It is now 13 years since you put up this video and I am still making Christmas Stockings to this pattern. Lost count of how many I've made over the years for friends and charity craft fairs.

Concerning the loop for hanging. Insert the loop folded side down (raw edges up) between the cuff and the stocking. Sew as instructed. The loop will be sewn right in. No need to hand sew the other end to the stocking. Hope this makes sense.

As the mother of a learning crafter who is getting confident with her first sewing machine, this is exactly what I need to get her started on a more “intricate” project which is still mostly straight seams. I drafted and cut the pattern pieces this morning over coffee. Thank you so much for putting out tutorials!

This is terrific! Thanks so much! As a shortcut, I sewed both ends of the loop into the seam at the same time, so it was hidden. Can't wait to hang them. This is the best!

I saw stockings in a catalog for $39 each! I tuned into this sweet lady and after watching her tutorial I made 3 stockings for $5. I did take the cuffs to be personalized.. All three were $6. So each averaged $3.66. She definitely inspired me!

Jenny, you are such a good teacher! My cat could follow your instructions. I think the difference between you and tutorials by others is you make the project and let us see what to do instead of "telling" and leaving us to our own. I always understand you! Thank you. This is a great Christmas gift bag idea!

I had to watch a few times and finally got the cuff on right, then I forgot the hanging loop - LOL!!!! I so enjoy watching all of these videos. I'm a self-taught sewer (well, my husband taught me how to use HIS sewing machine, then I started Googling and watching videos). Your videos are some of the best - I like how you actually show the sewing part and not just piecing projects today and say what to do. I need to see how it is sewn. THANK YOU!!!

Jenny, I was watching a video of a quick way to turn straps, or stocking holders, when trimming off say the clean straight cut of fabric, you use that strip on the outside of your sewing strap, and make it longer than your project and pull that and you can turn your project easy peasy, just cut that off at the lowest place without cutting your project and you have it turned in no time. I used it an apron that had long ties and Wow it worked so nice, they were thin for a kido, and that was a nice refreshing way to use that little tid bit.

A few years back, I asked a quilting friend (buddy) to help me make several hundred of these for kids in Foster Care. The following years it expanded to a local radio station, to homeless individuals, and year we included women's & children shelter's. Unfortunately, due to my machine being destroyed in an auto accident, then loosing my all fabric in a recent fabric in a hurricane. I was unable to do any this year. Which broke our hearts.
