to the mother. Of course abortion clinics don't do those procedures.
He's so endlessly calm, polite, good-humored, and charming, no matter HOW many times he has to answer the SAME QUESTIONS. 😂 One of the perks of being a father.
“Not having an organ donor kills you” is fundamentally flawed. The failing organ kills you. 4:22
Oh Lord, He will NEVER be able to get through to her the difference between an organ and a piano!!
If you have to dehumanize a human to justify or rationalize your behavior... you might want to reflect. The baby, even the early days of a fetus is a new human being separate from both the father and the mother.
Yet they create laws that say you can be fined or jailed if you damage or kill a sea turtle in an egg.
REFLECT !! - that is asking way too much of them. They probably have a hard time even looking at their own reflection in the mirror - they know down deep they are wrong.
What you say to someone making this argument is "Is it ok for someone to stop feeding their 2 year old? It's just withholding resources right?"
She starting losing this the exact moment "Matt" opened his mouth to speak
She knows that organs need to be harvested from a live person right? Tell me you know NOTHING about organ donation without telling me. I mean people really need to do a little more investigating into what organ donation and reception actually entails😂

By this logic, if you have food and you are not coerced to give it to someone starving in another country, you are guilty of murder. It's absurdity to compare intentional taking of life to not actively going out of your way to solve another person's misfortune.
She had it all planned out, she knew that IF Michael would accept her framing she had him, BUT Michael didn’t accept her concept of Organs being commodities and therefore her reasoning went out the window, the moment she realised that her body started to physically shake and you can see her grasping at straws, when she lost the argument she stormed off

Yes they are! The doctors don't even give pain medications or put you out because the meds affect the organ they want. They literally cut you open and take the organ while your conscious!!! So nah, NOT an organ donor nor do I want someone else's organs.
yes, but unfortunately many people can't fathom this. the second you die they can't use your organs. here in the Netherlands a liberal party forced us to register as a donor or not donor. if you were late with your registration or you simply didn't care, or you didn't know about this new law the government automatically register you as a donor. luckily you can always make changes but many people ignore this.
@@captaindanger13 What this girl is not looking at is the real fact that this isn't just about "taking" an organ from you when you are dead. She had her whole argument written out on her phone. I'm sure she showed it to all her Leftist friends who proceeded to praise her genius, telling her how brilliant she is and how she's got him now. How that evil Michael Knowles is going down. But of course epic fail.
Beautiful testimony at the end. Thankful that she has found the forgiveness and peace that only Jesus can offer!
The interesting thing about her "organ" argument and everything is that if she genuinely believes organs are a resource to be used, then OF COURSE the baby can use her organs. Heck, the mother's body GROWS a brand new organ that the baby quite literally controls. The placenta is a new organ formed that the baby tells its needs to. This can manifest in the mother by cravings and such.
And like Michael says, there's manner to the organ as well. The meaning and purpose of the placenta is to feed the baby. Denying natural bodily functions is self destructive and in addition in this case is destructive to the child.
She’s like Natalie Portman in South Park, “Hummm…so” “Hummm…aha” 😂😂😂😂
May God bless the second speaker. Such a lovely but tragic testimony. We all make mistakes. Despite them all, Christ is King
6:34 I don’t like your answers so I’m going to run away… such an immature way to handle it.
She should be deprogrammed
How can another body be considered an organ? Micheal is a stone wall that cannot be toppled. Nothing phases him
The word is "fazes." Not a criticism, just trying to help. And yeah, clever arguments (which this wasn't) tend to fail when confronting basic truths.
Knowles power and strength comes from the fact that he's also secretly Matt Walsh....haha....he's a shape-shifting dual humanoid from the future.
She was so nervous for one but also definitely not worth listening to either. She was so sure to make her point she basically blinded herself to any reasonable thought.
She does not even know who she is talking to.
.
One of the millions of examples where you can tell the womb is differentiated because type 1 diabetes is not guaranteed to be passed down, it has to be genetically. In other words, you don’t give insulin to your baby innately. They make their own even in a type 1 diabetic mother. Calling a fetus just like any other organ is extremely disingenuous by any biological standard
This is why your my favorite host on DW, Matt Walsh
In addition to Michael's argument... a woman has bodily autonomy, that autonomy ends at her body... Like Michael said every organ is known for its function, the function of a uterus is conception, pregnancy and birth of another human being. If she feels that becoming pregnant is a loss of her bodily autonomy then she might want to reconsider actions that lead to procreation. Before a child can be conceived there is an exercise of bodily autonomy made to engage in sex, once that decision is made whether the full weight of the consequences of those actions is realized there is created the potential that you will become responsible for a life that is not "you"/yours.
Arguments concerning rape are a different line of reasoning that are related to autonomy but was not what was being used by this young woman, at least not in this exchange. Her argument did not presuppose the woman was raped, just that a woman not being able to kill her unborn child was a loss of autonomy. It is also interesting to note that she wants to equate a cadaver to a living child. One is a body the other is a living being with a body.
I don't think these people know Sex and Pregnancy are related. They see pregnancy as some kind of curse or punishment. Like a cancer to be removed.
She was not debating, only imposing.
I actually have donated organs (plural) and I fail to see her point. If I hadn't gotten those organs, indeed, I'd be dead. But, no one killed me. In fact, but for organ donation (ie, there was no such thing), I'd be dead. That's a far cry from taking a life.
Organs are not resources. Does this woman think that organs should be forcibly removed from living people to save others because she thinks organs are resources?
Kinda sounded like it, huh? Yikes! 😮
I disagree with her completely, but actually I think you and a lot of comenters here missed the point she was attempting to make. She was actually arguing the opposite -- that because anyone reasonable (including her) agrees that it would be ludicrous to forcibly take organs to save a person's life, that forcing a woman to "donate her organs" to her baby is equally ludicrous. She was trying to call out Michael as a hypocrite (and failing miserably, since her analogy is itself ludicrous).
The following lady was refreshing!! Praise be to the only One who redeems!
To the woman who changed her life, God bless you.
A baby isn't even a "part" of the mother, they have separate DNAs, yet according to her its her "organ"
It's terrifying to realize half the population thinks like this young woman.
These people see pregnancy as some kind of curse or punishment. Like a cancer to be removed.
Organ donations go to people who have already lived a life in which they got to explore our world, even if it was short (btw most organs cannot be transplanted to children or younger because of size and complications), but a baby in the womb has not had a chance to even experience a life in the world because of a person’s selfish reasons.
If you don’t want to have kids, then donate your uterus (which is an organ) to someone who would love to have kids.
She worked so hard to find a “gotcha” when all she did was throw her conclusion onto him and ran away 😂. Good debating skills.
Ectopic pregnancies are just tragic situations and no one should be shamed for them 🥺
