Jenny, as a bored retired Senior on a limited income, you have given me something to occupy my hours! My unused sewing/embroidery machine is finally out of the box and being used! This adorable stocking is my first project. Thanks and God bless you for making quilting so easy to do. MERRY CHRISTMAS!
I am a new grampa and for my grandsons first Christmas I want to make him his Christmas stocking that he will always have. Thank you for the tutorial on this.
My adult daughter told me it was about time I changed the stocking she'd had since she was 4 years old! This is the perfect project. I love that Jenny shows the entire process including the quilting and finishing of the cuff. I'll finish these while it's still cold outside!
I made 16 stockings last year for my grandsons, nieces, nephews, sisters, and friends. They all turned out beautifully, and they're so fast and easy to make. I added a hanging loop to all of mine. Santa had something extra special to fill, and my boys loved helping make their own stockings. Thank you for all you do Jenny!
Making these for my 2 great grandsons, ages 51/2 years and 4 months, and they are turning out so cute. Just using reds, whites, and greens and some of the material was my mother's quilting stash, so great great grandma is helping with this too...Thanks for all the wonderful ideas and your pleasant way of presenting them...Merry Christmas!
Many, many thanks for this tutorial! I finally made Remembrance Stockings from my son-in-law’s late father’s blue jeans! Used stitch in the ditch and embroidered their names on the cuffs. My granddaughters & their parents loved them!!! Great pattern!!
I made 2. Used some scrap ends from jelly rolls that I had left when making table runners, they weren't quite square, but I made it work. They are beautiful. Thanks Jenny! I love your tutorials and have learned to quilt watching you (made 2 twin quilts for my mother and mother-in-law for Christmas). Thank you so much.
Oh my Gosh. How many times have I watched this and made a new stocking for the new babies in the family. Added a hanger and a matching inside. Thanks as always for the inspiration!
I can see I need to get busy! What a cute project. I'm gonna make one tomorrow for a friend that is visiting. The only thing I'd add is a loop to hang them, It can be sewn right into the cuff seam so when you turn it, it pops up. Thank you Jenny and MSQC! :)
Thanks for this project, Jenny. I had several Christmas fat quarters bought on sale last year, so I made 20 of these for a friends' daughter's kindergarten class. A great way to bust some stash.
I've made more than a few Christmas stockings using an earlier tutorial you put online, which I love. Now I'll have to try this new pattern but I suspect your first Christmas stocking tutorial will remain my favourite. Thanks for the ideas.
I am in the process of making several of these. Love the idea and tutorial. I layed all of mine out where I wanted them and then chain pieced! (it was great) I never cut any of the chaining stitches, so they held everything together :) I chained the first two vertical rows together, then attached the 3 vertical row to the second vertical row, again chain piecing. Then followed with the 4th vertical row in the same fashion. Then I sewed them together along the horizontal rows. The chain stitches held everything together, making them go together quickly and easily.
What a lovely stocking. Maybe next year. lol Too many projects going, but at some point I would like for all of the stockings to match. Thank you so much. You are such a good teacher!
Jenny, love your tutorials. Love your voice, your teaching, your style your ability to simplify your sense of humor your stories etcetcetc. You make the best and easiest to follow tutorials!
Hi I made 3 stocking last year for my son's family and a baby quilt . Never done them before they came out lovely . My son has a new baby so guess what I'm doing again this year . 1 more quilt and a stocking I love quilting . I usually make hand made cards . I'm quilting all because I watched one of your videos. Thank you xx
Jenny! I wish I were there with you making these!!! I so enjoy watching you sew on Friday morning! "Speed Stitching" is my most favorite time of day...This one is going on the list of Christmas things! Along with 150 ornaments which are finished up to the last step!.. Thanks for validating the "fun" side of sewing.. Hugs, GrammaBabs (2015 retreat gal from MA)
I'm doing this now..just a bit different...I'm sewing jelly roll strips together and cutting them down...by doing multiple sets of four I'm able to still get a scrappy look just by alternating and turning the strips...love this tutorial!!!!
Thanks, Jenny, for this darling idea for Christmas. I'm starting one for each of my grandsons right away. I know they'll love them and I certainly have lots of scraps from all the Christmas quilts I have already made (using your tutorials) this season. Merry Christmas to you and yours.
Jenny, I love, love, love your videos! You have taught me so much. I just started seeing but was determined to make this stocking. I got all the ladies in my family together and we spent the day watching and rewatching this video! I think my stocking turned out pretty good :) Thank you!!
I love this video, I am a visual learner and this was a great step by step project. I did however add a degree of difficulty to it by embroidering names on the cuff, they came out great. Thank you, I really enjoy all your RUclips videos!
Grèat tutorial!, I am going to make a couple of these for baby gifts! I will put a hanging tab in it though. You do such a good job of explaining everything!,
Jenny, thank you so much for the Christmas stocking pattern. I've been looking for an easy pattern to do and you have come to my rescue 🤗. Can't wait to try it. Thank you, thank you 😘
This is so cute! I'm thinking of making them as gift bags this year and using the person's favorite colors in the scheme. I have a friend who loves Halloween, so I think I'll use Halloween fabrics! Thank you!
I love your stocking and you inspired me to try doing a patchwork stocking. My first stocking I tried I used strips but the second one I am going to try this. I have a jelly roll to use up so I can make lots.

I am a new grampa and for my grandsons first Christmas I want to make him his Christmas stocking that he will always have. Thank you for the tutorial on this.
I would probably add a hanging loop between the top of the stocking and the cuff before attaching these two pieces. Turned out very cute.
Yes, you're so right! Thanks for your input!
Yes! New to sewing..i loved this..but now need to watch HOW TO ADD LOOP for hanging..
How do you add a hook?

Excellent video. You were cracking me up, throwing the thread on the floor, then the extra fabric on the floor, lol. You are an excellent seamstress.
Add a hang loop and embroider the name ... love this!
Loved this one! I added a loop so that it could be hung and my kids loved them!
