This is a great video. My son died eight years ago at age 22 from a hypoglycemic low. We followed the crap that the endocrine society told us and he was so insulin resistant that he would go from 500 to 5without knowing it in minutes. If I knew then what I know now through you guys and another whole food teachers he would be alive and well now. I send all my patients to you guys.
Amazing video / information from the pretty much best provider possible - somebody living with type I for years. Thank you. I hope this video explodes.
Thank so much for sharing this amazing experiences about insulin sensitivity. Is this applicable if you have your bladder removed? Thank you and God bless
Hello there. Enjoying the video. I have a question. Yes they say insulin resistance and prediiabectic. My question is , how do I get the FATS I need for bile. I’m doing low oxalates everything which means I can’t have Avocados anymore too. Please help
The foods your eating. Use cronometer if you want an idea if what macros the foods suggested contain. Remember the No1 goal is to keep fat calories to 15% to have an efficient insulin sensitivity.
For a slim person with HbA1c of 5.2, who eats a mainly whole food, all plants diet, sleep well, exercise and only eat during 8 hours, can fat intake be higher? Because I normally eat 30% of my calories from fat. Or will I be causing insulin resistance over time? I've eaten like this for decades and I'm 66 now.
@@chantelle5170Why do you keep saying saturated?Fat is so bad red meat.If it's organic grass-fed, how can that be bad people are having low be twelve's?I don't understand I have Insulin resistance hyper insulenimia why are Ben bickman stan ekberg, Ken barry , hason fung say to much refined is no good but carbs can cause the hyperinsulinemia or 2 hr insulin fasting not to drop.... @@joanneclark8256hi, research conducted in humans has consistently shown that saturated fats contribute to insulin resistance, if you google “fat + insulin resistance” you will see plenty of papers stating that. I’m not saying avoid it completely just limit it, I still eat meat but I just restrict my saturated fats intake which has helped a lot. There’s a lot of opposing opinions online but I just choose to stick with the research.
Curious if you people on high carb, healthy carb of course , low fat diet cause Hemoglobin A1C rise? This is my case. I started Ornish diet, which is exactly Dr is recommending, my A1C has risen .2 .
I signed up for the free plan twice. Never received the content. However, it forwarded me to buy the stuff. I really want to get my A1c down and keep it down and eat carbs (good). I am recently diagnosed with Diabetes (T2). Not over-weight, other indicators seem in check, whenever, I eat fruit my blood sugar goes up almost immediately and stays there for at least few hrs. Can’t eat quinoa or resistant starch… I really fed up.
Counter argument to the 1963 Randle study: Later studies have shown that metabolic regulation is more complex than the original glucose-fatty acid cycle suggests. Multiple factors and pathways including hormones and cellular signalling play significant roles in energy metabolism. The original study mainly focussed on muscle tissue, but subsequent research highlights the importance of other tissues like liver and adipose tissue, in regulating glucose and fatty acid metabolism. Other mechanisms such as inflammation and genetic factors contribute to the development of insulin resistance and type 2. Modern research emphasises the impact of diet, physical activity, lifestyle and metabolic health. These were not fully addressed in the original glucose-fatty acid cycle model.
Unable to disagree as I don't have Type I diabetes (or Type II) but after a long time on a low carbohydrate (7g or less per day) no plant diet I wont be going back to plants easily even if I do enjoy mangoes because the benefits for me have been astounding. I have been experimenting too, eating vegetarian, vegan, raw vegan, Paleo, D'Adamo eat for your type, sequential eating, food combining, OMAD, and Ekadashi fasting. Everyone would benefit from more movement, more sleep, and fewer meals per day. I thought excess carbohydrate and protein is stored as fat however you say excess fat is stored in the body. I thought excess fat is excreted and a low fat intake may result in stasis of bile in your gall bladder which could lead to gallstones. Looks like I will need to get a C-Peptide Test to see what is happening. Thank you 🙂
Fat Are the studies done on men or women?Because I'm far as I'm concerned.I'm being told that fat is very important, especially protein.Because as you age in metapause you need it you need it for your muscles also the Mylan
Right now my hba1c is 6.3%. I most recetly came to know that blood group B are the highest prone to type 2 diabetes followed by A group with O type being the lowest risk blood group also they're least prone to blood clots only most prone to peptic ulcers. The other risk factors for developing type 2 diabetes is family history, unhealthy unmindful reckless eating habits, lack of proper sleep, smoking, drinking, drugs, obesity
How are you getting your blood sugar's down? Are you doing plant base? I am so confused because there's keto. There's protein. It's too many mixed messages all over. Is it because we just have a different a type blood? I am an a type and I have the book, but I am losing hair because I don't think I eat enough meat. Maybe also from stress, but there has to be a common denominator somewhere. It seems like if you eat too much fat. Then maybe you shouldn't have so much carbohydrates. And if you have a lot of carbohydrates, maybe you should just be having meats and fats, maybe not both at the same time. Is that possible I have hyper insanimia which I believe is from the junk food in the sad diet. But things can come down and change once you get off.All that processed foods and sugar. But what's the next step?Do you focus more on the carbohydrate?Or do you focus more on the fat and the meat?
@joanneclark8256 doing intermittent fasting helps a lot 18-6 or 16-8,supplements like berberine, cinnamon, babiba, gymnema sylvestre,Fenugreek, acv helps a lot, walking 10 to 15 minutes after eating helps to regulate blood sugar, exercise like weight training helps. It is very important to consume atleast 56 grams of protein per day,low sugar fruits can be consumed, vegetables also need to be consumed regularly, avoid sweets, cakes, pastry, chocolates
What if you don't want to be vegan and include fat free greek yogurt in your diet? What would fat free greek yogurt do to your insulin sensitivity from a scientific perspective?
👍World Tour cyclists are among the most insulin creatures on our planet. They eat lots of carbs and perform insane amounts of exercise overcoming whatever amount of saturated fat they consume. (Saturated fat causes insulin resistance)
Hi Robbie. Can you please please please make a video on people with blood type B. My father in law has this and has type 2 diabetes. He is warned genetically that he is prone to be insulin resistant and to eat low carb. Please speak on this. Thanks.
I’ve been doing some calculations. 700 g carbohydrate = 2800 calories. Assume you are 75 kg, at 0.8 G protein/kg, = 60 G protein = 240 calories. If your fat intake is 15% of total calories, that is about 536 calories, bringing your total to 3576 a day. I’d be worried that eating that small amount of fat, especially plant fat, may not provide you with enough fat soluble vitamins, nor omega 3.
With IF body is starting to spend fat as fuel or food, so there is not logic to feed it with food (high carb diet) that is not fuel anymore for the body that has used to be on IF.. All other thing mentioned, exercising, sleeping 7-8 hours are doing the job, but giving again 'bad' fuel wont give the results.. What probably is the matter is after reversing insulin resistent problem there is no need of high fat diet, as there is no longer period side effect data of that type of diet, although it not spiking the insulin, and bad cholesterol by it's dimension is the problem for damaging the cardsio-vascular system, as bad cholesterol is not caused with high fat diet.. Also means that no need of that much IF is needed so diet can be healthy normal food and no making same mistakes with junk food, over-eathing and nohealthy lifestyle after getting on the road again..
Intermittent daily fasting is what he is suggesting in this video, as part of a diabetic daily lifestyle. There are so many types of fasts that are beneficial in their own ways.
Friend of mine for years had diabetes. He cut out ALL oil with maximum of 10% fat daily. He could not eat sugar for YEARS. He would black out. He is off his meds and to treat himself he has a spoonful of sugar! Seriously, remove all oil/fat!😊 Quit depending on the easy drug fix! Change your life! He did!👍
Worked ok for me, before you were born, but unfortunately when I got out of my twenties, I realised it ramps up inflammation. I've fasted 18 hours a day for a number of years, and keeping my carbs lower definitely helped me as I got older.

What about the myelin????????
Do you recommend a maximum of 15% fat for healthy individuals who adhere to a WFPB diet as well, for general health purposes?
Reduce fat, exercise more, sleep more, eat faster. Got it.
Not “eat faster”. Keep your daily eating within an 8 hour window.
