This makes you realize that the 400Z is gonna be pretty fast with full bolt ons and a tune. The 400Z will be around 700lb to 800lb lighter than the Q60 coupe with the same engine. Yea that thing will definitely surprise people
700-800lbs lighter? The 370z is around 3500lbs. The heaviest Q60RS is 4050lbs.
@@lawrenceredden9049 Yea I was talking about the new generation 400Z that will be coming out soon. The new 400Z should weigh 3252lb which is very light. You’re correct about the heaviest Q60 weighing around 4050lb. That should make the new Z around 800lb pounds lighter than the Q60. If the Q60 performs the way it does as a 4000 pound car, just images how a new 800 pound lighter new Z should perform with the same engine platform. These numbers are a rough estimate but a good way to gauge how fast the new Z can possibly perform.

7-800 where the hell are you pulling this number from? The 2020 370z weighs over 3450lbs vs 3750lbs rwd Q60. It's already announced by Nissan that the 400z uses the underpinning of the 370z which is over a decade old. So it's just an evolution. Add the turbos, more sound deadening, bigger brakes, modern infotainment, creature comforts, stronger suspension components, etc to that old chassis and it's going to weigh the same as a Q60. Nissan claimed it will be around 3250lbs for a base model "dry weight", which is suspect since it's the old 370z underpinning with way more stuff in it. 20 gallon of gas weighs 120lbs, add oil, trans fluid, brake fluid, coolant, washer fluid, etc. and who buys base model nowadays? and you have a pretty heavy 2 seater. The new G80 BMW M3 weighed in at 3760 with 1/8 tank of gas (G80 bimmerfest forum), that's with 4 doors and a useable back seat and trunk, dead quiet interior, modern tech, leather everywhere. The new Z is going to be a heavy car with no backseats and a small trunk. It's going to weigh as much as my 4 door e90 with xDrive.

@I Besides them being in America, and obviously accustomed to mph. It actually says MPH not kmh on the dash digitally displayed. 170 kmh is 105 mph and it's not that fast for what these guys were pushing.
@user-uk6up3rp5ymy stock 2021 supra does 163mph top speed. This m4 and infinity could hit 186 only limited by the tranny. Build the tranny they will both do over 200mph
Very good runs. Even though I own a Q60, I'm going to give props to the BMW M4 because he didn't have his car tuned. Makes a big difference. I was surprised to see the Q60 creeping up at the top end. Either way it's just for fun. Great video,

I had a red sport but not really much, difference, a options up q60rs is 65k. An f80 witj some options was 70-75k. This RS was fbo on e, this was a stock cs, which ya it’s 100k, but it’s not really any faster than a base model, 25 hp, which means a 500 stage 1 flash on a base is gapping this

He did it twice, not including the 3rd race he just straight gapped, he was in the right gear starting that race, the first race was close af, 2 and 4 he was pulling, they didn’t start at 155 ffs. Happened as expected, Q has more mods, M doesn’t even have a tune yet, that would change the outcome drastically IMO
That last pull was bad ass! I can’t tell who has the advantage where because it seems like both cars are about dead evenly matched when there’s an even start until the Infiniti pulls on upper mid range and the m4 smacks on top end only. Very interesting race here, but a good one!

What the Q60 needs is an upgraded heat exchanger, the Q60/Q50 get mad heat soak. 1 or 2 passes and the car starts feeling sluggish.

Great race. Had a 2018 Q60s redline and upgraded to a 2020 E 53 with a stage 2 and the only thing that can hang are sleepers and RS Audi's. Killin most American whips on the streets with the exception of hellcats and C8's

Honestly this impressive as hell though. Fbo and tuned with same displacement and twin turbos of course, and just edged out the bmw when not heat soaked. Although, that is the absolute top of the line for the bmw 4 series so I’d hope it would at least be close. Nonetheless very impressive

Considering they're both in the luxury bracket and the bmw only have mid pipe upgrade which I'm guessing is res delete and no tune and the infinity have lots of bolt on and a tune it's not that impressive. They are however nice looking cars and it's nice to see something different

Q60RS ~75k M4 CS ~120k with similar options. M4 is a sports car with a couple carbon fiber body parts, DCT, 3600 pounds, extremely good suspension and LSD. Q60 is a luxury sports coupe with a tuned up general production motor, shitbox transmission, no LSD, standard suspension and 3-500 more pounds, Quite a difference when you compare these cars, keep that in mind

Q60 was having issues, It never ran the same on any race. 4th race it pulled then it's like timing or fuel something cut and lost power. I'm not 100% sure but something wasn't right. I’m not sure but I was thinking it was the gear he started in, 3rd run he had it in lower gear, 2 and 4 one gear up, first race too maybe, I think he was sleeping on the first run too. I could be wrong but just what I thought.

He was racing on a flame map for one which isn’t good. That 3rd run looks like what it should’ve been everytime but yeah it’s definitely having issues.

Q60 did well considering its approx. 500-600 lbs heavier. Also BMW power are underrated by manufacture. Good runs 👍

Heat exchangers instead of intercoolers will do that. They heat soak at different rates. Probably explains the third race.

Suppose that's about right. M4 CS is around 440-450 whp dynojet depending on dyno and a stock turbo E50 VR30 engine can approach 500 whp if everything is just right, but probably closer to 460-470 on stock turbos - and if the Q is 2wd they are close in weight. Too much variability though - looked like the Q was up or down 20-30 hp from run to run especially on the hit. Might need to tweak the ethanol knock sensitivity adder in the tune. Allows you to dial back the knock sensor as you add ethanol because they can go crazy at high loads on E.
Damm nice put some perspective on how it was running now it makes sense on the 3rd run it took off like it was on Crack !!
Finally a knowledgeable tuner that can determine what the hell was going on in these runs.

M3cs for 50-60k used in what part of the world? With the current used market they are going for 75-85k used. M3cs was a limited production and are holding value better than M4cs which were not limited to 1 production year. Source: sold my m3cs months ago for 80k with 9k miles

I think what people dont know... Is that the Infinity engine is from racing tech from the Nissan R390 GT1 and JGTC. The engine really has a lot of potential and will come as a shock to a lot of people. Its the same engine that will be used in the 2022 Nissan Z. Think about the potential of the new Nissan Z with mods... Lighter than most, but with a powerful engine. Wangan Midnight anyone?

Man this was such a good one. i love all your vids but man this one was special. Made me real proud to see my car go toe to toe with a bolt-on infinity q60 with basically a SMP and no tune whatsoever. Not to mention that q is on the 🌽 , and the m was on pump gas. Both cars were great and props to the owners.
Just threw a e-40 stage 1 tune on mine last week and its night an day difference. the owner of the m4 should look into it for the next race in mexico

I loved the sound that the old Z's used to put out, especially a good twin turbo VG30DETT, but man the new VR engines in these just produce a tin can sound like an old Honda civic. The VQ out of an NA Z even sounds better than these. IMO anyway.
That's because this dude is running a trash exhaust with catless downpipes. If you get a proper exhaust setup they can sound pretty decent.
I gotta agree, tried a couple setups on my q60rs and wasn't ever satisfied. Main reason I had to get something else. Interested to see what they do on the 400
