I used Rammus on an old HP Pavillion X360 with Beats by Dre audio (And touch screen) and it was the best idea I’ve had on what to do with that laptop! I ran Linux on it before but no matter the distro I installed in the end would break directly after install in a bad way, the keyboard would never work lol. Never ran into it on any other machine! And since it’s so low spec ChromeOS breathed fresh life into it and now it’s great to have by the bed and just fire up Plex if you want to watch a movie or browse the web! I highly recommend people to follow thru if they have an old laptop laying around!
Did everything step by step, and get a "missing OS" message on the reboot. **edit** Reinstalled. Made sure secure boot was turned off, (had to enable a supervisor password to disable), and brunch loaded! Chrome patches were applied and chrome did load. Nice tutorial!

@ッGalacthicc not necessarily. Most things are installed using one command depending on the package manager. Also there is never a shortage of people on Reddit who can help you if you have an issue. And you can also run Windows apps using WINE. And you can also game using Proton which is developed by steam. Only thing is anticheats can flag Linux users which is kind of sad

I did this to a 32 gig hp stream probably a year ago. I used the relm image because the HP Chromebook 11 G5 EE almost matched spec for spec my model. So munch so that I’ve enabled auto update and just periodically update the brunch loader.

Probably because the hardware are not supported. On mine it worked flawlessly. Because of the locked nature of ChromeOS I don't believe you can directly add it into the system. However you might be able to find a way to inject drivers by searching on Google.

It's not related to the versions. Do you know what model WiFi card does your HP Stream 11 use? If it's an Intel, Broadcom, or Realtek card, then it's easy to deal with. If not then you need to result in either swapping the wifi card, use an external USB wifi adapter, or use through ethernet.

Nah, Whatever image i use. After Reboot of the System my Android Apps wont start :-( And the Killer feature in the Original ChromeOS are the Andreid apps. ChromiumOS does not support them.

If you want better support, you can install a chromium os based one like cloudready, but you will loose google assistant and adroid app support. As long as you don't mind loosing files or you've made a backup, you can always go back to windows or linux

Mine says "brunch has been successfully installed"
That means it has installed Chrome OS. Brunch is what loads it.

When I copy and paste the last line of text I get the no such directory. Even when I type cd and drag the file over it still doesn't work

you can't, the whole disk needs to be formatted since chromos has its own partition scheme.

I think it’s a bit too old for this. Since anything earlier than a 1st gen Intel Core i won’t technically work. Cloud ready supports more.

If you don't have uefi support I highly doubt it will work. Though you could try.

Hello M3tech, I have a question, Is this install ... "official" what I mean is can/will it receive "updates" ? Will I have "Full Access" to Google Play, Android & Linux environments?
it can receive updates. you will have full access to google play, android, and Linux, just like an actual Chromebook

@@phillipmeza3459 Chrome os is a propietary version for official chromebooks, this video teaches you to make your own install of that os. If you want better support, you can install a chromium os based one like cloudready, but you will loose google assistant and adroid app support. As long as you don't mind loosing files or you've made a backup, you can always go back to windows or linux
Sir your video is authentic one in this topic, there are so many videos in youtube related to this which misguide viewer. But your video is ideal to install Chrome OS in any laptop even touch screen one. Thank you for your genuineness 👍
