Your keybinds always so make much sense! I JUST commented on your last Keybinds video that I always come back to. This very much an amazing coincidence /surprise for me. :) Thanks again bro!
call me crazy but I still use delete, but it's purposeful. if you're jamming your hand or hands in to someone else's rig and bag your hand/s would be occupied too. I think this was slightly intentional on BSG, and also there's just not a lotta keys left not already used in Tarkov outside multi button presses.
If you enjoy using snipers or DMR’s change scope sighting range key binds, they are default page up/down I’d recommend “right-click” + “scroll+” to increase And “right-click” + “scroll-” to decrease Helped me significantly
My advice to new players is to get a mouse with at least 2 buttons on it (if they don't already have one) and use those buttons as the alt buttons. For exemple, i use "R" to reload, but then "mouse 3 + R" to check mag. I use "T" to turn on tactical device and "mouse 3 + T" to toggle. "E" and "Q" to lean, but "mouse 3 + E" and "mouse 3 + Q" to slow lean... and "mouse 3 + A" and "mouse 3 + D" to left and right step. I also use "mouse 3 + scroll" to zero my sight... "mouse 4" to toggle zoom or change the dot... "mouse 4 + mouse 3" to switch between scopes. In the end, instead of using alt or ctrl to do secondary actions, the mouse buttons are really useful for that.
And another helpful tip : if you set your inspect weapon to "L"... set your weapon fix also to "L" but on release... Next time you have a malfunction, hold L for the duration of the inspection, and once you release it, your character will automatically fix it
I actually like to mirror the lean keys, so that I lean Right with Q and Left with E It's a little faster when peeking since you can peek the same way you're moving without doing finger jiu-jitsu
This is a really good idea, I’ve always struggle to lean and peek with the default keybinds so I just solved it with leaning with a press instead of using continuous. Will definitely try this!
Nah it's not a good idea imo, you can easily press the lean button with the same finger you move with, and have your other finger ready on the other strafe key to instantly strafe in the other direction to get back into cover having this mirrored just fucks up reliable strafing imo.
ctrl + right click is a great discard for me. It's just the opposite of grabbing and it doesn't conflict with scopes because you're in a menu when using it.
The weapon malfunction tip is a life saver, I don't know how many times I've died to a weapon jamming and me freaking out mashing keys trying to fix it. Another great video as usual
I put "change magnification" and "switch sight" on the caps lock key, with press and double press, respectively. I don't know why people sleep on the caps lock key; it's free real estate in most games.
Yo bro! Fill up that info section with a load of affiliate links, don't sleep on passive income, I bet some people would use your link to buy those foot peddles
I think you've got the quick reload thing wrong. The reason why you want to have that in a separate button in addition what you said is that in the default configuration EVERY SINGLE normal reload takes 300ms longer because the button R press waits for your double tap. Reload on PRESS and Quick reload on PRESS need to be on separate buttons.
As someone who has mostly fiddled around sniping keybinds I've ended up with following ones, which seem to work for me for scopes: Switch between sights (LCtrl double click) Change scope magnification (LAlt Double Click) Hold Breath [LAlt Hold (default I think)] Scope elevation up and down (Mouse Scroll + & -) Free Look [M.Wheel Down (default?)] And VOIP in one of the extra Mouse buttons
I had Lshift and click as discard also! However in your stash, that quickly moves items to your sorting table if you have it open. So I decided to move it to space bar and click and now in the stash you can quickly move items to your sorting table
You got my sub from the "Tilda" / Tilde key alone. Holding one easy to reach key, then a quick second press is much better than my brain trying to remember the check / fix keys... Thanks for the upload
I jump with scroll up and scroll down, slow walk with space, run with shift, prone with control, i manually drop my backpack from my inventory, voip with z, change scope magnification with thumb button 1 and change scope with thumb button 2, i don't have buttons for right/left or up blind fire, 8k hours of cs really changed my play style XD
On Logitech mice you can bind your thumb button to be G-Shift mode. This lets you bind the left click, right click and scroll wheel button as 3 additional blinding. I find this to be insanely intuitive and it frees up prime real estate on my keyboard. An example is that in apex legends my inventory is bound to G-Shift + Left click. This means I hold down the mouse thumb button and left click to quickly enter and exit the inventory. No moving my ring finger over to tab to interfere with movement. I also highly recommended the Tartarus. Space efficient and more comfortable with highly customizable mapping and macro creation. It also includes its own modifier mode, but you have access to so many keys you should rarely need it.
Holy shit. I’m a new player who asked for help on Reddit about kbs for this game and was pointed here. This helped me a metric fuck ton. Thank you. Subbed.
Yeah man, it’s huge to be able to maintain movement controls unhindered. I also use a mouse button for grenades as well for the same reason (was much more beneficial in prior patches before the animation was added)
Just a heads up if you do put check chandler and clear chamber on the same key bind on press and release, you can check the chamber without clearing it if you release the button before the animation for checking if completed
Love the inspect and clear malfunction binde mate I'm defiantly changing my binde to that. I've been using space and left click for discarded since I started playing it's a massive time saver for sure.
Can honestly say I expected you to say "mouse" here 2:10 Bonus points for being clever. I just put lean on my mouse or left thumb. This man uses his feet. What a god.
Most games I played prior, apex, cod etc didn't have a lean mechanic, and E was always my action key. I swapped my leans to my mouse buttons, e instead of f for action, q for my fire mode, and it's now familiar for me. I also have a logitech g604 and there are 6 mouse buttons, 3 clicks for the mouse wheel if you want to get crazy. I highly recommend it. My push to talk is on my mouse as well and it's flawless.
A key bind that I use that helps with light and heavy bleeds is I put a hemostat in slot 4 and I put a salewa/ifak/afak in slot 0. I have my 4 key set to slot 4 on press and I have the same key set to slot 0 on release. So, I no longer have to pay attention to what bleed I have, just press one key. Plus, if I have a heavy bleed it will us the hemostat over blowing through a bunch of my salewa.
Foot petals are alright but bro the swift point Z gaming mouse .... A1 sauce for your NY Strip so to speak XD my mouse tilts slightly left and right that's the lean and 6 pressure sensitive buttons allows me to aim with RMB and then when ever I reach pressure of 65% the breathe gets held and after a release to
Doesn't double click timeout mean you have a 300ms range to press that button twice for it to register as a double click? Not press the button, wait 300ms, and then press it again. That doesn't make sense to me if that is the case.
I have a problem where I really want to use the smooth leans but I have them unbound at the moment because I can't think of a keybind.. Alt+q/e just doesn't make any sense to me and i can't get used to it.. Besides alt is my free look.. Which is probably stupid but i find pressing mouse wheel very annoying, and my mouse side buttons are already being used for switch optics and toggling lasers
I tried double click timeout being all the way down and didnt like it because its really easy to fail a double click if you arent fast enough. I find adding a slight delay of .5 is comfortable and doesnt take too long
pros of using a keyboards tilted/rotated is that you really only need to let go off your space bar to press k with your thumb :D and still do everything else normally and also binding keys to your mouse should be something that wont be pressed while firing at a enemy so you dont put additianal pressure on the side of your mouse that COULD or could not affect your aim
Great advice on the foot pedals. I've used that same model for a few months now. Unfortunately, I'm on my second set of pedals because my first set arrived with only one pedal working.
I have a mouse that has four thumb buttons. I use one for a flashlight one for sprint one for prone and the other to hold my breath. I use shift to crouch and shift+f to drop items. I have my ads where I have to hold it down to use it. My friends don’t know how I play the game but I do pretty well for myself lol. I also use the 2 dpi buttons for zeroing my scope. If anyone is curious I use a glorious model i mouse
Dude, I got foot pedals but whenever I want to set them up in my controls menu the game spazzes out and scrolls down indefinetely, so I have to restart the game. ANyway I just get those you showed in this video. Pretty expensive for a heap of plastic with a USB cable.
I set my standard reload to LCRTL + R and my emergency reload to R. I saw this in some other video and I like having my emergency reload as a standard so in a fight with a player I don't have to think about it, but if I am just taking on a scav or two my reloads aren't as critical
I'm looking at getting foot pedals, and I had a question? Both pedals in the photo you showed are super close together, I was thinking of getting two separate single pedals and spreading them out. Or do you use 1 foot for both pedals, like gas/brake in a car?
