Shoutout to the Mars hydro FC6500 for being a total beast✌✌✌
Question, im new to leds. Just purchased fc 6500 evo. If you can achieve safe numbers at 18" by dimming the light down. Is that an option or is full power recommended for good growth?
In doing a ton of research into the big name grow light manufacturers, I have NEVER read a single positive comment about Mars Hydro’s customer support or warranty service. Suffice to say, we won’t be buying their lights.
your right mate and same company own spider farmer too they are off there heads. I 1:02 had a broken light asking them to get it fixed under warranty, there reply was we will send you parts so you can fix it yourself though am not electrical engineering me I could start a fire if I did something wrong and still got no where so take my advice dont buy from cheap lights companies on Internet and buy from a grow shop so you have someone to deal with

if you swap to 240 volt, is there required wiring change on the driver ? or plug and play....
You need to use plug adapter or 240v socket, then plug in it works, the mars light can work at AC100-277V .
We use a number of Mars products and are quite happy with them. BUT, they seem to have no qualms with shipping goods with physical damage and then making it extremely difficult to have the product replaced. They would rather throw a few free gifts at you to shut up and keep the damaged goods.
Try 8inch at 500w 🙂
mars hydro really stepped up it's game in the grow light industry they're making some nice lights now

Definitely Too expensive, if you going to spend that type of money, might as well get the better full spectrum Kind lights

I just saw a review of it from several years ago, yesterday. Called out as a big waste of money! Regular HPS were more efficient, and still much less expensive then Kind.
It was a video from another LED grow light manufacturer, that I don't think is around anymore (?). Some honest knowledge about LED's that I hadn't learned before.
There's a collection/series of videos, from as long as 7 yrs ago. He takes apart a Kind LED fixture and explains how it's built, etc. I was surprised by what I learned, and hadn't seen before.
I'll reply with the company/channel name. It's a blast from the very near past.

@@Ridvepis that’s the best lights I ever used, everything else I put up against it doesn’t measure up……Now I’m talking about spectrum, kind lights is the closest to the sun that I have measured, I thought the new Samsung diodes would produce a better spectrum and it didn’t! When I measured it compared to the Kind X420, it wasn’t close! Nothing I have ever used produces the same oily, sticky gooey trichomes I get with the kind light, and I have to attribute it to the full spectrum and IR+UV! If you like those cheap lights, I love them for you!😂 what you grow don’t get me high,😂 and vice versa!

your moving it to fast it says 616 in the corner and you dont stop and let us see where the 616 is in the corner, i guess they gave you this light for free and you didnt want to say it was below 750 so you just said the corner is 780 back there but i clearly saw 616, if they gave you the light and you want to please them your doing it allll for the wrong reasons, because your creibility has just been lost, your word and turth on a review is everything, just ause they gave you lights nd materials or money doesnt mean you sell us stuff that isnt what your saying it is. you have to stop in the corner when it says 616 not jut keeep moving saying higher numbers

Going to have to agree. I have two lights with app control, an FC-E1500 and a FC-3000 Evo, and can't get the timer function to work on either.
