Gotta give it to Microsoft for embracing consumer friendly approaches eg. setting up Xbox, customizing the UI, Integrating smart home devices' features into Xbox like typing with my iPhone Xbox app or powering on/off with Alexa. Little things like this make a big difference typo consumers. Hyped for Series X

Seeing how I can install and uninstall games on the go using the Xbox apps, I see little to no problem with the tiny SSD size of the Series S. Depends totally on the internet bandwidth at home, of course.

I kind of feel bad for the xbox community. Halo got delayed and The Medium got delayed. At this point they have no concrete date for any new exclusives which is what the gamers want most from them.
I recently purchased the S cause I couldn't find the X or the ps5 anywhere lol I'm still excited to get it ! Great little system ! Good video ! Very helpful
great review overall.. I think the Verge does it the best... Microsoft has already come out and said there would be other storage options and prices will go down in the future. All these next gen consoles are sacrificing something in storage.. PS5.. Series X and Series S.. because the SSD storage is expensive. Expect prices to go down.. and the Series S will make alot more sense.. in the meantime, use your external hard drives for current gen games, and use the onboard for anything next gen. simple. Also.. everyone knows new consoles don't really come into their own until a year or two has passed and developers can really utilize the hardware. I'll be getting the PS5.. but these games coming out at launch really don't impress me. I want to see games a year from now.. those.. will be killer.

Great console! Also, really good controller, but what would make it great is if it had similar dual sense technology from the PlayStation 5 controllers to make it feel a little more 'next-gen'
Also, Game Pass is a great idea. $70 bucks feels like a lot for a game, especially when you're dealing with a game like 2K, where changes are incremental.
You don't NEED the expandable storage card for games, it's optional the system comes with internal memory for anybody that misunderstood that part of the review.

PS5 and the Xbox are taking two very different approaches. Xbox, deliberately, is more of the same but better. And some people like that. But I'm thankful that Sony is still making each generation feel radically different, rather than the just-the-same-but-better approach

Because of longevity. Try replacing a battery pack in a DualShock 3/4 or a DualSense after a year or two when they don't hold a charge anywhere near as long as they ought to. It's surprisingly consumer friendly and you have the option of what type of batteries you use.
@@bryan.w.t for sure, I'm not talking about single use batteries here though. You can use any variety of rechargable AA batteries with any size milliamp hours to work with the controllers. It's cheaper than buying single use ones and if you get 2500mah or 2550mah they're gonna last you significantly longer. Also you can keep spares and immediately swap out while the dead batteries recharge without having to have the controller plugged in.
