Good settings guide as always, Thanks mate! Speaking of PostFX, clarity and adaptive sharpnen is the settings to avoid both kills like 10fps just by touching the slider by +5. Might be different depending on ur PC but these 2 are the heavy ones so Keep that In mind when you guys playing around with ur PostFX.
It's good to note if you have an AMD GPU you can take advantage of Radeon Image Sharpening, which is basically the same as adaptive sharpening but costs little to nothing in frames, makes Tarkov look great too.
Always love your graphics guides not gonna lie! How do you even find out things like the High textures forcing SSR? That stuff I never know how anyone figures it out. Thanks as always :)

I could be wrong but I believe that the low latency mode option in the nvidia control panel 3d settings corresponds to the reflex low latency setting in game. For example in control panel, the options are "on" and "ultra", which is very similar to "On" and On + boost". When the setting became available in EFT, i had it only switched to "On" in game and noticed no increase in FPS or latency. I then set low latency to "on" in 3d settings ( "on" in game as well) and my frames increased drastically and I could notice a faster input.

I watched comparison videos and some people actually loose fps by enabling Mip Streaming (do a comparison on your rig before taking that as the god sent option) ! TAA High get the game so blurry that if you don't have a resolution as high as VoX_E, you should probably go for the lower "TAA" If you have a beafy GPU and a low res screen, supper sampling could be a good way to get less aliasing without the blurriness of some other anti-aliasing (the one from your GPU pannel could be more optimized, just try and compare). Lowering visibility can make you see people more easily and can even act as a wallhack at some distances (grass blades stop being rendered at a certain point, architecture too). From what I learned out of Battle(non)sense videos is that V-Sync with G-Sync is (if you can maintain an fps amount close to your monitor refresh rate) the best. Also locking your fps at a value you can maintain most of the time is very good for muscle memory and overall smoothness appreciation.
Mip streaming really works different on every system. My friend have this setting on and call this an "fps boost", but on my PC it drops my framerate about 7-10 fps avarage.
Definitely varies from system to system. The main reason to use MIP streaming if to free up some VRAM on your card. It helps immensely with people with 4gb on larger more intensive maps. However I’ve noticed it has given me more consistency in frame pacing. The major downside is the textures sometimes don’t stream in to higher res when you’re closer like they’re supposed to
Also RE: Nvidia Boost. If you set a temperature target in the Nvidia performance overlay, your temperatures will automatically stay at that number. Fan speed will be adjusted to make that targeted temp. So an increase in power wouldn't necessarily mean your GPU would get hotter if you have your targeted temp set. Meaning you shouldn't see a drop in clock speed. The fans would get louder but who cares if you have your headset on.
Like I said it’s personal choice if you believe it’s worth it or not, setting a manual curve and overlock in MSI afterburner is a much better alternative

Just a few points on this video, if you have a modern GPU with 6+GB of VRAM then mip streaming is not for you, so long as you run the game at 1080p or 1440p you're not going to notice any real difference in your FPS. All this setting does, like explained in the video, is stream lower resolution textures in before you reach a model to help with stuttering, if your GPU has less than 6GB of VRAM, definitely turn it on to avoid stuttering. Ofcourse if you run the game in 4K then you're gonna need be mindful of the VRAM you use. I tested your theory about SSR and its wrong on my system 1) Going from high to medium textures gives 0-3 fps. You can check if SSR is forced on high textures by actually enabling it, I lost 15fps on "high + ssr low" compared to "high + off" 2) Mip streaming give 0 fps on my 1660ti, there are no benefit of using it unless you are VRAM bottlnecked
I have a 3080ti and 3700x, my FPS is garbage, its jumping from 45 - 90 on 1440p with postfx off after changing my settings to yours. no idea what is going on or why im seeing such awful performance
Heyyy just wanted to say thank you for putting the time into this video, ever since I've started playing games on PC I have no idea what all these graphics settings are , especially in games like Gta5 there's like 3 pages of them. I love how you actually explain every one of them . It really helped a lot
I have RTX3080 and i7 and in my experience I tend to have a better performance with higher graphics settings vs lower. For example I keep textures, shadows and hbao on high.
I mean these settings are a guideline really. I use high ultra with HBAO but that’s mainly for looks. HBAO and shadows definitely hit your frames regardless of hardware though.
@@VoXEonYT great video, man. Your guides are always appreciated ) by the way, I tried mip streaming and it seems a lot of textures don’t render properly in close range. Do you have the same issue?
Mostly yes the only change would be “Low Latency Mode” set to “on” if you want Nvidia reflex to always be on in Tarkov. Which is like a 30% reduction in render latency (lag)
@@VoXEonYT low latency mode (in control panel) will only improve latency if you are GPU bottlenecked (which almost no one is in tarkov unless you have a really old CPU). Otherwise, the setting in tarkov for it will override it anyway, changing it in control panel wont do anything.
Hey VoX_E, Do you have an updated video touching on the new added graphic settings such as the NVIDIA DLSS? Not sure if that's the only settings added into the ingame graphic options or not though.
This is my chief gripe with them too. It's a good game in gunplay but being forced to do the same crappy tasks all over again just makes it all lead back to frustration over & over. It gets old very quickly. Gear comes & goes but I just want to keep my level & my bitcoin farm so I can play it when I want, not when BSG says I should :(
Thanks man, lighthouse was un playable for me but i had good fps on every other map so it was super frustrating but now im rocking 80-100 so i can get in on the good loot
Hey man, question about "Only use physical cores" Not that long ago it was recommended to turn it off is using AMD CPU and on if using Intel CPU. Did it change recently? (Even Pestily said that in his video last wipe) I have Ryzen 5 2600 so I don't know if I should turn it on or off.
I believe that it helps a lot with frame pacing and hitching. You may get slightly more frames but it’s generally more stable with physical core enabled
Started this game today. Spawned in at shoreline, went to loot some cars. The sound of bullets hitting the metal immediately got my heart pumping. I ran for cover, waited it out. Ok all clear. I keep walking a bit more and proceed to delete myself on a landmine. 10/10 🥲
Obviously results vary from rig to rig so play around with different textures/shadows/hbao. MiP streaming makes some systems run much better & other slightly worse. It can make some textures look blury when they shouldnt be so test it for YOUR system.

1) Going from high to medium textures gives 0-3 fps. You can check if SSR is forced on high textures by actually enabling it, I lost 15fps on "high + ssr low" compared to "high + off"
2) Mip streaming give 0 fps on my 1660ti, there are no benefit of using it unless you are VRAM bottlnecked
Yeah that sounded iffy. I wouldnt see the point in adding the option to turn SSR off if it was forced on by another setting.
I have a 3080ti and 3700x, my FPS is garbage, its jumping from 45 - 90 on 1440p with postfx off after changing my settings to yours. no idea what is going on or why im seeing such awful performance
I’ve been waiting for this one, your vids on this topic work best for my set up. Slonger donger!
for a GTX 1660 super with 16 gb ram is MIP better or NOTTTT!!!???
Heyyy just wanted to say thank you for putting the time into this video, ever since I've started playing games on PC I have no idea what all these graphics settings are , especially in games like Gta5 there's like 3 pages of them.
I love how you actually explain every one of them . It really helped a lot
Lol legit as someone new to PC gaming it can get really confusing
Hey Vox do you have any info on random full black screen flickering?
thanks so much!! really helpful.
I have RTX3080 and i7 and in my experience I tend to have a better performance with higher graphics settings vs lower. For example I keep textures, shadows and hbao on high.
Man you have a 3080 and prob a high gen i7. Just go all-in😂
Yup, this puts the majority of the work onto the gpu as opposed to the cpu with lower res and settings.
@@denismaksimov3775 первый ползунок ставь на 3, проблем не будет, но кадры просядут
Binaural audio isn't just "crisper" it allows for front/ back audiolocation
Nothing is wrong with Binaural Audio right now, turn it on, it will make the game a better experience, its worth the extremely small fps hit
how does anisotropic filtering increase performance? that makes zero sense
You didn’t mention if we have to change anything on Nvidia Control Panel. Do we?
I wish I could get 144 frames but I haven’t gotten it even with a perfectly capable Rtx 3070 it’s so annoying.
i have like 50-80 fps on customs with 5900x 16gb ram and gtx 2080, shouldnt it be more idk why
Great video, On your twitch stream do you use the post fx settings you show here or is it disabled and you use your monitor settings?
Hey Vox, thanks for the video, assuming we are keeping nvidia control panel settings as per previous video? Thanks!
yea i guess so too!
Miss this guy, hope you and Bella are doing fine!
Wait you guys can get past the launcher queue and into the game ?
Game looks much clearer and better fps. Although I noticed random objects like doors and the gas silos on factory are very blurry? Do you know why?
still havent fired up Tarkov since the wipe.... does BS Games have an ETA when the wipes will stop?
This is my chief gripe with them too. It's a good game in gunplay but being forced to do the same crappy tasks all over again just makes it all lead back to frustration over & over. It gets old very quickly. Gear comes & goes but I just want to keep my level & my bitcoin farm so I can play it when I want, not when BSG says I should :(
Thanks man, lighthouse was un playable for me but i had good fps on every other map so it was super frustrating but now im rocking 80-100 so i can get in on the good loot
gpu ?
Awesome video,thanks.
Time to make a few changes in my settings
Great video and explanations of the settings. My game is running much smoother now!
HAVE THEY FIXED BINUARAL AUDIO
Great video mate, really helpful thanks.
your a god send bro im on 8gb ram 1660Ti and this helped alot man
This was so much help. My settings before were f*cked
Hey man, question about "Only use physical cores"
Not that long ago it was recommended to turn it off is using AMD CPU and on if using Intel CPU. Did it change recently? (Even Pestily said that in his video last wipe)
I have Ryzen 5 2600 so I don't know if I should turn it on or off.
I have read similar.
I believe that it helps a lot with frame pacing and hitching. You may get slightly more frames but it’s generally more stable with physical core enabled
@@VoXEonYT Alright, I'll try to see if it helps. Thx for answer.
Started this game today. Spawned in at shoreline, went to loot some cars. The sound of bullets hitting the metal immediately got my heart pumping. I ran for cover, waited it out. Ok all clear. I keep walking a bit more and proceed to delete myself on a landmine. 10/10 🥲
massive thank you for this vid man
I love this settings thanks dude
thanks for the video dude!
Finally a video for 12.12
Thanks man I was struggeling with 40 frames and now im rocking 70!
have low latency en nvidia control panel on or ultra ?? or off
Great video! Very informative - thank you.
Isn't vsnyc on in game and off in Nvidia setting not a thing anymore to uncap FPS?
great guide and thank you for actually explaining what each setting does!
Super helpful thank you!
I don't have a bad pc id say maybe mid to high tier but i still always get like 50 to 45 fps I'm not sure why but its pretty annoying
Thanks for the usual great quality guide, seen you do many of these before but watch em all anyway 😀
