There is no beach located at the resort or even across the street. There is a beach a ways down the road. That said, Key West isn't really noted for great beaches as most beaches are man made. I don't remember a cross walk, but if there was one it wouldn't have been any kind of signal. Just painted markings. I did walk across the street, just need to look both ways. That stretch of road isn't super busy.
It has been a while since we were there. We were there in November and if I recall correctly, there were small biting flies that we noticed around the pool. They probably came out more around dusk.
At a Marriott timeshare presentation on HHI I was told I could NOT reserve the Hyatt KW because I had to upgrade. Is this true? My resort points are 2050 every year.
You own a Marriott week? If so, we traded into Hyatt Windward Pointe using one of our Marriott deposits through Interval International. We have done the same at Hyatt Coconut Plantation in Bonita Springs. So I can assure you that you can book in. There will be no way to use your 2050 Club Points to book it, but these do show up in Interval International every so often and I think we have used a studio week to trade in both times.
