On installation, I got multiple lags and had to restart for me to install it to my local drive. I would suggest (for older laptops like mine) to turn off network while installing. Great video man. You're a life saver.
Hi. Thanks your your comment. Good point. Also keep in mind that the older the system is, the longer it takes. And depends also on how used your USB drive is... I have a USB from a triple pack that I used it more often then the other two and sometimes the installation on/from it can take up to 2h. And with the other two 15-20min max
To anyone who can't get the play store or even Linux working, Check your storage and to have at least 16GB of storage available. if that's not it, try to make sure that you have virtualization enabled in your computer's BIOS or UEFI Firmware. this could be called Vt-d for intel or SVM on AMD but could be named differently depending on your board or make and model.

Great video! But I have an external 500 GB of hard drive. I want to install Chrome OS on a specific partition of that hard drive. Would be great if you show how to do it.
To install on a partition, you need to use the Grub2wi method. You can find videos about it in my playlist - "How to install Chrome OS on Windows 11" and "How to install Chrome OS on Windows 10"
@@TheArtmann I managed to install Windows 11 and Ubuntu which dual boot. If you're facing an issue where the `sudo` command does not work by default and you want to use `sudo` commands with the `vt-2` shell, you can try the following steps to fix it: 1. Open a terminal or command prompt. 2. Type `sudo visudo` and press Enter. This will open the sudoers file in the default text editor. - If prompted, enter your password. - Note: You may need to use the `sudoedit` command instead of `sudo visudo` if that is the default configuration on your system. 3. Look for the line that starts with `Defaults secure_path=` and make a note of the existing value after the equals sign (`=`). 4. Append `:/usr/local/bin` to the end of the existing value. Make sure to separate it from the previous value with a colon (`:`). - For example, if the existing value is `/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin`, it should become `/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/local/bin`. 5. Save the sudoers file and exit the text editor. - In most editors, you can press Ctrl+X, then Y, and finally Enter to save and exit. 6. Close the current terminal or command prompt window. 7. Open a new terminal or command prompt. 8. Try running a `sudo` command again to see if it works now. By adding `/usr/local/bin` to the secure_path, you are allowing the `sudo` command to search for executables in that directory. This should enable the use of `sudo` commands with the `vt-2` shell.

Hello! I have iMac 24" Mid-2008. and I would like to try ChromeOS on it! Is it still possible to install on my iMac? It uses Core2Duo processor. Thanks!
Hello, I wonder if I have to constantly install newer and newer version, to keep up with chrome os progression, OR there will be an automatic update once chrome os is installed on my laptop? First approach would mean endless fiddling with the laptop, reinstaling apps and files/picstures etc.... quite annoying in the long run
Why do we have to resize the usb when we have to install it on hard drive? I am planning on installing ChromeOS on my whole disk without any partition or dual boot will this method work surely?
No, you don't have to resize it if you are planning to install it. I added the resize option in the video inc ase someone wants to use it from USB without installing. And yes, if you want to install Chrome OS without dual boot, this method will work. But make sure your CPU is compatible with Chrome OS before installing. Not that u try to install first, then u realize it's not compatible
I wish I could follow the same method but on partition. Bro last night the ChromeOs booted but shows only 8GB even though I install it on 128GB partition Dual Boot. I followed the video showing readymade Grub2win code modification and install. Please can you help me I'ma gonna give it a last try today.
There are two ways to increase the storage. Both require to make your own disk image. Check out my Chrome OS playlist for the videos "How to make a Chrome OS Disk Image" and "How to increase Chrome OS Storage"
Absolutely NOT Flex:) I have a bunch of videos with my personal opinion about Flex. FydeOS is easier to install, and of course is made in China - which makes a lot of ppl afraid of it, and ChromeOS is more demanding when it comes to installation, but overall better performance
On GitHub/Sebanc it clearly says core2duo is unsupported hardware. U can check for yourself. If you want to try v87 go for it.. but I'm pretty sure it will not work
Hi. This is a segment from the developers page GitHub/Sebanc and it says: "Some Playstore apps are not compatible with genuine Chromebooks so this is probably normal. ChromeOS is not Android, so some apps and games are not optimized or avaliable." Now, I'm not a SkyGo user and I can't say if this is the case for this app.
@TheArtmann I followed these steps, USB setup went fine, then ChromeOS installed succesfully to disk. I have an AMD 3020e. Is it possible to install this? I think it is Raven Ridge.
Great video btw!
Hi. AMD has very limited support due to the little amount of Chromebooks with AMD processors. I do not think this will work on your system. You could try making a bootable USB (live cd) and see if it runs from it. If the USB works, then you can also Install

how to fix sudo command will not succeed by default if you want to use sudo commands use vt-2 shell
If you're facing an issue where the `sudo` command does not work by default and you want to use `sudo` commands with the `vt-2` shell, you can try the following steps to fix it:
