Shaun, you guys have to get together with another British youtube channel called "those two brits", they often visit the USA and make videos about the differences between USA and Britain. They are from London I believe. 🙂 Also if you ever go to Las Vegas -- I'm not sure if you have been there yet? -- you should see if you collaborate with Norma Geli, she does videos about Las Vegas and lives there! 🙂
Fun Fact (I think I read somewhere) The Great Lakes provide 10% of the WORLDS supply of fresh water…..If you get the chance to visit Michigan, try to get up to the Upper Peninsula. Mackinac Island, Marquette, Lake Superior….
Hello from Illiiois, Shaun. My name is Shawn. Found ya by watching Ol Lawrence Brown make me laugh my ass off. I enjoy watching you two, especially together. Looks like its Fun on a Bun, as my favorite beer swillin', cigar smokin' robot would say. Keep it up and be safe. Were not in Kansas anymore.
When I got my 1st apartment (er, flat) back in 1976, in the Wrigleyville neighborhood of Chicago, I used to spend a lot of Saturdays in Lincoln Park. So lovely. I find Lake Michigan's water too bone chilling cold. The water is much more tolerable on the Michigan side.
It has been fun seeing your visit with Laurence and experience Chicago. I am happy that you got to see Lake Michigan. Hopefully you will return and spend some time in and on the lake. Great coho and steelhead fishing. I have a place in Michigan a few steps from its shore. Love the dunes and beaches. BTW Originally the Chicago shoreline was natural dunes, much like the Indiana and the lower Michigan coast, but was developed for industry. In the early to mid 20th century, the lakefront park was created and the coastline restored where much of the beach sand needed was imported from Indiana or dredged from the lake bottom.
yep Chicago has some unpredictable weather. its because of where the city sits. It gets lots of warm air from the south but also butts up to one of the Great lakes and the cold artic winds from Canada stir up the air constantly. honestly you don't know what will happen in like a hour from that moment because its so unpredictable. I've heard about blazing heat, rain, blizzard, hail, torrential downpour, then finally back to somewhat nice all in one day. Its a very unpredictable area of weather.
Another Great Lake Michigan site is Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park. Go from there north along the coast up to Traverse City and then on to Petoskey and Harbor Springs. Finally round the western tip and you’ll be at the Mackinac Bridge. Great summer destination.
I really love & look forward to seeing your videos as they are very interesting! I have Scottish ancestry on both my mom& dad’s side Stuart /Gillespie cheers from Austin Tx 🎉
Some info on Ulysses S. Grant (initials US Grant). An 1843 West Point graduate, he had great interest in horses and got a reputation as most proficient horseman. Served in the Mexican-American war after the annexation of Texas. In 1861 joined the Union army as commanding general and fought in the civil war through 1865 a week before Lincoln was assassinated. A war hero was nominated by the Republican party for president and elected 18th president of the US in 1868. He's buried in Manhattan by Central Park West in a large monument. His ancestors arrived in Massachusetts from England in 1630. His great-grandfather fought in the French and Indian war; his grandfather served at Bunker Hill during the American war of independence.
Always love the crossover videos! Of course subscribed to both Shaun's and Laurence's RUclips channels as soon as I discovered them, been a while now and very happy to see the Fab Four together (love that Tekka and Tarah join in)! I will look forward to more of these like crossover episodes in the DC multiverse! Apparently you are both such international RUclips sensations that the Chinese government is even sending men to keep an eye on you (didn't look behind you at the baseball game, didja?) 🤣🤣🤣 That's a BIG park, guys... I didn't realize Chicago had one downtown that looks like it rivals Central Park or Hyde Park, at least from where you're filming. The Great Lakes are indeed huge, it looks very similar to the beach here sometimes with waves coming in (well, little waves), but when you were going to touch the water it dawned on me that I was looking at a beach with no seaweed or seashells. So THAT part was a bit weird. I have to say though, Sean, how jealous most of us Americans are getting of you and Tekka. You are seeing more of our country than ANY of us will see in our lifetimes, even those who are able to travel around a lot! Gotta go now and watch some of Laurence's vids, then back here, than back to Laurence, then back here.... Love to all 4 of you from Miami!! ❤❤❤❤
You couldn’t find Lake Michigan?? Lol they call the Great Lakes inland seas for a reason. They are huge! I know you were kidding when you said that, but it made me chuckle… imagine, losing a Great Lake!!? Lol❤️🤗🐝
Did Lawrence tell you the high school band in the town he used to live in Anderson Indiana is called the Marching Highlanders and they wear kilts and have a pipe and drum corp?
I haven't read all the comments yet but I guess this was shot some time ago (typing this in Feb '23) going by the relatively light clothing you are wearing?
Wow! Laurence didn't reveal to his viewers until about a month or so ago that they had purchased a house. People have been railing on you for not posting these in a timely fashion, but if you had, you would have blown his surprise for him!
when we get a new President should I send him a letter telling him to make citizenship easier for Brits and other Europeans? do you want that? in my opinion we need more Europeans in the united states
Sure thing! But it has been the same for several Presidents and unlikely to change - these things usually involve a bi-lateral agreement between countries
Not sure if you guys know yet but I have another channel - watch the latest video here: ruclips.net/video/tfG_3Q4XKsw/видео.html
That was a cool video. I will check out your new channel!

Fun factoid. All the great lakes but one are shared between the US and Canada, Lake Michigan.
Thank you for the combination of two awesome Brits!! Love both of you 💖💖
So great seeing you two together and seeing how the "magic" works.
Bloody love you guys ❤
Appreciate you ❤️
I love all of you. Tara's hair is on point.

All lakes big enough have waves- but the beach there and that lake is connected to the atlantic ocean via canals wide enough for cargo ships.

Helps if you know that streets with state names run parallel t9 the lake, and presidential perpendicular
@@LindaC616 That’s good information to have!❤️🤗🐝
@deborahdanhauer8525 it took me a few trips driving through there pre GPS to figure that out 😄
@@LindaC616 I’ve only been there once years ago. Beautiful city then, I hope it still is❤️🤗🐝

Shaun have you ever done a fishing video in Scotland I remember you said you like to fish . I would like to know about Scottish fishing culture.
I am amazed at these fantastic shirts, none of which would look good on me.

Which zoo is this Shaun? I only know of the Brookfield Zoo because it's near my sister-in-law.
Lincoln Park Zoo by the Lake on the north side.
@@wolver73 Yes and still free to check out the zoo to the public.
@@wolver73 thank you!
When a friend had to pick up her girls at school, when I visited, we'd stop by there after. Love it

hello YT video watching people
Wow! Laurence didn't reveal to his viewers until about a month or so ago that they had purchased a house. People have been railing on you for not posting these in a timely fashion, but if you had, you would have blown his surprise for him!
My guess is that he edited this video when he got back to the UK and by that time Laurence had already done these things.
The American: Drive everywhere.
The European: Walk everywhere.
What you're hanging out with an Englishman?! Oh I forgot he is now an American. But you got one up on him as you are an honorary San Antonian. 😁🤪
Once an Anglo always an Anglo
Hm
?
Have you been to a rodeo yet?
Yes. In his last TX series
