    I thought this for a long time and have been eating this way for a long time but was never sure. It is so refreshing and rewarding it makes me feel so much more secure about the way I am eating because it is exactly pretty much just like you’re saying on the channel but I do try to implement lots of high raw fruits and vegetables also. Caffeine seems to be one thing that definitely spikes up my blood sugar that many people don’t talk about. Also I think if you choose a diet that is high fat with just greens it does work for blood sugar but overtime talk about. I personally don’t think anybody that has blood sugar issue should ever have any caffeine. There are people in the raw food community on the 80 1010 diet with Douglas Graham that have gone to his Retreats and have basically reversed their diabetes which is high carb low fat diet based on raw food. But you can do it with like Douglas gram and also eat whole grains doesn’t have to just be raw food. I’m not totally sure about how often to eat but I do know if you have a grace period where you don’t eat for a few hours before bedtime. This increases the insulin sensitivity. I do think it is a good goal to stop eating at least by 7 o’clock and allow a few hours before bedtime to just not have food and drink tea or water this I think will create better sleep and natural hunger in the morning for breakfast increasing insulin sensitivity.last, don’t over eat bc if you’re over weight you’re insulin will always be worse.

    Chris, we need your organizational skills here: So Mastering Diabetes has 30g of fat, Dr. Gregor has 60 grams of fat (1/4 cup of nuts is 20 grams of fat, and 1tbs flaxseed are 5g of fat), and Walter Willett (Mediterranean) has 90g of fat (42% of calories from fat).
    So the "Mastering Diabetes" diet is Dr. Gregor's diet minus nuts and seeds, and Mediterranean diet is Dr. Gregor's diet plus 2 tbs of olive oil. When I target Dr. Gregor's diet, I usually land on the Mediterranean diet because I eat too many nuts and use olive oil in my stir-fry.

      Lots of people that eat high fat eat low carbohydrate vegetables on purpose and try to use fat as a way to have a fuel source instead of carbohydrates. I think this works for some people but for me I feel tired and kind of sad. They say it takes a couple weeks to adjust. But I rather eat carbohydrates and have lots of fruits and vegetables in antioxidants. I think it’s much healthier and then just have a small amount of fat enough of the healthy fats to stay healthy which for me is probably half an avocado a little bit ofOlive oil and maybe some salmon row eggs small amount daily

    I have had diabetes type two for 25 years. I tried controlling it by becoming a vegan for two years did not work. I adopted the carnivore lifestyle on March 22, 2024 at that time. My A1c was 8.7 in eight weeks, my A1c dropped 5.4 what I eat are ribeye steaks a little salmon, a little lamb, lots of butter and anywhere from 4 to 8 eggs every day. I do not eat any carbohydrates. I will never eat another carbohydrate because that is what caused my diabetes by not eating carbohydrates I've reversed my type two diabetes, you might want to check out Dr Anthony CHAFFEE

    "Why does my blood sugar spike after eating a meal"
    Because you ate and absorped sugar. Other names for sugar include amylose, amylopectin, starch, carbohydrates, sucrose dectrose, maltodextrin, fructose, lactose, cane sugar.
    You're welcome.

    This is my second day eating high carb from keto. Immediately after lunch my blood sugar was 180. Uh, ok...😮 I also applied progesterone cream. I wonder if progesterone can spike blood sugar?

    • @latinainwpb
      @latinainwpb 24 дня назад

      I heard a doctor who specializes in progesterone cream use (for adrenaline dominance) say that it blocks insulin as well. 😮 I figured estrogen might have the opposite effect so I did several searches about it and they confirmed my suspicion: estrogen not only helps prevent DM2 but it may correct insulin resistance and I'm having a hard time with that. I had been using progesterone cream for many years, I also used a tiny bit of estrogen on and off but stopped it several years ago and soon after I developed symptoms of diabetes (and accelerated aging) and last year was diagnosed with osteoporosis too. I just found out about estrogen so I asked my doctor to prescribe estradiol and hope to be starting it in a few days.

      Basically, you eat exactly the same way as you would for other Mastering Diabetes followers. The end game is the same: reverse insulin resistance. The rest will resolve.

    • @Mallchad
      @Mallchad 7 месяцев назад

      you don't reduce triglycerides in the blood and probably shouldn't because it's not likely to be good for you where exceededtriglycerides have no obvious downside in isolation
      If you would like to reduce blood sugar you need to mitigate something called the randle cycle where you cells stop absorbing glucose and fat from the blood when they have excess of the opposite. if you have excess of both it leaves toxins in the cell and excess toxic sugar in the blood
      then you compare high fat and low fat diets and realize fat is a requirement for human nutrition and absorbing fat soluble vitamins and glucose is not. a low or 0 carbohydrate diet is the only option for humans and you will not have blood sugar issues if you're not eating sugar

    • @Mallchad
      @Mallchad 7 месяцев назад

      it's the correct way though. Humans do not need carbohydrates in their diet.
      the human body has an entirely fat based metabolism and there is no obvious toxic effect of fat in a healthy human. glucose however is always toxic in any amount to living cells

    Nuance. I have your book -- recently diagnosed with pre-diabetes. Check blood sugar, bp, and LUMEN throughout the day. High carbs send my blood sugar to 160+. All a bit frustrating. I wonder how long it takes to see a lowering in blood sugar?

    • @Mallchad
      @Mallchad 7 месяцев назад

      that's roughly the normal range after eating carbs unless your body is super sensitive and can clear blood glucose easily. the idea is either clear fat or glucose from your diet and your cells can work on clearing the other from your blood efficiently
      glucose is not required to stay alive in humans. fat and its fat soluble vitamins is. that is the reality

    • @k8eekatt
      @k8eekatt 4 месяца назад +1

      Are you testing on waking and then one hour after eating,and two hours after eating? Keep a chart for each day over a week and you will have more useful info. Many have experienced that drinking a TB of (Braggs) raw apple cider vinegar with the mother, in a pint of water, will help lower the speed at which carbs enter the blood. Have the vinegar before every meal. You can add a little stevia if it is too tart.

    It takes alot of discipline and self control and the truth is carbs are a moderation food group and as for protein meats,veggies,fiber are a main source of stability of what you need. And the most important thing is to pay close attention to your intake and what should be the most examine because it can be effective when you just throw anything bad and dont care to look at of how much harm that you are doing to yourself instead of just being mindful to stay happy and Healthy.
