Infiniti Q60 RED ALPHA Entry-Level Performance Upgrades | 430+ WHP Stage 3 VR30 Build

- Опубликовано: 6 апр 2023
- A local customer of ours brought in his Infiniti Q60S to get our Stage 3 package installed, which includes a heat exchanger, downpipes, and cold air intakes, and he also had an Ark Performance VR30 GRiP exhaust installed. One of our sales reps, Josh, walks through why these are great entry-level performance modifications for your Q50 or Q60, when bundled with a dyno tune.

430-440 rwhp is plenty for daily driving and stoplight to light spirited adventures.
And I've always said that 300WHP was more than enough in most vehicles.
I had my red sport RT tuned at 440whp and i def didnt need anything more. I drove it to and from work everyday and when i would hike or fish and i cant see any reason to have had it at like 600whp lol
@Shad reason to have more is just bragging rights or and youtube/social media boasting. To get traction with 430-500 whp need awd or rwd with M.T. drag radials. No street tires hold up to my race box LC. I speak from experience 3 yrs trying. Someday I'll get M.T. ET street R rears.
I’m awd and at 450whp/530wtq it will still spin on street tires. The torque comes on so immediate and at low RPM that anything more would only be good for roll racing anyway without running a drag radial all the time.
@@kennethpowers8995 Most of the world doesn't understand the power delivery of two tiny little turbos that can make full torque (500+) at something like 2,700-3,000 rpm. I'm RWD and it was actuality pretty disappointing to always spin and have to let off. TC and VDC on these cars is obtrusive and just killed the fun instantly. It took a lot of the fun out of this car for me and likely the reason why in the last few years I lost my enthusiasm for modding and pushing to go any faster. It's was like always driving around on ice which also just tears up tires. Fun for some but not my intent. AWD is better of course. If I did it all again, I'd buy a hot tune (Sonic/Racebox), HX , high-flow airboxes, CBE and 275 x17" M.T. E.T. Street R drag radials or 275 x15" E.T. Street R Pro rwd tire or buy AWD and get the high grade Michelin cup tires 255 front and 275 rear. The 3.0t motor is a neat little compact power house. So is the BMW turbo six but I'm just not into BMW's. At least in this life.
That wing has to go. It doesn’t go with the car at all.
Stillen sells a really nice wing for this car imo. This one is excessive, the stillen is more sleek for a wing.
I was going to say it needs to be bigger. I’m not about to put a duck bill or anything ugly like that on my q50.
It’s an extra 50 hp 🫡
@@escotavo5049 shiiii I looks like it.
Yeah looks like shit
Definitely coming by for a dyno tune for my q50 this year 😈😮💨
Hey Josh,
It’s B in Sydney.
Cool video and continue posting
I will get the Alpha Custom Calibration with Map switching soon.

A TOTALLY AWSOME BUILD. GREAT VIDEO AND THANKS FOR SHARING.
Good perspective my girlfriend’s q50s has AMS intakes and lower Downpipes on no tune. Definitely will be taking the 2 hour drive for heat exchanger and tune soon
Downpipes without a tun can be harmful, make sure to tune it quickly.
@@2seep read on the forums it’s fine with lowers but with uppers and lowers a tune is for sure needed
@@2seepjust lowers are fine. Frees up a little power and its only the secondary cat so on these motors not a big deal
Nice edit at 1:11.
Damn near ripped that wire out of the car when you yanked the front bumper off...
Clean setup!! Good power and really nice torque numbers!
Were these dyno numbers on E85 tune? Sorry if I missed it in the video if it did mention it and also what kind of dyno is it being tested on?
No e85 this is on 93, e88 would be 500-600whp with or without upgraded turbos.
Why the wing and after market q60 badge 😩 clean tho
Yeah man spoilers look way better.
Do you use ecutek to tune the infiniti’s? Is ecutek software locked for only approved tuners to use or can anyone access the fuel/ignition tables, parameters and options?
this my exact set up its great and fun
Clean daily build
THANK YOU SO MUCH.
Was that with a full downpipe or just lower?
So adding the heat exchanger and intakes wont void warranty ?
A good question, thank you for asking. Unfortunately we can't say definitively whether these modifications will void a warranty as we are not the ones offering the warranty.
With that being said, these modifications do not typically void a warranty. As a warranty is not all or nothing. If you have a suspension related failure, your warranty will not be void because you installed an intake.
On the flip side, if you have a failure related to these components, that failure may not be covered as a result of the modifications. All that being said, whether something is covered under warranty is up to the company offering the warranty and I would recommend consulting with them first, whether that be the dealership or a 3rd party.
Does that answer your question? Let us know if we can be of assistance in any way! Thanks again
Is there dyno records comparing the race heat exchanger vs the regular
its prolly not a more power thing but less heat soak or rather more pulls b4 heat soak
@sr20boostjunkie EEExactly, keep the power you have longer. As CAT compressed air temp rises past a point ecu starts pulling timing and decreases output to protect from cylinder knock.
During dyno tuning on roller dynos which is typically inside a garage, the cars are run back to back to back to refine the tune in a reasonable amount of time. The tuners use a fan/s but not the same airflow/cooling as driving. Running the car all out and then otherwise letting it sit to cool down before each new dyno pull or idle for extended time would take much more time where time is money. Installing the more efficient HX allows for quicker tuning sesson/s and slightly higher tuning output because engine knock is better controlled. Even at some point with a larger/better HX installed these cars still heat soak, reach their limit and need to rest or drive at a much reduced output.
Can anyone help me and tell me what front lip is on this Q?
Who is you dealerships that can install the AMS tuning package in the UK
I fw these videos.
What about Lotus project. 👍👍👍
I’m confused. Y’all are saying whp but the dyno sheet says at the engine…
Dyno graph shows maximum wheel horsepower at its respective engine RPM
What was the total cost for everything done in this video?

get this bong outfitted and tapestry wrapped
cool car. goodjob😊👏😎
What does this setup cost?
Would you guys every do g35 or 37 or 370z
Probably not, their already stuff out there for those, and it gets really expensive to hit 385whp on VQ engines.
Either the mic is clipping or that thing is missing… either way not necessarily a good video to showcase the work I don’t think.
I'd like to take mine. What's the location 😮💨
We are in West Chicago, Illinois
@@AMSPerformance Do you all have any other location? Close to TX?
@@alieroglu5386 We have authorized dealers all over the globe. You can find one closest to you at this link: www.amsperformance.com/dealers/
Awwww… a whole 430hp… ain’t it adorable 😂😂😂
first step get a q60
Car is still too quiet
Seems like a lot of trouble all to get gapped by a kid in a civic with a laptop..😂😉
Polish a turd its still a turd
You ever heard of buying because you like the car? Besides nobody cares about a garbage civic with a laptop driven by a man child
blows up.
If they push pass 550tq definitely.
@@navado75 mine blew up at 35k miles, I was making only 450whp. I had the stage 3 package from ams
Do you mind giving me some details ? I have a q50 tuned by ams. Were you drag racing or roll racing ?
@@ototo2010 I was no racing. I was daily driving and weekend ripping. I got tuned at 29k miles and blew up at 35k
