My plants keep stretching and are going past the light now I've had go super crop them. It's only my first grow that's why I was wondering are my plants stretching because the lights at 80%?
@@justinholtgrave thank you. One of my plants is so big that it took over the other plants. It takes up around 35, 40% of the whole 5x5 tent. It just keeps on going.

Best thing to do when the plants are still growing is to start at the max.(example. 40CM) possible height and then let them grow to the min.(30CM) possible height, rinse and repeat. In the flowering period as low as possible. Flowers started to turn white from too much light exposure with a 600W HPS at around 25CM to 20CM. Hi Shane, what's the procedure with light and DLI when flipping to 12/12. If I have understood the theory correctly, light intensity has to be increased to maintain DLI?
Same here only I experimented by using the same strain and only giving half uvb. The difference was unbelievable. Only a moron could deny the science plus results I had.
3:34 600w of any decent LED hung at the top of a 6ft tall 4x4 is more light than soil can keep up with. Any color other than 1 shade of green before F7 is too much light for the roots to keep up with. And if they won't stay green and praying happy prayers with all the watts you got, then every 2" you raise the light adds 1" of penetration. More PPFD to the bottom of the canopy when the top is already maxed out.
Forever green didn't give hanging heights for their gen 1 lights. I had to find the best hanging height and I found that if I could get the center of the light at 1200 ppfd the edge seems to be about 900 ppfd. It works well for us. Then I adjust the power percent based on ppfd. Then it's a game of keeping the stretch short of the light. We run racks and are limited on height. Sometimes I'll even push 1200 early just to slow the stretch
