@@jessicamcwarden3680 that's why it doesn't work. The images are for 3rd gen (samus) and 4th - 9th gen (rammus). Chrome OS does not work on core 2 duo. I'd say try Android, but not sure 100% that will work either. Last option would be Chromium OS CloudReady Neverware.. but that one has no Play Store
Chrome OS cannot be installed on devices with ULV CPUs (ex: i3-5005U or i5-6300u). You have a ULV CPU and most probably you CAN'T install Chrome OS on it. But you can run Chrome OS from a USB as a live CD. So, there's at least that.

Hello, I’ve tried to install last samus version on my old Laptop Lenovo G580 with HDD, Intel i3 and Bios legacy support, but i got the message "no such file or directory". It's the same message like in the tutorial in the lines above the installation on the partition sda, concerning the installation on sda2. I've tried to do the installation on an ntfs partition sda3, which I created previously with GParted. I tried as well to install on a new simple volume, created with windows disk management (like in the tutorial Dual Boot Chrome OS and Windows 10 [No Linux, No USB, Easy Method] [2022] but it didn't work as well.

The AMD one is 100% not supported and the Atom depends how old is it. If it's Baytrail family or later then is should be good. If it's older then not. Check out my video "Why you CAN'T install Chrome OS on your device" from my Chrome OS playlist to learn how to check if your CPU is compatible with Chrome OS or not and if it is, then how to check which Chrome OS recovery image is the right one for it.

@@robloxmarci2580 u need to format nothing. All u have to do is choose where u want chrome os to be and that's it. All u have to do is follow the instructions in the video - which is the commands. I never said something in the video about formating any partition in fat32 or NTFS or whatever. And one more thing. In the video I also specified clearly that this medhod is not for partitions. Is for a whole drive. So if you install on an sda drive, the entire drive will be wiped out. If you have important data or Windows on it, it will be gone. You need a drive for windows, and another for chrome

I don't believe you are a "computer illiterate" if you are asking about Clover and Chrome OS. A "computer illiterate" would just follow the tutorial without questioning (because you know.. no knowledge and all that) and hoping not to mess a letter in a command otherwise the whole system would crash and burn. That's what a "computer illiterate" would think and do anyway.

thank you for making this video. I am using HP 1000 series laptop with core I3 processor purchased in 2011. So I downloaded the samus r9. When I extract it, I get samus_image.img file. You edited the ramus name in the video. Should I rename my extracted file as well. Also, your ramus fiile has a .bin extension and mine samus has a .img extension. Please guide.
You probably download the image from my website. That's already done. You don't have to do it urself. But if you have Legacy Bios you need to download the Linux Mint + Chrome OS 2in1 iso fromy website. Also watch the related video to know how to use it

Hi. U can't install drives on chrome os. And graphics cards (Nvidia AMD) are not compatible at all.. just internal graphics card. For wifi you can try the fixes fromy video "How to Fix Chrome OS" from my Chrome OS playlist

Of u disabled secure boot, and u r on legacy bios.. having 3rd gen CPU i5.. I don't get why it doesn't work. All should be fine. By any chance u have NVMe and not SSD/HDD? Because u r in a hurry, what I suggest (hope) is that u have another USB (min 8gb to make a windows bootable USB in Linux. Do u have a USB?

I guess the series 5 had an older version of Chrome os, probably 91 max, which is not available anymore.

Try version 93.. and if that doesn't work, try Samus 91. Your CPU is kinda old (2013) for r97

But I cannot move the ChromeOS folder to the flash drive because the flash does not appear on my computer after burning Linux Mint
This should not happen normally. Did u use Rufus for flashing Linux Mint?
Try removing the USB, restart the PC, then put it back n see what happens
yes l always have the flash not appear on Windows after burning any distribution of Linux, I delete the flash from the disk management @@TheArtmann

Buen día soy de argentina lo e instalado en una laptop con un procesador de AMD c 50 pero al reiniciar y seleccionar Chrome os comienza el bucle que no arranca de apaga y así sucesivamente. Alguien tendrá una solución o en si no es compatible con mi laptop. Pd tiene 4gb ram y le di 220 GB en la partición que lo instale

@@robloxmarci2580 u need to format nothing. All u have to do is choose where u want chrome os to be and that's it. All u have to do is follow the instructions in the video - which is the commands. I never said something in the video about formating any partition in fat32 or NTFS or whatever. And one more thing. In the video I also specified clearly that this medhod is not for partitions. Is for a whole drive. So if you install on an sda drive, the entire drive will be wiped out. If you have important data or Windows on it, it will be gone. You need a drive for windows, and another for chrome

I don't believe you are a "computer illiterate" if you are asking about Clover and Chrome OS. A "computer illiterate" would just follow the tutorial without questioning (because you know.. no knowledge and all that) and hoping not to mess a letter in a command otherwise the whole system would crash and burn.
That's what a "computer illiterate" would think and do anyway.
I was trying to install it on sda3 (having Windows7 and Linux mint installed on another partitions) and got a bunch of errors right after the intallation began

It doesn't work on pentium, core2duo or 1st and 2nd gen CPUs. Better try an android operating system

I had this one time. The problem was with the chrome os version that I was using. I went to an older version and then it worked. And then I've upgraded back to the latest.. but not all at once.. slowly.. on the course of 2 days

thank you for making this video. I am using HP 1000 series laptop with core I3 processor purchased in 2011. So I downloaded the samus r9. When I extract it, I get samus_image.img file. You edited the ramus name in the video. Should I rename my extracted file as well. Also, your ramus fiile has a .bin extension and mine samus has a .img extension. Please guide.
You probably download the image from my website. That's already done. You don't have to do it urself. But if you have Legacy Bios you need to download the Linux Mint + Chrome OS 2in1 iso fromy website. Also watch the related video to know how to use it

Flex has no Play store. You can try android x86, PrimeOS, Bliss OS, Phoenix OS etc..

Hi. U can't install drives on chrome os. And graphics cards (Nvidia AMD) are not compatible at all.. just internal graphics card. For wifi you can try the fixes fromy video "How to Fix Chrome OS" from my Chrome OS playlist

Because u r in a hurry, what I suggest (hope) is that u have another USB (min 8gb to make a windows bootable USB in Linux. Do u have a USB?
