Hope you recover quickly. I always here people say decent rig. What does this mean. Like a 1080 and a 2nd gen ryzen/ 7700k falls under this?
I have the exact same monitor
If your experiencing tearing its not because of low latency mode. It's because of Gsync and if this is because of the settings in this video that is because you are using gsync within your monitors refresh rate WITHOUT Vsync active, Vsync needs to be active along with gsync on gsync monitors.
@@dididigit5877 Vsync ON in nvidia control panel and ingame? or just ingame? But its impossible to turn Vsync ON ingame when Low Latency Mod is enabled...
@@GallusAnonymus94 vsync in NVCP is fine or in game whichever suits. It's not advised to have vsync on in both NVCP and in game although it does not have a negative effect if you do. Usually vsync on in NVCP in programme settings on a per game basis or just set it on in the global settings to be applied to all games you play
Good to hear you're getting better dude. I've gained 10-40fps following both your recent fps guides, thanks so much! 👍
Love the technical assistance you provide for people to be able to run Tarkov well.
Hope the recovery is speedy.
Thanks gamer 👍🏻
Hey Vox, thank you very much for the update on the settings! Also, glad to hear you are back home and on the mend! Take care of yourself, buds.
Thanks man, getting there slowly 🤟
Yo Vox, you are my go to for stream and game performance. I appreciate all the effort you put in for the community. Have a good one man.
Dude this video just made my game so much better ! tarkov is running so smooth now I am playing it like I just got the game for the first time, thank you very much to show me the options i had no idea you could do.
Thank you so much for this. It really has improved the stability of my frames.
Hey bro, from one heart patient to another, glad to see you are healthy! New to your content, starting my first wipe and my buddy sent me some of your video links. Just started my first wipe after chickening out the last 3 since i bought it . mostly confidence in mouse and keyboard rather than dying, as im a souls player lolz. keep up the great content.
This was badly needed advice, there is so much settings mistakes from update to update,
it's great to have a baseline to fall back on.
Love this video, make sure your keeping it up! always like your content man
first settings video im trying that really helps . Thanx for the content
Hey Vox, thanks for the settings! You're a legend mate!
Awesome info as usual. Love the stream
Dude, thanks for making and remaking videos for each change. I feel like this shit is so tedious and repetitive for you but its highly appreciated on this end. Fell better, 6 head.
Thanks big fella ❤️
thank you for describing everything, really helped me out - went up 35-40 frames thanks to you. That and I also deep cleaned my pc and caches, uninstalled bloatware ect.
Thanks for these man, very much appreciated.
Do not use MFAA. It was made specifically as an addon to MSAA, which in turn was made for pre-DX11 games (Tarkov is DX11). MSAA is not in Tarkov, so MFAA will either do absolutely nothing, or cause issues with the DX11 command list, reducing performance.
yeah, he doesnt know what hes talking about (as most tarkov streamers)
Yes! Had something off in my settings and used this guide to find those issues. Easily increased FPS 20-30 with out losing quality! Thank you!
cheers mate your FPS guides are the best
I was waiting for this!!!
Good to see you had options for G-sync users, been having massive issues lately with tarkov being so strange.
As always - best settings guide. Thanks
Great Vid dude. Glad to see you are on the mend take care.
Getting there brother
Wow! I have a 5800x and RTX 3090 and hadn't updated my graphics settings for a while. I gained about 10-20 FPS on Lighthouse. Thanks!
Thank youuuu! You are awesome!
I definitely had an improvement in my FPS after using the settings from this video as well as the other FPS boost video from this channel. My rig is pretty outdated (gtx 980 / intel i7 4790k) and I had a significant increase in my frame rate without compromising the way the game looks. A+!!!!!
5800x3d 3060ti 32gb RAM 120 FPS on lighthouse
Can't wait to try this, many thanks.
Will try that right away, thanks a lot !
Thanks for tips! Been struggling with Tarkov settings for days since i reinstalled it after taking half a year break or so.
I also did a complete uninstall and reinstall of drivers, didnt install geforce experience. Texture filtering performance works better than high performance for me, dont ask me why but some games absolutely hate high performance.
Low latency mode off, vsync controlled by application setting. Nvidia reflex on ingame, no vsync. Driver capped frames at 72 on 75hz monitor, tearing is barely noticeable on the bottom of the screen with frames under refresh limit.
Also id like to add that threaded optimization has nothing to do with hyperthreading, at least from my understanding it has nothing to do with eachother outside working together.
I dont mess with post fx and i dont recommend anyone doing it if you havent tried different settings on your monitor first.
great video mate
bruh this helped so much w my gpu utilization. was running low settings and still using 98% utilization w my 2060 super. but after this it went down to 65% utilization and temps are lower. i can now increase my graphics. thank you vox
Hey guys, my only question that was not covered is the "Configure Surround, PhysX" tab. If you have a bottleneck via the CPU is it best to select the graphics card here? Thanks!
You can do some of the colour tweaking through intel software if those settings are missing in Geforce Control Panel. It's mainly causeed by your monitor being plugged into integrated gpus on laptops.
Thanks boss. Get well soon.
Thanks dude
Thank you so much for the kind attitude and video you made for us Tarky players.
I have a low budget pc and doing this it is night and day!!! Thanks for the help
Thank man. I hade dips in FPS when moving around on the map and in fights. I'm not getting that dips anymore.
Vox_e always coming in clutch
Welcome boo
How does this go in hand in hand with the settings vid? And will it be possible to add like a minimum specs to so your settings? I run your settings and they are really great for my PC. But I just got a new one.
Dude I litteraly gained like 40 frames with these settings!! went from 30 to 40, all the way up to 80-100 thank you so much!
Thank you!
Welcome gamer 💪
so, wait.. enable g-sync for windowed etc.. do i need to do that if i only play in widnowed? other than that, great video as always
great guide, thanks. the v-sync in the game settings, is it to be activated to make the g-sync work?
Nope...
Gsync works on its on when in gsync range (if you do like the guy in the video getting over his range 144hz gsync gets not triggered :)
Love♥️ thx 4 content
Thank you so much for making this easy to understand! Cheers dude
Lighthouse went from being unplayable to being butter smooth. Thanks dude
have you played with the new dsr modes released in the latest driver?
worked amazing on my 3070ti. Thanks
Dude thank you!!’ My games looks great and now I can play streets agin with out disconnecting
Holy shit Vox ! I went from 40-50 fps to 70-80 !
Ran interchange with solid 74 fps. Thank you so much man
Welcome big horse x
@@VoXEonYT who told you ? ;)
Spects
How about your pc gear ?
Thanks
thx !!! i so great!
which settings do you mess with first? in game or in the control panel?
Thanks vox_e
Im using i7 8700k rtx 2060 16gram , so what do you think about good settings and good fps 70~ , my settings only use high texture and TAA
As a poor GTX 1050 user, this is much needed
Hey Vox! 4:11 Can I set Low latency mode on "Ultra" If i havent gsync but i have vsync in my monitor? Its a different technology but it does same what gsync. Please let me know below :)
just installed nvidia driver 472.12 its much better than the lastest one for my gtx 1070 ( lighthouse before max fps 70 low 50 , now max 85 low 60 and no more lag when I scope )
I love you! thx
hi and thank you for vid BUT not sure if i have done somethink wrong but now i have a green G-SYNC in the right hand corner how can i remove this please
no videos for a year?! love your Tarkov settings videos
If you have vsync turned off in the control panel Gsync will not be active in-game.
You can verify this by clicking on any category under display, then clicking "display" on the menu bar and checking "show Gsync icon".
thx
Feel better dood. Tarkov give me heart issues too :)
Oh my god! Take care of yourself! Heal well sir!!!
HOPE YOUR OKMATE GET WELL BROTHER
very nice video sir.. but i struggle a bit.. for whatever reason i cant find the "setup Gsync" thingy on the left side.. as well as in the Programm settings "Monitor Technology".. i have a MSI MAG251RX which says Gsync compatible...
thanks anyways for all the info man :)
I have the same monitor and the same problem. let me know if you find a way to fix this.
If the g-sync option isn’t available and you know you have it on your monitor, make sure your display port cable is connected.
Unfortunate when you've got a Gsync capable gpu and Gsync capable monitor... but the laptop only has an HDMI cable.
Questo video va bene con un notebook ? Acer nitro5 3060 RTX? Thanks
I got a problem between light and dark areas the transition and some lighting has rainbowish lines with just that light color. No idea how to fix.
What to do with Adjust desktop size and position?
I run on a i7 7700k, 16GB RAM @ 2400 MHz and a 1070ti 8GB, still run terrible on maps like Woods, Reserve and Customs: ~ 40-50fps while I run 120 on Factory or Labs, any tips? I followed this guide and did the DPI scaling override
Hi I use amd 2600 and 3060 ti 8g 1080p will this setting help my performance?
cheers bro
Setting low latency mode to ultra is pointless if you're just gonna use an FPS cap for Gsync anyways. What Ultra does is limit your framerate about 3-4 fps under your refresh rate so that Gsync can be enabled no matter what. Just use "On" if you're gonna set a manual limit.
Also for those who don't know you need Vsync enabled in order for Gsync to work. Some games work better with Vsync enabled per in-game settings but it's much easier and reliable to just set Vsync on in the control panel under global settings. If you set it globally make sure it's turned off in-game however since you have it enabled already through the driver.
If you have an example refresh rate of 144hz then you should set a global fps cap at something like 141fps to ensure Gsync remains engaged at all times. If your framerate exceeds your refresh rate then Vsync will take over and introduce input latency. You want to stay under your refresh rate for Gsync to be used instead.
I have a 165hz gsync monitor so I have globally set these settings: an fps cap of 162fps, low latency mode on (not necessary, probably not reccomended to even enable at all), gsync and vsync both enabled.
Using any external program to cap frame rate will add input lag. Always prefer in-game fps limiters.
Yeah I don’t have a cap but if you have one at like 300 or so I’m Nvidia it’s fine because of you don’t certain people get crazy stuttering in the menus
You should look into Resize BAR. Increased my FPS from 60-100 on woods. Been busy so I gotta check it on other maps.
Might do a separate video for that and process lasso, would be a good one. Could do some overclocking stuff if there’s enough interest.
@@VoXEonYT process lasso definitely helped me. 5-10 mins to setup and forget. Never heard about resize bar tho gonna look into it.
edit: apparently i cant use it since im only a 2080 super plebian
Is tarkov even set up to make use of Resizable BAR? i find this highly unlikely.
Heyeee, I hav a nvidia, thanks for this.
In the colour settings section is there is there way to make those settings tarkov only related? You said you can gain 5-10 fps here, but when I turn up the settings it makes the rest of my applications too bright etc.
It's a global setting and can't be made application specific. Also, do your own testing. When I enable and disable PostFx, my FPS literally doesn't change.
Part of the problem when quoting 5-10 FPS gains or losses is Tarkov is so terribly optimized, even high end rigs can have wild swings in FPS that are nothing to do with settings. This affects averages. This kind of testing is nowhere near scientific enough to attribute such small frame counts to a particular variable.
Hey guys do objects in the distance (50m+) flicker/shimmer a bit in tarkov, or is that my nvidia settings?
I have a 3080 i99900k and 32 gb of ram at 3200mhz and play on a 1140p monitor and I still struggle with having over 100fps. any tips for maximum fps without sacrificing visual quality?
1) Nvidia have image scaling that disabled for you but can be very handy for downscaling from 2k to 1080p on non-rtx GPUs or even rtx until DLSS will come out.
2) If I not mistaken you monitor is 144hz, VRR like gsync cant work outside of its hardware range, if you not locking your fps to 144hz cases. So locking your FPS on 200 with G-sync enabled on 144hz monitor AND disable v-sync is not the brightest idea. Thats where your tearing is coming from, not from low-latency mode
You missed 2 quite important features in you vid bro
The amount of streamers/youtubers making a living from terrible information based around gsync/vsync alone is shocking!!
Bottom line with a gsync monitor is Gsync on, Vsync on, cap frame rate -3 under monitor refresh rate using NVCP max frame rate, RTSS or if CPU bound use in game reflex On+Boost. Where in game reflex is not available use NVCP low latency mode Ultra
Like the other guy implied the tearing isn't necessarily from exceeding his refresh rate but it's from not even having gsync correctly enabled in the first place ON TOP of having wrong framerate settings. With low latency mode set to ultra it'll automatically cap the framerate around -4 under his refresh rate so that isn't the issue (although still not ideal). The issue is not enabling Vsync which is required for Gsync to work to begin with.
what does nvidia low latency have to do with your monitors refresh rate and gsync?
In my experience, if you double down on low latency you will get negative effect. Ive only set reflex on ingame and turned it off globally and in nvidia control panel. I did the same with other settings too and Tarkov now runs at 72fps without any drops on my fake g-sync monitor, ive locked max frame rate to 72 in the nvidia control panel to remove visible tearing i get when set to 73-75, or when uncapped i get over 100fps but with tearing obviously bc my monitor doesnt support it.
Im at a weird point, where if i upgrade my GPU i would have to upgrade monitor too, and vice versa.
@@EricTheBroBean setting things to off in control panel just means they are off.. doesnt matter what you do in game. I also have no idea what your comment has to do with mine.
setting "antialiasing - transparency" on multisample has absolutely zero effect because "antialiasing - mode" is on application controlled - can you explain why you changed it anyway?
I run 80-120 fps depending on map, in woods im getting 80-90 but no matter what i do it feels like im running 30-40
Always appreciate you brother!
Cheers gamer!
Tarkov doesnt show up in the manage 3d applications
What about in game to go with it?
How cute he says the 'e' on the end of vibrance
Vibranc_E
I have a gsync monitor and have my PC plugged in via display port. But I have no setup gsync option. Am I missing something? Running a Rtx 3060
I just noticed while monitoring my temps after buying new fans for my computer. When i play tarkov my CPU usage is about 40-60%, and my GPU usage is constantly at 0%. Anyone know's what might be the problem? I know it's a CPU heavy game, but running at 0% load on my GPU and 40-60% on my CPU seems abit sus to me??
HEY MATE NEW TO PC GAMING AND HAD SO MANY ISSUES GETTING EFT SET TO A DESIRED VISUAL SETTING AND THIS AS WELL AS YOUR LAST VIDEO MADE A MASSIVE IMPROVEMENT TO MY GAME . THANKS HEAPS FOR PUTTING THIS VIDEO OUT
Every video ive watched that is suppose to enhance performance when playing tarkov all makes the game worse. Except this one. You got my sub. Game is super smooth now.!!
cant find escape from tarkov in my program settings i opened battlestate launcher and tarkov i even played a raid but eft still dosnt show
Thank you for the video! But the only thing that I'm having issues is the big stutter when scoping with any zoom like 3x or more. Any idea how to fix this?
I still have that even with a 3090 and 10900k. It's just how it is. Not as noticeable with a better rig.
Mainly a Tarkov engine issue with the way they have the scope as a seperate render of the scene essentially. Is it every time you aim or sometimes?
@@VoXEonYT it happens most of the times even though i have the ryzen 5 5600x I wish they could fix that in the future
Ik this video is a year old, but do you know where i can get that tarkov desktop background? Cant find it, thanks
can't seem to find EFT.exe in the add option, everything you suggested doesnt bring it up in the Invidia control pannel
what if i have adaptive sync on my 1440p ?? what should i be running
Can I have more fps doing this with a gtx 1060 6gb? or should I need a better graphic card to feel the change?
I have the same card, his videos gave me ~20 fps boost barely losing any visual satisfaction
@@aiwarz I did it then I got 20 fps as you, this video helped me a lot
