If you don’t have the option in your bios there might be an option that says “Port 60/64 Emulation it’s the same thing”
That's what I have but nothing , as long as windows 7 starts loading both mouse and keyboard dies

This won't work , windows 7 is officially unable to boot on new motherboards .
The only solution is to buy a PS2 to USB adaptor
And you're done , end of story . The thing is I can't find one anywhere , and the only one I had I have it away long time ago :(
None of this actually worked for me but it works for other people the solution that worked for me was I had to plug in a usb with windows installed and reinstall windows on a hardrive clearing that hardrive
Hey everyone, I recently went through this issue and was unable to find a fix/workaround for quite some time after checking all the forums and videos I could. Either the BIOS Utility didn't have the options or they were bogus troubleshooting tips. To clarify, I attempted a driver update on multiple devices on my Alienware m17x r4 which, after rebooting and loading to the Windows login screen I discovered that my on-board touchpad/keyboard, alongside with my USB peripherals, no longer worked and was incapable of entering my password or enabling the virtual keyboard. Both on-board & my wireless peripherals DID work in BIOS however, and I could utilize the F8 key to access Windows Repair/Safemode etc.
What did work? By Accessing the Windows F8 Options, select the Disable Driver Signature Enforcement option and there you go. Hope this helps.

I think now that win 7 has the same problem as win xp, i think ther is no solution anymore...
Try using the tab key to navigate and then the up and down keys will function, it worked for me

Starting with window's 8.1 and after with 10, those options in bios are no longer available. Window change their startup process to be faster, and elimated those. If and when one has no access using a keyboard nor mouse. The only way to get into safe mode is via a boot disk. Which which is part of the original start when one first turns on their computer but few if any but geeks ever do. Thus one has to bring their computer to a geek or have them do it in their home.
Having to go to a geek to fix my issue, I now have a boot disk in the event it should ever happen again. While I didn't creat one when I first utilize my computer, its cost me 200 dollars to accept the fact that I should have. LESSON LEARNED the hard way is still learned.

We are basically f*cked
So I reset our family old pc to get rid of everything and when I did mouse and keyboard stopped working. So I took the HDD and put it in my gaming computer to bypass the windows screen. Then I put the HDD back in the pc and it loads but they still don’t work. They light up but no motion or anything. How do I install the drivers without mouse and keyboard?
I fixed the issue by buying this and installing it into the computer. SInce motherboard on it so old, it doesn't have USB 3.0 so u have to buy an adapter and install it Once u do u just plug in both of your mouse and keyboard into the ports on it. Ill link you amazon

if u don't know how to install it watch a tutorial. It's simple. Just put it in a PCIE slot in your computer.

DO THIS!!! If you’re computer is new and can’t use your mouse and keyboard when you are trying to install windows for the 1st time then buy one of those shitty old school mouses with the circle plug and it will work.
Disabling the intel (R) integrated sensor solution system device in the device manager worked for me (restart the pc after disabling the device)
Also in some cases you have to uninstall mouse and keyboard devices (synaptics SMBus clickpad and standard ps/2 keyboard) before the restart.. that is ..(the restart after disabling the Intel (R) sensor solution system device)
I have a similar bios, but in the usb configuration no appears the usb simulato keyboard....

For me this option was already enabled, but turns out it was a Windows 7 problem, on windows 10 it just worked.

Update - you have to format the hard drive or go to the nearest repair centre ask them to install windows 7 or install via USB but make sure the hard drive is formatted /empty , some of the CPUs don't support windows 7 os

2020 in case u run across this problem with the new update u have to shut off the power supply while loading into windows to access troubleshoot options where your keyboard and mouse should work and u have to uninstall the latest quality update from windows once u got that u should be able to load into windows and use your mouse/keyboard and be able to UPDATE your mouse and keyboard driver to avoid the problem in case u wanna reinstall the windows update afterwards.

not exactly the same issue, i got windows 10 installed on a 970 evo NVme it used to be FAST but notice today that when i load windows and desktop comes up all the icons loaded BUT i have no mouse or keyboard i have to wait 10 seconds then mouse and keyboard work and continue to work, it didnt do this before it was instant its nvme...
How can i enable that if i cant do anything on my keyboard and mouse

I will try your fix on a Windows 10 latest update as of Nov. 10, 2021 machine that fails to let mouse and keyboard work properly. I am leaving an addental message This machine is set up EFI. Your tutorial is good except my BIOS is corrupted causing the mouse to be unusable. I need to remove infection from system BIOS that will remove any USB conflicts. An example to prove this point is I duel boot and also have back-up Operating systems all have the same problem , the mouse becomes unusable. Also formatting with PartitionMagic or Windows !0 Clean boot or rather Windows 10 wipe drive and reinstall windows 10 doesn't work meaning all efforts to remedy this problem fail. This is a first for me. I've never seen anything like it in over 30 years using and fixing computers. Pass it on maybe you know how to fix this BRICK. Your tutorial makes sense and I hope it works, please keep in touch I'm trying it now

Bro i have the the same bios(motherboard Asus a320m-k) but in "Advanced/USB Configuration" there is no "USB Keyboard and Mouse Simulator"

@@onsy2386 yeah i solved it, You have to buy PS/2 keyboard and mouse, and attach them to a PS/2 port, it will only then work, and then with that mouse and keyboard download your motherboard drivers. Then your USB keyboard and mouse will work.

Papryk Yes. I had to uninstall this thing called USBdk through command prompt. I get to command prompt by turning on and off my computer to get into where I can activate safe mode(look it up). Somehow my mouse and keyboard works there and after removing USBdk, I restart my pc and can use my mouse and keyboard. It’s complicated but I might be able to help

I had another hard drive with windows on my computer, I unplugged my previously main SSD. I ran windows off of my old hard drive and later connected My main SSD to fix the problem. I was lucky and had another drive. (SATA)

I can't enter BIOS even after pressing DEL/F2/F8/F12/END KEY only it shows 'Prepare to Enter' after that "_" this Symbol keeps blinking on the Left Top Side. And I can't enter Windows also. I did every possible trick but nothing works. I did the RAM Changed, Processor Changed, PSU Changed, CMOS Battery Changed and also Reset the CMOS But nothing works, the CURSOR Still Blinks. So, what I will do! Please help me if anyone has the solution. Thank you
