The worst kind of scammers are the ones that prey on people’s kindness, it makes it so much more difficult to trust the people that are actually suffering and need the help.
This. Scammers that take advantage of stupid people are nowhere near as evil as those that exploit kind people. They take what has been given to them out of kindness for granted and treat the people that blessed them like shit.
It's almost there should be an establishment responsible to help those in need and if both donating and the donatee should seek.

Bro, I’m in the middle of a lawsuit with my landlord after they refused payment unless I paid an extra $200 right now, just paid the court to start the process. Last Monday I had to make a rent payment to the courthouse and found out a scammer got my card over the weekend, bought $300 of IHOP and Chinese food and now I gotta scramble for a new roof over my head. All these scammers can burn in hell.

@@dirteesocc6864 Total shitshow, found a new place, but a week before we were set to move in the landlord kicked us out on our anniversary day. Been living in hotels that cost 3 times rent because I had to fix my credit score after the ID theft since the thieves also applied for a bunch of loans with my info.
Then after I finally fixed that I found out now my old landlord is telling any place I apply to that they want me to pay them thousands for the months after the filing, 2 out of 3 I paid them so I could appeal the eviction I just found out was filed AFTER I paid them the extra $200. So I still can’t get approved until I contest that in court. Life is fucked right now.
I hope it will get better for you bro, stay strong and life will get better over time and endurance.
The whole baby formula thing would have been very wholesome if it weren’t a scam, honestly they are people out there who actually struggle a lot and scammers just make people stray away from helping the ones in actual need even more.

As a person who works at a bestbuy geek squad, I had a old women come in around scam season and she got scammed outta $30,000 because she was paying 10k a month on a tech support service. The amount of defeat and realization her face made Just made me feel terrible and their was nothing I could do to help get a penny of that money back.

The baby formula thing costing 50 dollars makes me genuinely feel bad for the broke and struggling single mothers/fathers who can’t afford that stuff to help their baby/babies, honestly baby stuff should be free, change my mind
I agree, but I feel like there needs to be a system in place to prove you’re a broke single parent. Otherwise, you’ll have people like the old lady Degenerocity mentioned getting baby formula for free to trade for drugs.

I hate scammers with a passion but I gotta admit sometimes, the lengths these schemers go to to swindle money out of people make it look almost admirable. Plus there are times where you just have to blame the person who got scammed especially if it's a functioning adult falling for something 9/10 people will say is fake.

Here where i live in Spain, we went to an ice cream place and every 2 minutes, random and different scammers would pass through the street. One of them selling blankets (the money would get used to get higher than an F-16), another one asking for money for gas or something, and the most outrageous one was one that said that down the street were her kids starving, so she needed money to buy food. Luckily, my parents just have this hability to avoid scammers without much trouble. They just say "I have nothing on me, I'm sorry. God bless you" and the scammer just insists and then nothing else, they just walk away without money for crack.
i also used to do those surveys and i think it bugged my phone, i was constantly getting notifications about women in my area and my youtube forever has no ads without payment. ofc i got a new phone and never got caught from the notifications but apparently my youtube still has no ads. i truly have won

One day some kid scammed me over a pokemon card then a pokemon box vs my nitendo 3ds, finally i snitched and kept all of them, biggest karma i unleashed to a nigga to this day
Had something similar happen to me some weeks ago: I was grocery shopping and a guy came to me asking for a donation for a mute/deaf people association, and between absent mindedness and hope there's decent people around that need help I ended up forfeiting 20€. The next day I wake up and think "Was that a scam?", as you did I checked google and of course it was. Beat myself up over it for a couple of days but at least it served as a lesson and I hope I won't ever be this gullible, at least before I go senile
tbh although you did get scammed, i think the fact that you spared a moment to help them means that you must be a kind person, even when you think you aren't. not many people nowadays are willing to stop and donate even a cent to people in need, but you did. it was under the guise of a donation after all, so i wouldn't put the blame entirely on people who genuinely wanted to help, like you

Got scammed recently in toronto. There was a kid who got “kicked” out of a taxi and begged me to pay for his ride so he could get home. Turns out it was a fake taxi and both the kid and driver were in on it as they distracted me, took my credit card and its information of their fake POS, gave me a fake credit card back, and then drove away 🤦♂️

Like 9k likes. only 20 comments that were suspiciously all positive. And the “mr beast” channel only had 17k subs. Not to mention all the other red flags. Like that the video was only 17 seconds. The actual mr beast wasn’t in the video. They were really hard to try to get you to click on a link. Etc. So honestly anyone who falls for a scam like that definitely doesn’t deserve it. But at that point if they’re that gullible they shouldn’t be on the internet because you could probably convince them the sky is falling and in order to stop it they need to give you idk 1,000$ and they would believe it.

Yeah there’s no doubt she was scamming lol if you didn’t tell her to stop she was going load that cart full of formula until it was well over $1000. The sad reality is most of the time when you help homeless people, they’re gonna spend or use what you give them to get drugs. A lot of them don’t bother asking for money for food anymore because people just went and bought them food and it would always piss them off.
Unfortunately I’ve been scammed once too though. I was working as a cashier and when I went to give the guy his change back, the dude said I gave him the wrong change. So I checked and was pretty sure it was right, but the dude started getting progressively angrier and louder about having the wrong change so I checked it again and again until eventually he counted it one more time and left. Luckily for him I’m horrible with confrontation and my brain quits working when people get angry so it ended up stressing me out and I gave him like $20 more than intended. Every time I went to give him his change he would ask to exchange a $10 with 10 ones, then a $20 bill with a couple tens, and he repeated this (while still being an asshole about it) until I eventually fucked up and I guess he got me with a slight of hand. After he left I recounted the register, looked up the scam on RUclips and called mall security lol
At that point you tell them you don't make change. Gotta read peoples vibes.
I've read several homeless people who explained that they occasionally get poisoned with urine, broken glass etc in food they didn't buy themself so they'd often prefer not to take the risk.

Where I'm from, it's common for people to pretend to be homeless and beg on the streets. One guy from my hometown got caught driving his Mercedes after begging in the street all day. The car was parked round the corner from where he was hustling

The same thing happened to me in Target a few months ago. She gave me the card saying that she needed help, but I immediately told her I didn’t have cash. She says she didn’t need money, just someone to help her buy things for her child. Unlike you her cart was already packed with shit, and I told her no again.

I once got scammed into sending photos of yk what, and I was scared when the scammer was threatening to send to family and friends. I looked up what to do and it said to not give in so I prayed to God that would work. Fortunately, it did and I never had to worry about it again. Hope this helps for anyone
