start of wipe was by far the smallest buckshot. 5mm or 5.25mm i had far more 2 shot kills to the legs while running the double barrel than i had with all of the other shotgun rounds even magnum. a close second for me was the 556 hp. warmegeddon gives a 10 more recoil or something that i dont find worth it for 10 flesh damage and 5 or 10% bleed chances. i started off warmegeddon for my leg meta m4, with the ammo being way cheaper in box form than bullet form. but quickly realized the almost same results can be achieved with basically free ammo with the hp rounds.
I like 12GA, you run express in the gun and a couple free rip slugs from raiders in your pocket. If the guy is too far away or hiding to heal or pain only showing a bit of his leg you load a rip, rack the chamber and finish them off. For labs its naked with a vector and .45 rip, first guy you kill you take that juicy sweatlord armor and raid bag off lol.
just run DB with magnum buckshot and you'll be able to obliterate the entire lobby for 8k total, no matter the armor, skill or reaction time of the opponent
My thoughts? I LOVE Leg meta, consistently being able to win fights regardless of their armor is SO satisfying. Plus watching people trip over themselves when the die is hilarious. Great vod and break down. I hope your doing well man
Actually superformance has the best accuracy.. i have leg meta'd a guy from 100m with a scoped mp 155 on Customs. It felt so disgusting i hid his kit cause he was a low level guy. Trust me. SFormance all the way for this.
Fun and insightful look into some underused rounds! I’ve been having fun with .300BLK whisper lately. It’s super fun, feels and sounds awesome! The other classic is shredding on factory with drum mag PPSH. Always a fun time!!
I absolutely love the kedr, especially on interchange. Go either legs or face, I’ve killed at least a couple hundred pmcs loaded with meta ak’s and 762 BP and level 5 or 6 armors every wipe while gpu running. Very satisfying to say the least
For rifles leg meta still makes sense, while they might not be as good as SMGs up close you can reliably black out limbs in 1 hit over much, MUCH greater distance. For that reason for 5.56 I actually prefer HP over Warmageddon - even if it has slightly less DMG, it has much flatter trajectory and carries enough power to black out limb up to like 160 meters (leg) and 250 meters (arm). That means that you shot someone's leg and they immediately stand still for a follow up shots unless they were on 100% painkiller uptime. And if they have no faceshields, it's free real estate. I use 5.56 HP for dealing with snipers on Lighthouse (and farming rogues) if I find ADAR. Warmage is more powerful and DMG fall off is lesser but it is also slower and starts loosing altitude at closer distance. Overall ADAR with HP and 9x scope is terrifyingly effective. In the past these ammunitions didn't make much sense but considering DMG drop off and penetration loss over distance they're actually viable long range ammo, considering that top tier pen ammo can't even headshot naked head above 100m, let alone one with actual armour protecting it. 5.45 is an oddball here since it's overall the worst of the bunch - no firerate for up close action and pretty terrible ballistic performance for range. However 5.45 has another area it absolutely dominates - US. With suppressor attached and US in the magazine you're pretty much invisible to the enemy. Even though damage is 65 so 9 less than HP and bullet is much slower (under 300m/s) you can be 30-40 meters from the target and the only sound they will hear is them being hit. It's completely inaudible and if you're practiced enough to account for massive bullet drop and slow muzzle velocity, you can setup some really nasty traps at surprising distances (DMG drop-off is minimal with distance - only 5dmg less DMG over 300 meters). It's superb to play sneaky at night - enemies never know where they're being hit from and nearby players don't know there's bloody murder happening right under their nose. I really enjoy recent ballistics changes as it makes variety of ammo types actually viable choice for alternative playstyles. Is SMG the ultimate leg meta choice? Sure, as long as you're fighting inside buildings or factory. But medium to long distance is where rifle cartridges shine. Ultra Nosler is a bit of an odd-ball though because even if it's viable, technically there's no reason not to use M62 or M61 and going straight for the head instead as it still has enough penetration and damage to 1 tap players. Played around with it and Ultra Nosler is unfortunately a bit of a meme.

Great video and for all the people who need a real cheap yet fun and effective build-double barrel (8k from jaegar) with flechette. U can run 1 stack or 20 and be fine. Total build is like 12k and it’s so cheap u don’t really need armor. Killed a couple chunky boys on factory with it
very helpful vid, thanks for the research! it's a lot easier to make those harder to get ammo's last if you top load your mags, can fill the bottom with the next best thing and have twice the magazine's with decent ammo.
There is a reason armor only covers so much, imo they will make actual vitals to go along with the system, otherwise I don't see the system being any good. Also Nikita said this system is not coming before streets. So it might not come at all.
Having KO/shock systems similar to DayZ would made HP rounds nice as well. Currently in Tarkov you shoot someone five times in the chest while they're wearing armour you quite literally did nothing to them except for damaging the armour. Even the blunt damage in the game doesn't really do anything at all, it's way too small and relies on an unrealistic quantity of bullets to even do a bit of damage.
@@GreenSinic in the earlier builds of tarkov there was a lot more “shock” and camera jump when you where hit. People complained and they lowered it. Also you should check out this irl armour testing video using a Russian armour that’s in tarkov and a mp7 using ap rounds. ruclips.net/video/MbPT9z_RzYA/видео.html the person filming concludes that a person would most likely survive been hit with the entire mp7 mag as there was no visible armour deformation.
totally accurate armor hitboxes with this current damage model is going to make some armors and some rounds pretty worthless. since lets say a slick is really small compared to the entire torso, why would you spend more money on armor piercing rounds when you can buy the most damaging rounds, spray the torso eventually hitting something that isn't covered.
sp7 kedr is the goat of leg meta. bang for buck, theres nothing that comes close. not to mention the time saved bulding a kit not needing to put LITERALLY a single attachment on the gun. its an easy "fuck it im sick of losing expensive hits" option that truly does equalize the difference between a 200k kit vs 2million ruble kit
What I am curious about is the fragmentation chance on the rip ammo's. The battle buddy app shows all the rip rounds have a 100% chance to fragment which I would think means a even faster ttk.
@@manvir6170 Its far more likely a distinct design choice that BSG have made and decided not to comment on. It only feels like a bug because they left the original fragmentation chances in the game for the data-miners to find.

Can you die without having your head or thorax 0'ed out? Someone hit me once with an ash 12 and it said I died with my head and thorax still have 50% health.
I’ve always been interested in sp7 vs sp8 I know sp7 does 77 dmg vs sp8 67 dmg but sp8 has a 60% fragmentation chance vs sp7 2% chance and I’ve always wondered how much of a difference it that makes if the bullet frags
Damage to blacked limbs is spread to the rest of the body relative to the percentage of the total health pool that those body parts make up, not evenly to all body parts. Thus if one limb is hit repeatedly, all of your other body parts will become blacked at the same time, rather than the way you described it, in which case the head would always black before other body parts because its total HP is the lowest of all parts. A bit of minutia but important to understanding how damage propagates in Tarkov.
@@isaacmorton7 in the first example, if you take 100 damage to a full hp arm, the arm is blacked and 40 damage is distributed to the rest of the body. it is not distributed 6.66 dmg to each of the remaining body parts as he described it. the remaining 40 damage is distributed as you correctly pointed out, an even percentage of the total remaining health, 380 hp times the damage multiplier for the limb. 40/380 is 10.5% * .7 dmg multiplier for the arm and that is much damage each remaining body part will take from their respective health pools. so the head will only take about 2.5hp (10.5%*.7 * 35HP) damage while the other arm would take 4.4HP (10.5%*.7*60 HP) and the thorax would take the most, 6.2HP (10.5%*.7*85HP). This is iin contrast to how he described it, as an equal 6.66 hp across all limbs, which does not account for the limb damage multiplier or the even percentage distribution.

9mm vector with rip is one of my go to guns. It's pretty insane tbh. I would run it with pbp but the ammo is too scarce. When it comes to the p90, I think you are better off running 190, 193, or l191 and going thorax. Unless of course you don't have the ammo unlocked. The 37f ammo is readily available and cheap.
@@VoXEonYT Yeah, it feels about the same effectiveness as the vector when it comes to legging. Vectors can just be had for a little cheaper, along with a cheaper suppressor. But on the other hand, the rip ammo is usually much more expensive.
Yeah the suppressor is sick. The KEDR and KLIN are also bugged because the stock isn’t a seperate part so it doesn’t effect the recoil when folded which is kinda cool
Leg meta - wow man, that takes me back 20 years. Way back in the day - rogue spear (the original and xpacks like black thorn) - same thing. Legs were not armored, 3 hits to the leg, from anything, resulted in incapacitation. Most people were running the p90 to get armor pen and I'd just blitz them from half way across the map with an mp5 by aiming for the legs rather than trying to get through their torso body armor.
i will always have the 366 akm in my heart cuz it gave me a triple pmc squad kill as a scav , geksa is insane and the reason why scavs obliterate your limbs 1 by 1 until youre dead. Also the chapter timing is off, the lupoa is at start of the smg chapter
It’s annoying to die to it, but the more and more each patch they push inertia makes leg meta worse. People are holding angles more and right side peeking more, giving less shots at the legs or stomach for that matter.
To be honest I am all about magnum fuck oh I mean buck 😅 for leg meta. Other than that this wipe it's RFB and m80 all day with everyone in class 4 it slaps so hard for the money

The ballistic damage nerf over distance has made this much less likely. You are now very likely to survive a buckshot pellet to the face because the 35 damage will lose a point or two traveling over 25 meters. I've survived with 2hp on my head several times now.
this is a little bit off. there are damage multipliers for blacked out limbs, so blacked limbs only take in 70% of damage. and each limb is a percent so its not split equally to all parts

bro. why you skip 5.25mm the most pellets aint it for buckshot!? idk why but ill run the 5.25 over the 7mm and as a cheap alternative to magnum if its bought out or i aint got none sitting around. from what ive seen it literally works just as good. i was looking forward to it being tested too. lol also 556 hp is a super budget option for scavs or leg meta i guess. with bleeding chances and stupid cheap you can bring a mostly bare m4 or adar and murk scavs very effectively and cheaply. besides warmegeddon having 10 extra recoil or some shit. doesnt work well with bare m4 and adar. altho youll be at a big handicap against pmc with any armor lol

I covered all the shotgun ammos is a seperate video about 12g. Truth is I just tested the better rounds and 7mm is better. Slightly more costly? Sure but this video is about TTK not cost effectiveness
All of this is horse shit, browse the internet and see whats happens to people when they get shot, Tarkov claims to be hardcore and realistic but its far from it, all ammo is under powered except for head shots that's still realistic as long as they add a disorientating effect when a bullet is stopped by your helmet, you cant just take a shot in the helmet and continues aiming and shooting as if nothing happen.

As far as I'm aware there's a bug that prevents ammo under 20 penetration from fragmenting

When u did the pistol mags, you still had old ammo in the chamber when testing a new mag. The first shot would be old and the next new...

@@VoXEonYT Yeah, it feels about the same effectiveness as the vector when it comes to legging. Vectors can just be had for a little cheaper, along with a cheaper suppressor. But on the other hand, the rip ammo is usually much more expensive.

Yeah the suppressor is sick. The KEDR and KLIN are also bugged because the stock isn’t a seperate part so it doesn’t effect the recoil when folded which is kinda cool

Leg meta - wow man, that takes me back 20 years. Way back in the day - rogue spear (the original and xpacks like black thorn) - same thing. Legs were not armored, 3 hits to the leg, from anything, resulted in incapacitation. Most people were running the p90 to get armor pen and I'd just blitz them from half way across the map with an mp5 by aiming for the legs rather than trying to get through their torso body armor.

It’s annoying to die to it, but the more and more each patch they push inertia makes leg meta worse. People are holding angles more and right side peeking more, giving less shots at the legs or stomach for that matter.

The ballistic damage nerf over distance has made this much less likely. You are now very likely to survive a buckshot pellet to the face because the 35 damage will lose a point or two traveling over 25 meters. I've survived with 2hp on my head several times now.

this is a little bit off. there are damage multipliers for blacked out limbs, so blacked limbs only take in 70% of damage. and each limb is a percent so its not split equally to all parts

bro. why you skip 5.25mm the most pellets aint it for buckshot!? idk why but ill run the 5.25 over the 7mm and as a cheap alternative to magnum if its bought out or i aint got none sitting around. from what ive seen it literally works just as good. i was looking forward to it being tested too. lol
also 556 hp is a super budget option for scavs or leg meta i guess. with bleeding chances and stupid cheap you can bring a mostly bare m4 or adar and murk scavs very effectively and cheaply. besides warmegeddon having 10 extra recoil or some shit. doesnt work well with bare m4 and adar. altho youll be at a big handicap against pmc with any armor lol

In my opinion, the ttk in Tarkov is waaaayyyy to high . It is just to high for a ‚,realistic‘‘ shooter
People in real life don’t have a defined amount of rounds they can take before dying. People have survived 30 rounds of 9mm to the body before
All of this is horse shit, browse the internet and see whats happens to people when they get shot, Tarkov claims to be hardcore and realistic but its far from it, all ammo is under powered except for head shots that's still realistic as long as they add a disorientating effect when a bullet is stopped by your helmet, you cant just take a shot in the helmet and continues aiming and shooting as if nothing happen.
