New folks who’s watching this video today, guys..I bought this car after watching this video 4 years ago true story lol, Let me just tell ya this vehicle is an Absolute “BONKERS” same exact year black on black, car is an absolute monster, 5/5 Liter Big V8 with TWIN TURBO is a MIG-31 Foxbat on WHEELS, Turbo Spool and Down Shifts are just crazy on S+ Mode and this is a Torque MONSTER, every now and then people poke you to race, haven’t a lost a race nor disappointed ever. MB’s Best Design so far, nothing came before nor after this car will ever beat this design. Puts a smile on your face everytime you take this pony out for a ride.
They do tank in cost. But be weary, do research and know what to look for with problems. I know many people who have bought them and been scorned cuz, they had to go to the dealership for little things and it eventually was just a money pit. Hell, get some tools and some Jacks. You'll be much happier snowing you have can skip $150+ oil changes and $2k+ brake jobs
The 5.5 TT v8 sounded amazing. The 4.0 TT sounds great but my god the 5.5TT was so guttural. None of them are the 6.2 of course, but theres no denying just how good the 5.5 sounds.
Like don't get me wrong, the 4.0 does sound good in it's own way as it's high strung and free revving, but the 5.5TT sounds like an old school big block V8
I personally like the sound of the M113K 5.5 supercharged Motor. That thing sounds incredible. I raced a SL55 in my old Camaro SS (2010 LS3 manual) and got destroyed. But the sound the SL made was incredible. Super deep and loud. Sounded like a plane in front of me. Everyone in my car started to freak over the noise it made. To the day one of the best cars I’ve heard.
Yeah. Looking into both the 550 with a renntech tune and the 63/65. I’m I terrified at the maintenance? Yes. Am I also wildly irresponsible? Also yes. With a budget of around 25k and a reserve of 5k for stuff breaking I’m okay with the idea of any 63 or 65. But I love the look of the pillarless coupes. I don’t need a c class as they are just a little small for my needs.

He actually refers to a turbo as acting like a very weak muffler to cut back engine noise slightly. Your sound is on point these days btw. God damn this thing sounds amazing. Just keep fucking stomping on it.
It's funny to see the sunroof slide back in this cls. My CLS 55 does the same thing in heavy acceleration which I tend to do way to much around town, however, I thought it was just unique to my car and was something that I've always meant to find a fix for. Love the sound of that 63!
Yeah, I have a 2012 CLS 63 as well, and neither the steering wheel or infotainment system is stock. Looks like he tried to facelift the interior tot he newest ones. I absolutely loved mine, really fun car
Damn that is nasty 🤘🤘 my 2014 C63 AMG 2 Dr is stock. I want to eliminate the resonators, but I love the sound of this. I need to do this to mine. I only have 451 horse and 443 pounds of torque. But I'm definitely gonna tune mine as much as I can possibly do. This CLS is nice.
Just bought a 2012 CLS for $15,700 out the door 105k miles running strong just pulled out oil pump solenoid wire harness IYKYK must do! Changed oil airbag suspension was changed timing chain is newer version !
had a 2012 with a Renntech Tune. Great car, Bought catless downpipes but took them off. Way too loud for me, Also the car ran very rich. It reeked like gas all the time. I dynoed at 589 whp before the downpipes.
Have a 14 E63, the only reason I didn't get a CLS is because the lack of a 5th seat that I need for my kids. Regardless, I love these cars and this drivetrain. Wish I had done the turbobacks, kudos to the owner for going that full route. Excited to see how this sounds, maybe I'll bite the bullet and just get em
Yeah the facelift E63 is also really nice, but the same facelift on the 15 CLS63s is just even more stunning! Also just running catless downpipes is also a good alternative but a bit less power
I prefer the prefacelift CLS and the face lifted E. And I already have catless downpipes and a muffler delete. I love them but snapped a cat bolt and its had a subtle leak so,.. Turbobacks it is! In love with this sound though :-)
Blinx197 ah ok. For me rounded styling of the facelift suits the more rounded body style of the cls better, while the E63s more angular styling makes more sense with the more angular pre facelift style. Just how I see it. Can’t go wrong with turboback dp
XR4ti people who haven't seen tavarish wouldn't know about it. I think his channel is interesting and a little shout out from these guys might get him some new subscribers. I know on one of the podcasts Matt gave tavarish an open invite. I just think it's great when channels throw out other channels to check out. Sorry for the ramble it's not really a big deal I just would have personally liked to see it.
muffler delete is perfect. straight pipe all the way through is a bit too much especial for a daily, I believe theres like 3 sets of restrictors resonators to a mid resonator n mufflers. thats without including the cats.
CLS AND CL JUST GOEGEOUS FROM THIS ERA WAY BETTER LOOKING THAN ANY BMW Thier is one at my work it's CLS63 have carbon ceramic with like gold or copper color just amazing looking machine
This is the first time I really noticed how cheap cars are in the US. Back in 2011 I got a CLS 350 CDI (this generation of car) and it was more expensive than the 63 in the states... 😳 Had the car for a few years and really loved it.

Star diagnostic is not Mercedes-benz original tester... in many countries just one comppany have rights to sell Mercedes Benz official testers to other comppanies or firms but this is important to know.

Get a C63 for $18-20k
Get a well maintained E55 AMG for ~$15k.. 90% of the oomph for a fraction of the price
