I wasn't expecting to prefer the sound of the straight pipes better, but I do. I bet either car would sound better with a set of Carven R or TR mufflers installed. The straight pipe was surprisingly deep compared to the Borla setup and the Borla setup made the other car sound raspier, instead of smoother which was a real surprise. My son did a Borla resonated X-pipe with a couple of Vibrant 1792s outback on his and it has a better sound than either of these cars....
@@NXT_LVL I could care less if it's a V6 or a v8. As long as it's built correctly and the sound fits then that's all that matters. I built both V8 and V6 cars but there's one thing each one had. They had the proper sound and performance. They can go and they sound good doing it.
RED SPORT SOUNDS EXACTLY THE SAME😭😭 bro the only difference between a 3.0t and a 3.0t rs is mainly the factory tune you can make a regular q60 3.0t faster than a red sport for under 3k
@@BADMAN-SJ Infiniti themselves said the engines are not the same in the sense that it's a variant of the same type of engine. @@boatonthedockthat’s true, but there 0 reason to get a redsport as the steer by wire is shit, weighs more, and all the aftermarket parts are far better than all the stock redsport brakes, larger heat exchanger, dual water pump, and turbine speed sensor. The aftermarket is so much better.
@@2seep speak for yourself. I added Z1 sway bars to my AWD and I've never driven a vehicle with better steering in my life and I've driven Porsche and Ashton Martin before. The Q60 sounded good with the Borla System. I just find it a bit odd for the Borla Resonators. That’s just me. I’d say remove the Borla Resonators only. Let it flow better. But the Borla X-Pipe sounds and looks dope.
As an owner of a q50 I noticed they must be driving that car pretty hard. With 3/4 tank of fuel only having an estimated range of 181 their mpg must be in the toilet. I think I like the borla a bit better than the straight pipe. I put a Stillen on mine and hate it. People say it sounds good. But, it drones like crazy. If were to do it again I would just mufler delete. I did lower downpipes before the exhaust and that sounded better anyway.
But the s type borla exhaust and struggled with the fitment horribly ended up bending too much of the driver Lower down pipe as it was going outward and not straight back. Wondering if this was an issue with the car or the exhaust

Both of them sounded good, but borla wins because of the deeper sound
Definitely the Borla system. It sounds clean and is only loud when you get on it.
For that second one to have a resonator/muffler delete it wasn't loud at all
Borla for the win!
Yep! Deeper and cleaner tone all through the rev range, no rasp. Still a V6 though
@@NXT_LVL yup subtle when it needs to be at low revs. Gets deeper with higher revs.

@@ragintaurusmusclemercury7023 amen bro
Definetly Borla, but if the Twin Turbo Infiniti didn’t have a Y-Pipe Dual it would of won with a true dual or X-Pipe
I’ll take the straight pipe and put the $1700 towards an upgraded heat exchanger and tune.
Man I wish someone would bring you a Red Sport, that ttVR sounds amazing when opened up

Borla S type for me 😌💪🏽
Still sounds like a sick cylinder.
6 cylinders sound the best but turboed 6 cylinders sound terrible
They both sound so fucking good ❤

Their resonator doesn't restrict flow but if your remove them it will ruin the sound and increase drone.
@@ragintaurusmusclemercury7023 perhaps for the infinity yes.
They aren't resonators. They are some type of polyphonic enhancers. They just contain different length pipe to shape the tone

Straight pipe for sure gotta do mine one day 😂
Both were great well sounded 🔥✅💯👍🔊
Sounds amazing damn
Straight pipe actually sounds better wow
Straight pipe sound better imo

They're both awful, but if I had to choose it would be the straight pipe.
Y’a but With Borla there’s barely any drone
How much did it cost
Appreciate you guys
Neither they both sound like trumpets
Borla sound way deeper and powerful.
Borla sounds better
Straight pipe sounds better.
Glad I stuck with my 3.7 and didn’t trade mine in for a turbo lol. 3.7s sound beats all these q60s by far.
In terms of sound yes, but the vr30 can easily make 500whp with 4-5 bolt ons where as the vq37 is capped at 340 with e85 and everything possibly done
@@thirtyfivekanseitrue 3.7 cannot do much power so sad 😢 3.0t can wake up alot of power with a simple bolt on and a tune 🙂👍
First like and comment
😆😆😆
That isnt a real straight pipe. It still has cats. Delete them, real straight pipe sounds better than Borla
