    This is a review video with the older style mask. The air-vent system has now been completely redesigned and air-vent noise is no longer an issue. The vents are now very very quiet.

    I've just received this from the NHS sleep clinic, to replace the Quattro FX that I've been using for ages. It's certainly a more interesting design, I think it might take a little while to get used to, but the one thing that's really noticeable is how much louder it is when it's on.

    Thanks for this review!! I just got my new mask and I’m having some trouble adjusting to it!! However, you hit on all the issues I am having with it. Honestly speaking, I got a headache from it but I thinking I might have had it on too tight.

  • @michelleishappy4036

    Would like to see a view from the back. I just got this today. The man fit it to me in-store. Yet at home , it felt like it needed tightening. So I adjusted the velcro . Now the bank of my neck hurts. My lips and tongue are still numb after loosening it. When I exhale, it feels so warm inside which is uncomfortable. I am brand new to CPAP. Air comes out above where the hose connects. Not around the seal. Is this right? 🤷‍♀️ p.s. your video is the best of the first one I saw.

Have you ever come across - Panvaryor Unexpected Preference - (search on google ) ? It is a great one off guide for discovering how to eradicating sleep apnea and snoring without the headache. Ive heard some decent things about it and my co-worker got great results with it.

    I am at 20cm of H2o I've been using the airfit f20 for over a year now and I don't like it, I wake up with face farts all the time and have to tighten the head gear some more, it leaves marks on my face. What I hate the worse is how the head gear cuts into the back my neck because I have to have it so tight. Next time I'm due for a mask I'm going to try out the resmed mirage quattro or I hate to think about it but I might have to go to the fitlife total face mask. Seen where they go from 4cm to 40cm/H2o. Watched reviews, some loved it and some hated it, will have to find out for myself.

    One thing these videos dont show you is the actual tightness of what the mask will feel like when its actually on the face, and how my head feels when i wake up when i put it on too tight lool. This F20 mask is the best one i have had. It doesnt really leek and i do get a solid 7-8 hours on the regular , i have had this product for a year well worth it if u need a full mask.

    I used the Air Fit F20 for the first time last night, after experiencing a year of air leakage using either nose pillows or nose masks. The experience was no different. The mask leaks regardless of how tight a have the mask secured against my face. The mask makes one of two distinct sounds: Ocean waves moving towards the beach, or, someone passing gas. Both sounds kept me awake most of the night. I wonder if the foam cushion, rather than the silicone cushion that comes with my F20 might be a better choice?

    • @susandiane311
      @susandiane311 6 лет назад

      I've been using the same mask for a little over a week and have had the same experience as you. Funny thing is the display still indicates that the mask is on correctly even though the mask is leaking.

    • @DD-wd7ku
      @DD-wd7ku Год назад

      I too have problems with this mask. I have the model with the foam surround on the cushion. The size chart shows that I need a L size mask. However, I have trouble with leaks even though the machine tells me the fit was ok, also the mask fit check shows it's good. I get nose bruising, with a lump, even though the cushioning feels soft. This may be as a result of overtightening to reduce leakage. I find that the M size gives better seal but sits low on the nose bridge, given further bruising. Also, dry mouth is more of a problem with a full face mask than with nasal pillows and mouth tape. It sure is too expensive to keep trying different mask styles and sizes to find the best fit.
      It would be good to see some information about adjusting pressures and humidification when using the different mask styles.

    Good review thank you! I have this mask and it is very comfortable. I started with the size M which felt like I had a pancake on my face and the top part rested on my nose which caused a red sore . Sooo bought a size L. It seems much better and my nose doesn’t touch the plastic sides ( which really annoyed me!) Mostly I don’t get leaks… except for some reason last night. I have noticed that I now have a red ring around my face where the mask sits. I’ve been using it for roughly 6/7 nights. What would be the cause of the red rash? My other masks didn’t do this.

    I love the mask to. But the silicone cushion keeps tearing up at the top of my nose. I'm getting the third mask this year! First on lasted three months, second 4,5 month. My health insurance company expects me to use a mask for a year. Anyone else has this problem?

      I got the Air Touch F20 and it is much better for that nose bruising. In fact it is the ONLY one that works for me. My Insurance covers monthly cushion replacement, and you must replace this cushion as it deteriorates due to it being so soft. So get this cushion, it fits your F20 Frame, then change Insurance Co. ! FYI I use United Healthcare.

    What's the difference in the one with the memory foam cushion ? .. just the foam vs the silicone ? They look identical to me ... I am starting CPAP next week for the first time ever the mask I used during my sleep study made me feel very closterfobic like I was suffocating I didn't like it at all ... but this F20 looks like the one for me

    • @juanavila565
      @juanavila565  7 лет назад

      I'm guessing you're referring to the Airtouch F20? Though I haven't personally tried it, the mask with the foam looks to have a more comfortable feel around your face. The nature of the silicone allows you to feel less pressure on your face than you actually have. So in other words, a tightly strapped mask might not feel very tight at all but still create the same level of seal.
      Memory foam can be a comfortable but fragile material, I'm a bit concerned about bacteria build up in the mask foam and how to wash it away. Also, any memory foam begins to change shape the more you use it, so I'd be interested to see how resistant this memory foam pad is. I might be getting the mask in the near future so I'll keep you posted about my experiences.

I had one night on the machine during my 2nd night of my study and I must say I DIDN'T LIKE IT .... So I am very interested in this mask your review is very helpful to a newbie .. The mask they put on me was the Respironics Amara View which started to leak on and off throughout the night

    • @juanavila565
      @juanavila565  7 лет назад +2

      If the mask is building pressure on your nose bridge, you can always try loosening up the top straps a bit and compensate by tightening up the bottom straps a bit more. With this mask, tightening it up so it feels snug is enough to avoid leakage and also prevent any nose bruising from my experience. I will say, depending on how much I tighten up the mask on a given night, with the Airfit F20 I might wake up with a small bruise-like spot on the bridge of the nose. However, in my experiences, this spot always goes away after about 5 minutes of removing the mask.

    I've just started using CPAP and been using the P10 nasal pillow and the mask is SUPERB, I love it. I don't even feel it on my head.
    However, I need to buy a backup full face mask for occasions when I get nasal congestion. Since I work with people I am worried about red marks that full face masks leave on the face. Is this mask a bit better in terms of not leaving them or is more or less the same as any other full face mask?

    • @juanavila565
      @juanavila565  7 лет назад

      In my opinion, this mask is superior to others I have tried in that respect. I had an Airfit F10 sometime before purchasing the Airfit F20 and it left the worst red marks I have ever had. I also had a Fisher and Paykel Simplus, and that mask would not seal unless it was very tight against my face, which also caused me to wake up with horrible red marks.
      I'm still using the Airfit F20, and still not getting any red marks or any other issues. If you do end up getting a full face mask and start getting some red marks, you might find this guide to stop CPAP mask irritation useful:

    You look awfully young to be using CPAP. :) Are you still using the Airfit F20? If not, what are you using now? I just started using this after about 4 years using air pillows. Because I frequently have nasal congestion and end up mouth breathing, my doctor suggest going with full face which I used originally 6 years ago. I have a problem keeping the Airfit F20 properly adjusted. I'm always getting leaks, and sometimes it raises up above my mouth while I'm sleeping. The only way to resolve those issues is to have it extra tight which then makes it very uncomfortable. I'm thing about trying something different but I don't know what. Thanks.
