I'm learning to sew and decided stocking would be the first thing to sew😊 I've watched many video's and this is t5best video tha5 makes me feel very confident in making man5 stocking Thank you so muchhhhh😊😊😊
WOW!!! I have made a lot of stockings over the years, and I always thought they were easy to make, but compared to this, they weren't. I will be making all my stockings this way from now on, what a time saver. Thank You for sharing your time, and your talent with all of us.
Wow this is a really very interesting way to make a stocking. Going to try it but want a bigger cuff so will make an adjustment. Thank you for sharing!!!
I am a very novice seamstress. Haven't sewn in years. I want to try and make stockings for my grandchildren. You make it look so easy. Do you think this techhnique would work if I wanted to try Fleece fabric and have no lining?
Hi you will need two layers as you need the lining for the part that folds over the top of the stocking - it also will not show any seams when you have two fabrics. I hope this makes sense - if not please let me know
Thank you for sewing ideas, great time savers. I sew for charities made 11 Christmas Stockings today used my overlocker saved clipping seams looking forward to making move of your techniques . much appreciated .
I’ll be using your tutorial today with my little sister who is a teenager, beginner sewist. She wants to make a gift and this is, by far, the easiest method I have seen. Thank you and Merry Christmas to you!
OK I'm hooked!! but.... i've got a question, the white fabric (inner - used for the cuff) is it the length of the pink fabric, or is it just a wide(ish) strip on the top?? I couldn't see it's length, and am in a muddle about it!! 🤩 this is a great tutorial on how to make LOTS of stockings easily!!! thanks in advance.. xo e. NB 🇨🇦I just PS: I just watched the drawstring bag tutorial - and got my answer for this video... The the white fabric is ALSO the lining of the stocking, so yes, it needs to be the length of the pink fabric!!!.................. thank you SEW much!!!! xo e.
I completed over 30 stockings following your great how to video, just in time for our fundraiser crafters sale proceeds going to our neighborhood school@@megelles
I love this method. I've accumulated a lot of scraps. Small, and medium sizes from selling first time. Making jean bags had more. I thought of making stockings. Even piecing some scraps. This one step to sew is amazing! Will share your video when I try some tomorrow!
@@megelles I just watched it. I'm so happy to find your channel! I make those too from tshirts. I let comment there. I will lookmfor your Facebook too! We ran errands to big town yesterday so didn't get to try. Will be trying stocking and bag today!
@Megelles Matter of fact, that’s exactly what I did - watched your drawstring Bag video! Love your videos and I made so many of your ... little crossbody pouches
There are only the approximately measurement for the top the stocking 2-3”. But it does depend on the size of course. You can also experiment yourself with different sizes depending on the look. Happy sewing. Cheers Lisa
Wonderful video, thanks. Just one question. When you have your four layers of fabric lying flat on the table, ready to be sewn, are the two pieces for the lining lying with right sides facing, if you want to do a lining with a pattern, rather than just flannel, or a plain white ?
Hi Gena. Yes, you can add a layer of batting. Put the batting onto the back of the outer fabrics. You can then quilt it. Or you can use an iron-on Pellon or interfacing - iron it onto the wrong side of the outer fabrics. Then use my method. It works extremely well. Happy sewing. Cheers Lisa
You ARE a GENIUS! This will save me so much time sewing 10 family stockings! I am so blessed to have found your tutorial! Thanks kindly😍

Yes, exactly. They are right sides together. cheers Lisa
Love your tutorials. May I ask what model janome you are using please ?
Hi Emmaleen. Thank you. This one is a Janome 15000. I love it. Cheers Lisa
Isn't the stocking way too thin without batting???
Hi Gena. Yes, you can add a layer of batting.
Put the batting onto the back of the outer fabrics. You can then quilt it. Or you can use an iron-on Pellon or interfacing - iron it onto the wrong side of the outer fabrics.

Hello
Happy Sewing.
From my Mom: So where the hell is the PDF pattern? Not subscribing here. You're too lazy to do something for the viewer. Dam.
Hi @billbottoms8295,
Thank you for your interest in the pattern. The usual response is to ask for the pattern template link.
Best regards, Lisa
