Other tests I've seen put it at about 1m10s from the splash screen. The 5 second load time is only once you've loaded to the menu, that still takes awhile if it isn't preloaded.

When traveling regions, gotta spam X as it finishes loading faster than the story recap finishes, but won't transition to the game until the story recap is done unless you press X. So that's faster than perceived if you don't hit X.

The main talking point about quick resume should not be just to switch between games. That's great don't get me wrong. But the main thing is that if your console is off(in instant on mode), you can literally jump into any game using quick resume which makes loading screens obsolete. Most reviews seem to miss this for some reason.
That already existet on the Xbox one tough. Your game would Pause if you turned youre xbox off and you could instantly start playing. So it isnt a new thing for the Series X

One big thing being missed about quick resume is that it works even after the console is turned off or unplugged. For people who are busy and have large families, they can just jump right into the games without losing much time.

The xbox series x is one of the best things i have ever buyed when it comes to game consoles over the years. the first console i got was a PS1. i have bough every Playstation home console since then, ending with the PS4. i loved my PS4, but the fan sounds like a jet plane landing in the living room, gets you out of the experience, i buyed xbox series x since i had a 4K tv, and i wanted to try something new, it changed EVERYTHING, everything is so streamlined, i love Gamepass, being able to play a huge catalog of games without paying 50 dollars for a new game everytime a game comes out. i especialy love they have updated some xbox 360 games like Sonic Generations, Sonic Unleashed, that ran on 30 FPS, 720P earlier, now they run in 4K, 60 FPS, i love playstation but i like playing games like Halo, Gears of war, doom, banjo kazooie
I will buy an Xbox series x to play all the games from Xbox original to next gen games then I will buy a PS4 pro to play 21 exclusives on it only , and maybe I will buy an Xbox series s to let it play small games like overcooked and indie games and run and gun ..... Also puzzle games and stuff
Something ppl dont talk about with quick resume is the main perk about it which is hopping back in your game after youve turned it off and then come back the next day and turn it back on with quick resume!! Its an amazing feature and you have to expirience it to truly appreciate it:)

Saying this is just a “good” gaming machine shows how much snobbishness and ridiculous expectation there is among pundits when it comes to new consoles. As a lifelong PC gamer (30 years) and owner of every console generation and platform that has released along the way, this is without doubt the biggest step forward consoles have ever made to saddle up to current gen PC feel and performance. Even the previous gen felt extremely next gen lite when it came out. I was using a 980ti and had a sick 8 core machine with 16gb DDR3 and an SSD at the time. Next gen didn’t feel super next gen at all. But even now next to my current PC I can already see just how amazing a job these companies have done and for the ridiculous price point.
yup, and these clowns don't even know what games to use to test the power of these new consoles. I would've tested frame rates on pubg, siege, gta v, cod mw, and DayZ. Games known for having fps issues, and sudden frame drops.

Well, you clearly haven't been paying attention when 7th gen consoles came out. They were basically supercomputers at the time especially the PS3. That being said the SSD technology might make this gen a more significant leap depending on how developers use it only time will tell.

I love both Xbox and Playstation. I haven't had much time time with the last generation consoles due to work and school. I recently stopped working to go to grad school full-time and I was lucky enough to get a series x. Playstation was my first choice but after playing the series x I converted to a xbox fan boy. I'll be buying a PS5 as well as soon as u can get my hands on one, it going to have an up hill battle to win me back though.

I have the Xbox Series X with a 1080p tv My opinion on it coming from owning an Xbox One S : Forza Horizon 4: Runs extremely better, super-fast load times, silky-smooth graphics. Cyberpunk 2077: Super trash on the Xbox One S to the point that I didn't want to play it. On my Xbox Series X, it's enjoyable. Call of Duty Cold War: Just about the same graphics wise when playing zombies, I haven't tried campaign on it yet. Xbox Game Pass makes this console really enjoyable for me. It's nice to have the luxury of being able to pick from a large library of games to download for $15. Upgrade? Yes, when you can. Is it worth $800? Depends on how badly you want it. Getting my hands on a PS5 soon so I'm excited to see how it holds up in comparison. Great vid btw !!

You do realize you can put a SSD into your current Xbox to get these faster load times right? It takes literally 2 minutes to swap it. I have 3 SSD's in my gaming PC and when i got the PS4 pro a few years ago i immediately put a SSD in it. If i could put a SSD into my Switch i would cause its night and day. If anyone complains about slow load times its their own fault for not doing something about it lol

Quick resume is already there on the One but only with one game so it never got talked about you could always quick resume from Turning it on

@@NewAgeSlaves it will, but physically for shelve stocks there will only be 10 per retailer (when they restock i don't know). So basically, you have to camp the night to get one if your lucky.
Sony has made a statement saying don't camp at a retailer, you aren't getting one unless you pre-ordered one.

@@kor9 i know the ps5 is going that route but I don't think the xbox series will be online only, my gamestop told me they will have a few instock that aren't for pre orders and so does wal-mart.
However it could have changed from a few days ago.
One big thing being missed about quick resume is that it works even after the console is turned off or unplugged. For people who are busy and have large families, they can just jump right into the games without losing much time.

The xbox series x is one of the best things i have ever buyed when it comes to game consoles over the years. the first console i got was a PS1. i have bough every Playstation home console since then, ending with the PS4. i loved my PS4, but the fan sounds like a jet plane landing in the living room, gets you out of the experience, i buyed xbox series x since i had a 4K tv, and i wanted to try something new, it changed EVERYTHING, everything is so streamlined, i love Gamepass, being able to play a huge catalog of games without paying 50 dollars for a new game everytime a game comes out. i especialy love they have updated some xbox 360 games like Sonic Generations, Sonic Unleashed, that ran on 30 FPS, 720P earlier, now they run in 4K, 60 FPS, i love playstation but i like playing games like Halo, Gears of war, doom, banjo kazooie
I will buy an Xbox series x to play all the games from Xbox original to next gen games then I will buy a PS4 pro to play 21 exclusives on it only , and maybe I will buy an Xbox series s to let it play small games like overcooked and indie games and run and gun ..... Also puzzle games and stuff

Something ppl dont talk about with quick resume is the main perk about it which is hopping back in your game after youve turned it off and then come back the next day and turn it back on with quick resume!! Its an amazing feature and you have to expirience it to truly appreciate it:)

Saying this is just a “good” gaming machine shows how much snobbishness and ridiculous expectation there is among pundits when it comes to new consoles. As a lifelong PC gamer (30 years) and owner of every console generation and platform that has released along the way, this is without doubt the biggest step forward consoles have ever made to saddle up to current gen PC feel and performance. Even the previous gen felt extremely next gen lite when it came out. I was using a 980ti and had a sick 8 core machine with 16gb DDR3 and an SSD at the time. Next gen didn’t feel super next gen at all. But even now next to my current PC I can already see just how amazing a job these companies have done and for the ridiculous price point.
yup, and these clowns don't even know what games to use to test the power of these new consoles. I would've tested frame rates on pubg, siege, gta v, cod mw, and DayZ. Games known for having fps issues, and sudden frame drops.

I love both Xbox and Playstation. I haven't had much time time with the last generation consoles due to work and school. I recently stopped working to go to grad school full-time and I was lucky enough to get a series x. Playstation was my first choice but after playing the series x I converted to a xbox fan boy. I'll be buying a PS5 as well as soon as u can get my hands on one, it going to have an up hill battle to win me back though.

My opinion on it coming from owning an Xbox One S :
Forza Horizon 4: Runs extremely better, super-fast load times, silky-smooth graphics.
Cyberpunk 2077: Super trash on the Xbox One S to the point that I didn't want to play it. On my Xbox Series X, it's enjoyable.
Call of Duty Cold War: Just about the same graphics wise when playing zombies, I haven't tried campaign on it yet.
Xbox Game Pass makes this console really enjoyable for me. It's nice to have the luxury of being able to pick from a large library of games to download for $15.

I liked them all personally but it was 3 people didn't like, due to the whole whatever decisions u make don't actually effect anything in the end. Still enjoyed the style and personality of the game itself.
The blacksmithing mini game in Fable 2 took up way too much of my childhood.

You do realize you can put a SSD into your current Xbox to get these faster load times right? It takes literally 2 minutes to swap it. I have 3 SSD's in my gaming PC and when i got the PS4 pro a few years ago i immediately put a SSD in it. If i could put a SSD into my Switch i would cause its night and day. If anyone complains about slow load times its their own fault for not doing something about it lol

@@FLUFFYxPANDA1 that is not entirely true, the XSX CPU is doing most of the job decompressing the data that is been fed by the SSD. So, no. He won't get those load times on next gen games even with the fastest SSD because the CPU is not capable of decompress the data been fed by the SSD.
