Chrome OS and Chrome OS Flex are not the same thing. Flex can be installed on a potato.. by a potato. Can u explain what you mean with my images not being "bootable"? I know they work.. that's for sure. But idk what you mean. And why "none of them"? You tested them all? Not necessary.. not even recommended to try them all because it's not a trial and error type of situation here. There can be only one compatible. Which brings me to the main question. Did you checked... before trying my images and naming them "non bootable"... If your CPU is compatible with Chrome OS? What CPU you have?
@@TheArtmann Well obviously I meant none of the images for my CPU worked, using your methods in RUclips videos. I've got it running now. Everytime I followed your instructions and left Rufus settings as they were it wouldn't boot off the thumb drive. Had to manually change a couple of things. Hi, I just want to share my experience about the installation process. I have a third gen intel celeron cpu, it has 500gb hdd and 4gb ram, it was running windows 10 but it became laggy so we tried Chrome OS. I've gone through the installation process like the one on the video but it was not that smooth because there were errors and extra command to input. The first error was the not enough space which was solved through the sudo clean command (the artmann was so quick to reply on my comment and helped me out) Second was the error for I think incorrect something (I got an experience in reading codes but that was long time ago) I saw that I need to put some command to fix the error (I am thankful for the extra lines that the owner of the code gives us to fix a problem within the code) After that it gave me another error but this time there were no extra instructions on how to solve them so I just put the sudo clean command then sudo install command. After sometime whenever there are no instructions as to what to do next, I'll just type in the sudo clean then sudo install. Untill I saw the "Subscribe to Artmann" 😉 Tip: Whenever there is an error just scroll up a little and maybe you'll see through the instructions on what to do next. If there's none and it is asking you to type something, just sudo clean then sudo install. Hope this helps 😊
@@TheArtmann Ok, thank you, I tried every solution but with no success, I installed Android TV OS before and I tough it is possible to install Chrome OS too, I think it's time to let it go.
I guess so to. The thing with Chrome OS is that if there is a Chromebook with your type of CPU then you can find a recovery image. But if no Chromebook was ever made with Atom N450 then there is no recovery image for it and that's why u can't install it
small issue with the script, it fills out the live environment storage and breaks the script, I'm not sure if the "upgrade" command is needed, Im going to try to manually clean up some space but thank you for taking the time and making this :)

I really appreciate your effort. I installed chrome OS on my partition using your grub2win method and it worked. But updating the Chrome OS doesn't seem to be working. It always fails. Would be great if you show me how to update the Chrome OS.

Bro.. u checked first if your CPU is compatible with Chrome OS?
And this is the CPU i'm using: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3337U CPU @ 1.80GHz

Number Of Cores: 2 and yes i have the laptop on uefi and the boot lock is disabled and still it wont work. And at the end of the installation is says that my discspave is getting low? I have about 250 gb of space.
It says forbidden when i open the link...
The links are momentarily down.
I tried it but now the usb doesn’t work what went wrong?

Thank you. I'll check and return with an answer
None of your images are showing up bootable. Bios settings are all proper, i was able to install chromeOS flex with no trouble.
You might want to change that part in your videos to say "Make sure your Rufus config looks just like mine" of similar because it never chose the proper settings when loading your images.
Got the latest version you have on your site running and then I updated brunch and chromeOS! So now I'm running the newest stable version and it's beautiful! Laptops got an i5 7200U so it's smooth AF!
Thanks for your quick reply and all your help.
I never mentioned it because I never changed something in Rufus. In your case it must be because of you low voltage CPU that requires the modifications.
You can leave a comment if you want, and explain what u changed. That way other people with similar CPU can try it out

The first error was the not enough space which was solved through the sudo clean command (the artmann was so quick to reply on my comment and helped me out)
Second was the error for I think incorrect something (I got an experience in reading codes but that was long time ago) I saw that I need to put some command to fix the error (I am thankful for the extra lines that the owner of the code gives us to fix a problem within the code)
After that it gave me another error but this time there were no extra instructions on how to solve them so I just put the sudo clean command then sudo install command. After sometime whenever there are no instructions as to what to do next, I'll just type in the sudo clean then sudo install. Untill I saw the "Subscribe to Artmann" 😉
Tip: Whenever there is an error just scroll up a little and maybe you'll see through the instructions on what to do next. If there's none and it is asking you to type something, just sudo clean then sudo install.
Hope this helps 😊
Thank you for the great comment. I'm glad everything went well for you. Cheers!
