I had a very close friend, who was schizophrenic and he talked and sounded exactly like Brian. Even talked out of the side of his mouth. Pet sounds fit into his delusions. When I close my eyes and listen to this I hear my old friend. It’s Erie.
Really nice interview, it’s hard to get Brian comfortable and to get him really going, this interviewer was the right amounts of kind and gentle while showing he knew his stuff on Brian’s career. A rare treat!
I had a scitzophernic friend who he sounds exactly like.I almost wonder if he modeled his speech patterns after (my friend after Brian of course) him. Pet sounds was an album that tied into his delusions quite a bit. He even spoke out of the side of his mouth like Brian. I close my eyes and I hear my dear departed friend. It’s crazy.
Every time I get the inspiration To go change things around No one wants to help me look for places Where new things might be found Where can I turn when my fair weather friends cop out What's it all about Each time things start to happen again I think I got somethin' good goin' for myself But what goes wrong Sometimes I feel very sad I guess I just wasn't made for these times ❤💔❤
A normal mind… they’re so rare that our society labels them as different, crazy, or weird. But, it’s actually the legion that are all those thing and more. I’m not talking your sexuality or race either, that’s a characteristic, not a trait. Those people who claim being attracted to the same sex makes them interesting or special are very misguided and wrong. It’s a guy like Brian Wilson or Eckhart Tolle, people that are logical, rational, even keel that are special and interesting. Attacking people over their views and beliefs is the exact opposite of that. We need more actual normal people in this world. I don’t think it was drugs either that made Brian so different, he’s always seem to be pretty rational and lacking ego. So, don’t try to use that as an excuse or reason.
I love listened to Brian Wilson talk. He is honest and pure.

Couldn’t hold a tune to save his life though
I’m hip to the Beach Boys. Surf’s Up and Pet Sounds melt my ears, my mind and my ego daily.
But… are you hip to be square?

One of the better interviews I’ve heard with Brian. Good job!
I’m 22 and am VERY hip to The Beach Boys

Look up late Daniel Johnston interviews. It's slurred speech caused by anti psychotic meds

I love the interviewer too❤
@Lisa unfortunately he didn't show that compassion and kindness to the women was in relationships with
I enjoy the song "The Like In I Love You" from BW's Disney album of Gershwin favorites.

dude was a horrible interviewer imo.. even before he got cancelled, always thought he came across as arrogant, and the opposite of being affable..
