    1/3 sprite/7up
    A few splashes of ginger ale
    Fill to 3/4 full with orange juice

    Espresso+Orange juice+Ice is called Bumble where I am from. They serve it everywhere in summer. First you put ice in a glass, then pour juice over it, then a shot of espresso. Sometimes you put caramel syrop on the bottom of the glass if you like a sweeter drink. The drink looks like the stripes of a bumble bee, it's very pretty. The ratio of juice to espresso is 2/1. The drink is versatile and can be served hot in winter. The combination of sweet and fruity+bitter is not everyone's favorite, but the way you completely destroyed it made me sad. And on a side note: the price of a Bumble is the same as a no-syrop Ice Latte.

    • @bethswaim5131

      Is it supposed to be balsamic like for topping a caprese or balsamic vinegar?

    • @dawnchesbro4189
      @dawnchesbro4189 2 года назад +4

      @@bethswaim5131 the balsamic for caprese is balsamic vinegar. There's aged balsamic vinegar that sweetens as it ages. I have a 25 year aged balsamic vinegar that I love to drizzle over strawberries and vanilla ice cream YUM. But the grocery store staple balsamic vinegar is usually only aged a year at best. Find aged vinegars and you'll openba world of complex flavors!

    • @dawnchesbro4189
      @dawnchesbro4189 2 года назад +3

      I honestly would avoid flavored balsamic vinegar. They don't age well with off flavors after a year and they are usually made with artificial flavors. It's never as tasty as a high quality aged balsamic vinegar from Italy. As balsamic ages, it sweetens. If you do want to have vanilla balsamic, make your own! Take a good 8 or 10 year balsamic vinegar and add scraped vanilla pods. Let it sit in a cool corner of your pantry and shake it occasionally. Keeps forever. Low on balsamic, add more, no need to change the vanilla pods.

    So my husband was a barista at Starbucks for 6 years, and coffee and orange juice is something they used to do with new people because it’s one of those “It can’t possibly work” things. He told me the key to having it taste okay, or even good, is you need a coffee with a really high acidity. He says that the coffees that the orange juice will go best with are African in origin because they tend to have a higher acidity in their profile. Matching coffee to what you’re mixing it with is super important to having them taste good.

I am from Utah, and I am in fact LDS, Mormon, Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, however you’ve heard it called, we as members have been asked to not consume specific drinks that have known to be harmful to the body. Like teas that aren’t herbal, alcohol, wine, and things with certain amount of caffeine, which tend to be in coffee, and hot drinks. Soda has less caffeine, about half the amount, that coffee does. So that’s why there are so many soda shops around. For us and our culture, mixed sodas are the same as mixed coffee drinks. :) hope this helps :)

    We used fruit compote in regular seltzer water it blends much better than jam but will result in the same thing and is good.

    My favorite summer drinky drink was a watermelon marg made with tequila, ice, and pulsed up watermelon. It may have had simple syrup, but I believe it was just that easy. And soooo good. It was from Lazy Dog Restaurant in L.A. Yum.

    I'd never heard of the dirty soda thing, but it's just an Italian soda with flavored soda instead of club soda so I could see it being great in different concoctions

      In Utah, we have places that make all sorts of different mixes. You can go and get them with cookies or popcorn or whatever. People love the different concoctions. 🤷🏻‍♀️ We’re sad ppl. 😆

    Orange coffee was very popular in my country a few years ago. My friend basically forced me to try it and i fell in love, i do prefer it iced though. It works great with drip coffee and people who like sweet usually add some syrop

    If you turn your glass at a slight angle, have your soda close to the lip of the glass, pour your soda, it also doesn’t fizz up like that ❤️

    Half and half is good with coke or Dr Pepper! Where I’m from when I worked at sonic we would always do either or soda and use the half and half they use to help mix the ice cream better for the blasts!!! It’s also really good to add vanilla with the half and half stuff.

    But, if people don't like coconut, even just using sweet cream creamer is really good.

    With the jam drink I make it differently. I use strawberry or raspberry jam and I make sure there's no lumps because you will just drink the lumps, then use ginger ale and then a little bit of gin. Best summer drink!

    Utahn here! Yes the soda shops are EVERYWHERE. And there are a lot of different ones that have different menus. They have tons of drink choices for different sodas. My favorites are ones that use purées (like raspberry purée), and I usually go with coke or Dr Pepper as the base. For the flavored syrups they just use the ones by Torani, so if you wanted to try those you could probably just get them online. And really you can go with any flavor profile you want. They’re pretty good! One of my favorites has either Coke Zero or diet Dr Pepper, coconut, vanilla, cream, and raspberry purée.
