    Hey man, great channel! Thing i was missing in this video though is how to cleanup Rokoko mocap data in iClone that has erronious keyframes. For example, my characters arm just changes rotation one from to the next. I'd expect there to be a way to address those keyframes, right. Meaning one could delete the rotation keyframes for let's say ten frames, so the rotation is smoothed out. Do you know a way around this?

    There's an fbx import bug in UE5 it seems to convert the framerate to 1920 on import and the fbx data is huge. Set the 'custom sample rate' to match your iClone exported fps. 30 for example. That resolved it in my case.

    WinBush, thanks for the video. Question, are you using iclone 8 and cc4 more in your workflow?

    • @JonathanWinbush
      @JonathanWinbush  2 года назад +1

      Yup, I've been using iClone 7 and CC3 in the past but really liking what I'm seeing in the newer updates so far.

    Great tut man! Might you know a good method of cleaning up sliding feet or noise from mocap with iClone 8. Particularly with the output data from the AI Mocap places like Plask.AI. The mocap usually has a lot of jitter and I'm trying to find a workaround that doesn't involve going into a major 3d app and doing the long cleanup process.

    • @JonathanWinbush
      @JonathanWinbush  2 года назад

      I've not used any of the AI mocap stuff yet. I'm guessing they don't have a clean up processor before it exports out?

    • @armondtanz
      @armondtanz 2 года назад

      Id checkout cascadeur. U delete those annoying individual keyframes and your left with blocking frames. You can create a layer for the foot. Copy the foot location from 1st location and paste to others. This stops foot slide. Then convert from liner to step and u get a natural flow.
      Finally. There is a physics option which makes the character move even more real.
      Software = free but limited 300 frame export. $200 to buy - unlimited export.
      Another option is ipisoft.
      X2 kinect v2s. You need a bit of space 16ft min. Setup cost £150, software £350 a year(i think after 2 years it becomes perpetual). Options to remove jitter.

    Hello Winbush! Thanks for this nice short tutorial. I used Rokoko Studio Beta for some recordings with a dancer. A glove wasn't recognized in Studio Legacy, so we briefly switched to beta. Everything worked fine there. Unfortunately, the export doesn't work that well. When I export with HumanIK all joints are completely twisted in iClone. If I include the reference pose when exporting to Rokoko, only the joints below the hips are twisted. I suspect it's a T-pose related issue. The support at Rokoko has not yet had a quick answer and is trying to find a solution. A while ago you described your Rokoko Studio Legacy/iClone 7 workflow in a tutorial. Could you tell me whether you have perhaps already managed to develop a working workflow with Rokoko Studio Beta and IClone 8? Thank you for your great help within the CG community! Best regards Daniel
