I am making a gift bag for the wife of a teacher friend in Melbourne (I am in the US)..And she has an expression: "So, what's your strawberry bit?" She means what valuable things did you take away from the lessons? Well, it happens - someone gave me two lovely pink strawberry buttons and I found fabric that matches it, bang on. And I have the lining and some wonderful pink silk cord. Now I know how to whip this up in no time flat and have it look perfect!! Cheers from New Orleans (it is October 2024 a I write)...

@Megelles What's confusing is that in the video, you say "sew along the thick black lines" but nowhere do you say WHEN to cut it out -- on the pattern itself, it says "1. Trace onto double fabric 2. DO NOT CUT OUT YET!" Does that mean you sew the black lines and THEN cut it out? You don't show cutting it out in this video.

Fairly simple for someone who doesn’t sew very much! Truthfully, the drawstring part was the trickiest for me but I finally got it!! I used ribbon instead of cording.

Your technique is the best! I was able to make 4 bags last night. I watched videos all over the internet and made many bags in the last few years. None of the instructions were easy enough that I would want to do them again. I was always looking for a way to whip up a bag quickly. YOUR WAY was EASY! I feel like you have opened a new door in sewing! I love all that you do. The zipper short cut is a game changer. Your Tote bag is next on my list to do. Please make more videos.
