About Escape from Tarkov
Escape from Tarkov is a hardcore and realistic online first-person action RPG with MMO features developed by Russian Saint-Petersburg-based game developer, Battlestate Games. Set in the fictional Norvinsk region located on the frontier between Russia and Europe, the metropolis of Tarkov was plunged into anarchy thanks to the Contract Wars. What was once a bustling city, is now roamed by rivalling scavenger gangs, former private military forces, and black ops units. Between them all, there's you, your stash, and the escape back to the free world from the depths of Tarkov.

If you cant see Image sharpening in NVIDIA, change your NVIDIA driver to 496.xx
You have to set integer scaling in Desktop size and position.
@@edisom give this man a top comment
@@edisom and if changing your scaling is greyed out make sure in 3d settings that scaling is off
You can also change registry value of key "EnableGR535" to "0" in path "Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services
vlddmkm\FTS" in your Registry Editor.
Ofc don't forget beforehand to do a backup of your registry, and after making this change to restart your PC.
If you have the newest driver (516.94) in GeForce Experience you can go to settings and turn off Image Scaling, then go into NVidia control panel and the setting to have it set to Integer Scaling shows up! Hope this helps!
Great, now I can play lighthouse at 25 FPS instead of 10
I get 60-70 on medium-low with Everything off and reflex boost on. On my 1060gb.
@@TheMrPandabeast I get about the same with my rx 580
@@TheMrPandabeast even on reserve?
@@TheMrPandabeast i get 45-50 everything on low with a 1650 super
And down to 10 again if you dare to look through a scope.
NASA employee here. Tried lighthouse on my work pc low setting and the international space station crashed into the moon
Your other best settings video is the first video I watched from you, cool to see you're making another one bro!
Thanks for the help Trey! I can finally scope in without my computer passing away! :D
Helped me significantly, just tested and scavd into lighthouse and had notable improvements
Oh hell yeah, this is gonna blow up my dude 💙
Quick sidebar on the DLSS (this under the assumption that BattleState used DLSS 2.0**): Only 20-series NVIDIA cards and newer have access to DLSS 2.0. The lowest end card at that point that could use 2.0 would be a 2060. If you have an older card like the 1650 or 1660(TI), then you are better off using FSR as that software is not dependent on the generation/manufacturer of the card.
I could be incorrect on this statement but that is something I wanted to clarify. If I am incorrect, please let me know and I will adjust accordingly
can confirm. using a 2060 12gb with a ryzen 7 5800x and dlss gives me atleast a 30 - 40 fps boost on 1080p. cant say anything for 1440p as i cant afford it yet
I am also sad that BSG still uses an older version of DLSS 2.x;
Newer versions have fixed the ghosting issues.
what selection should i use on FSR, i have a 1660 super and i usually run around like 60 frames on shoreline as an example?
@@ivisixnzz5752 I’m not sure if FSR has a selection of versions (at least to my knowledge, but granted that knowledge is lackluster at best as I have personally have never had an AMD GPU before). I would recommend watching reviews on the FSR software and see if that nets you anything. I would recommend Hardware Unboxed or GamersNexus for a deep dive on that if they have videos covering that topic.
@@ivisixnzz5752 I would stay away from the FSR 1.0 implementation in the game. Slightly more fps for bad overall picture quality.
Maybe use it for nighttime maps to get rid of some of the distortion, though ;)
Bro, thank you so much, I've had this stupid ass issue where my game lagged and frames dropped literally every second, needless to say this video from beginning to end fixed every issue I had!! I went from having a meh experience to having smooth, fast, clean gameplay. Thanks a bunch for the video, there are many that claim "this will help" but I tried all and failed, this one saved the day, thanks man! ♥
dude this helped so much thanks
I just spent a couple hours messing around with this last night with help from an older video, looks like it’s time to do it again 😂
thank you so much my game looked so grainy and this helped alot super helpful this was the best graphics video for tarkov
Goated video as always
finally i find a good video for settings outstanding thanks so much you just gotta new subscriber friend
crazy i was just tryna figure out settings yesterday so i could stop getting shit frames while streaming, thank you brothersir
Tarkov doesn't use hyperthreading (big sad), and if you're using Anisotropic filtering you will probably want to turn off sample optimization and set LOD to Clamp; otherwise you can get shimmering on objects, and overall blurred texture Aliasing with movement. These two make things much more clear, in my experience anyway. in addition you also might want to run your card on optimal power if you aren't a toasty space heater enjoyer lul protips
Thank you big man!
It's honestly a shame you didn't load into a lighthouse and have a look around just so we could get a feel for your settings. Could have been a cool addition to this video.
thank you bro thank you
Thank you trey getting a new gpu and cpu and wanted better quality settings bc ive been using old pestily settings from like 3 wipes ago
yo big thanks !!! this got me to around 150 fps from 70-80 4 real... I guess i had just really bad settings, but the most important i guess was the FOV, at least on this end I have to get used to it again, but holy a different game...
Thanks u changed my life
I actually hit up Foves because of you. My rig was old so they could only do so much. Told them you sent me. 🤘🏽
How did you get in touch with Foves?
@@TrEuDaT its the website in the description!
@@TrEuDaT I looked them up on Facebook and then joined the discord bro.
By far after following guides like this every wipe over and over again, finally I got up the balls to start playing with over clocking, and to be honest that is the one and only thing so far that has made an impact on fps in a real way, besides just maybe gaining a few frames in a raid, going from normal of around 60fps reserve to 90-110 avg, and the only thing that did it was to get in and over clock my cpu. (do this at your own risk) But in all honesty it was the one big thing that made a difference for me.
Specs i9 9900k 32gigs ram 2080ti
if you dont want to do it, then if you want real frames in tarkov, pay to play and have someone tune your pc like he said in the video.
it does absolutely nothing for me
Dude Ty very much u really help me improving My fps even on streets of tarkov on My laptop with a gtx960m ty very much
I got the same monitor as you, what are your settings? black equalizer, do you use adaptive sync, gamma and such, would help a lot.
Thank u trey
@Trey Do you run Binaural Sound with Surround Sound in your headphones turned off or do you run both on?
Thank you
Trey unity engine is not very friendly with hyperthreating, game runs much better being in single core ( only physical cores running ) than all the cores, but there is a trick to do that people should use a program called process lasso to change the affinity to only physical core and boom 15+ bonus frames , plus smoother gameplay.
Hey Trey, I have the same monitor and was wondering if you could share your monitor settings (sharpness, brightness, contrast, etc.) Thanks in advance!
Forgot to check 8bit to 10bit color options if you scroll down under resolution
Hi dude! Any guide like that with sounds? For example i have a logitech system, it would be great if you can do a guide like this
I was just on your discord today and thought to myself I wish he would update this section.
I don't have any issues with FPS or performance in general. But what I ended up after watching this video is super crisp looking Tarkov. I absolutely love how sharp my game looks now, especially scopes which were somewhat blurry from time to time. Thank You!
actually goated ngl, always will be part of the red armband gang
fk red armband gang lol
treyyyy you’re the only person i’ve ever seen talk about the nvidia control panel! i got a high end pc and nvidia control panel has been locking my game into 4k 30 hertz for like 3 years!!! i might be stupid but thank you so much. i was only getting 35% usage on my graphics card, now i’m at 95! cheers man!!!
So some of those settings just are not there for me, did i do something wrong?
ty
Thank you so much man! My game looked absolutely garbage and had bad performance. Now my game looks 10x better AND have better performance.
Hi I use amd 2600 and a 3060ti 8g 1080p will this settings help the performance?
Thanks Gamer Brother
hell yea brother
Wondering how this will go for me on a 3060ti, 5900x, 32 gb of 3600mhz RAM at 1440p. Not exactly “high end” I guess but will try tomorrow.
so when using the nvidia color settings it doesnt affect my stream colors, is there a way to make it affect them?
the nvidia sharpness is a game changer, i constatly play around with the taa / taa high and sharpness and was never happy, this makes the game look perfect
Yo Trey! Have you made any changes since patch 12.13?
Hey Trey i cant find image sharpening in the control panel any advice?
Discard is LALT + DEL... How come? Where do you have the DEL key?
i have a 240hz monitor, if i put the resolution on 1920x1080 (native) it only gives me max 60hz, would putting it on 1920x1080 that doesnt have the native make a difference?
So when using nvidia reflex you need to have vat cut enabled?
Hi Trey. We have the same monitor (Samsung Odissey G7). Sometimes I have a hard time seeing in dark places, I can't find the right value for the Black Equalizer setting. Do you mind telling me what value you have it set to? Greetings.
I just use FPS mode brotherman
Any tips for the Radeon bois in chat? I can never find optimization guides.
these are the exact settings i run too except 62 for FOV. i go back and forth with dlss tho....i get 160 with it and 100 without... but it does blur game slightly.
Trey made me realize I had my new pc limited to 60 frames in the control panel for the past 7 months, kicking myself so hard lmao
Well if you got it seven months ago chances are it’s not new anymore and some parts are obsolete lol
deserved
@@Eloc-zu9mu what you talking about you donger? 😂
I uplugged my gpu, now I’m getting 240 frames on all maps with settings maxed. You guys should try it
What are the programs you have installed that help? You never touch on that.
Usually when people say “eh i have weird key binds” it’s usually like “I press h to crouch” or something
These key binds are on a whole other level of weird, haha
Why cant i see the 'image sharpening' tab
Trey what are your monitor settings???
I have a 3070 i cant change image sharping on a per app basis ? there is no drop down only in global.
100% the best guide out there. Extremely simple and can confirm that Postfx makes the game feel "choppy". Can't believe I played with postfx on for so long.
Can you confirm DLSS works on GTX cards like he said as well? 🤣🤣
‘100% the best guide out there’
Good lord
@@mrgraft4279 Who said anything about shitty GTX cards? Get a better GPU and stop crying.
What mic you using in this?
I have a G-SYNC monitor but don't have the "Monitor Technology" option. Anyone know why? ACER Predator is the monitor.
Go into your monitor's settings and enable G-Sync, then go back and enable it in your settings. It wont show up if its not enabled on your monitor.
Wow this completely changed my game. I can actually see shit now and get 70-90 fps
changed to these settings and decided to turn on post FX and for sum reason i got like 10 more frames when I did???
Any reason anyone knows why I don't have that sharpening setting in control panel? I have a 3070 rtx ti? Ty
what kind of cpu do u have?
Why do I have way less options in my Nvidia control panel? Cant see stuff like dlss
The only drivers I see available on NVIDIA are 516.94 idk where to get the one he’s referencing. Any help!
you can't use DLSS if your gpu is 1660, it requires RTX gpu, not gtx.
my tab on 3D settings dont find tarkov as a program?
i will install Tarkov and try these. Nice video
why are you watching a tarkov graphic settings vid if you don’t have the game💀
@@squidwarddeep5064 why do you care what i watch
@@aimov4410 i don’t care im just asking a question
what if we've got an amd card?
hey trey whats your dpi
After last update few days ago, Tarkov improved GPU usage and now it works really good! For me, tho..
Your gpu was the price of my pc. I now feel like I took a peasant route 😂
Mip streaming is def worth using if you don’t have a juicy rig. Gives me 10 extra frames.
you r cpu? plz
@@kleetztdm3232 I have i7-8700 bro
i could be incorrect, but I was under the impression that Tarkov couldn't use multicore settings. I.E. it only ever runs on 1 core because of the way it was built, making the clockspeed of the CPU core the bottleneck rather than number of cores.
Thank god I can run potato tarkov, love you trey!
0.1 mouse sensitivity. What dpi do you use??
Trey do you know anyone that has good amd settings? I unfortunately use amd bc it’s better for the artwork etc I do
Dont you need V-sync on to use Nvidia Reflex ???
Why are some of the control panel settings grey for me
How are ya gonna post this without a comparison in game
I downgraded to 496.98 and don't have Image Sharping, it says Image Scaling still, any ideas? What actual 496 driver are you using @trey24k ?
You have to set "integer scaling" in the "Adjust desktop size and position" settings page
it wont let me go 144hz in native but on pc res it will?
As someone who had 55 FPS on woods most of the time, 55 FPS has never felt so smooth
Hey, is it possible for you to do this for AMD users?
how do i find that nvidia driver to install it ?
Did you play with 60 FOV?
Even though my monitor is 1080p i created a custom 1440p resolution and my fps increased like 10-15%
Wish somebody would tell me optimal settings for an AMD graphics card 😏
Switch the gpu setting from "AMD" to "Nvidia", usually does the trick.
u cant use dlss with a 1660?
has else anyone noticed that you can see through tree branches better with hbao and shadows turned up higher? i think they compliment each others effects and make the moving image clearer with less blocky shadows? Def hurts framerate, but man i swear i can see through trees better that way.
yeah having it on high is much clearer. i went on lighthouse to test how it affects performance, standing in the exact same place and i don't gain or lose anything whatever it's set to.
Small note for those using the master race 1080 ti's still. If you are you want have image sharpening. So use Resampling in game on 2x or 4x. Makes ur game look crispy like ur on pain killers 24/7
or just turn on sharpening
@@alexccon doesn’t do the same at the same level.
So if i mess with the colors in nvidia control panel, tarkov looks beatiful and i dont have to sacrifice 10 frames on post fx.. but is there a way to change colors only for tarkov? i dont wanna mess with the slider every time i wanna do something different
no sir sadge
Yo man, I have the same monitor as you but I dont seem to have a G-Sync option in my settings. How would I enable G-Sync and do you have to update your monitor?
you do use displayport instead of hdmi?
@@TheBlueberrychips Yeah I do
whats your dpi
I really didn’t understand you
Do you recommend g7 or not?
yes its awesome
