I’ve been a PlayStation user for the longest time. I had so many fun memories playing on my PS4, but this generation I’m switching to Xbox. The Console sounds powerful, has huge backwards compatibility, Game Pass is a steel, and the community behind it is awesome.
Idk I like the ps5 and huge Spider-Man fan but I just got into halo on my Xbox one s so idk if it’s worth getting the series x if I have the one s

Yes. It’s worth it. I just got mine a week ago in sept of 2021, and just playing xbox one games optimized for Series X on a 4k HDR tv is an awesome experience. This console generation was truly done right, the hardware is incredible. And I can’t wait for more devs to really harness the power of this console. I have a feeling we haven’t seen anything yet.
not really it Xbox used to be cool being able to do 16 player Lan party games not anymore and backwards compatibility does not support that anymore.

The backwards compatibility would sell this to me 100%. The fact you can pop in original xbox discs is incredible.

I actually am very excited to get mine since I only own the og xbox one so it is a big leap for me. Honestly the only reason for me not to get an xbox is no exclusives coming out until 2021 but I do mostly play multiplat games. And with xbox acquiring zenimax and there 15 studios xbox is going to be pumping out big titles every year.

@@awesomearsam1890 I looked at the back of the boxes myself. Now that I think about it, I don't recall the Xbox copies mentioning the amount of space needed at all for either version, but the PS5 version definitely stated 285.

I would love more backwards compatibility but I heard that licensing can be a real issue, especially with OG Xbox games. So many of those studios don’t exist or have been absorbed so it makes it tricky. That sucks though because it’s definitely possible but regulations prevent it.
Coming from a PS guy, I'm genuinely impressed on the backwards compatibility. I gotta give it to microsoft there. 👏

It’s really interesting too, because it’s clearly a phenomenal feature. The only problem is it’s not one that’ll get people to switch consoles, because they likely won’t have that extensive 360 collection. But yeah, Sony is slackin in terms of backwards compatibility. I think it’ll catch up to em soon

So, I finally got a Series S, and previously I had a One. Not the One S or X, the og One from 2013, and let me tell you, the leap in performance is truly astonishing. It's kind of a hard thing to describe but let me tell you, a lot of this recent titles from big name developers were really not well optimized for the One, at least the original. Black Ops Cold War, for example, would have tons of graphical glitches, and would fairly often have crashes. The load times from Rainbow Six Siege and GTA V would be upwards of 5 minutes. On the Series S, it's just seconds, maybe 2 minutes at most. It's a huge upgrade. If you have an original One, or maybe the One S, big recommend for the Series

I really like that xbox is so chill now. It's honestly surprising how much they put the gamer first when before that was playstation's area. Very excited m8.

@@blip_blop6777 yeah, Xbox is still lacking on the exclusives with the new gen console. They’re whole mascot for it is coming out next year. I play on ps and I’m impressed with the technology advanced but as it seems it’s no different from the Xbox 1.

I feel like a lot of thought went into the storage on this new generation Series X. The Xbox Series X prioritizes a balance between a competitively cheap price point while managing to include the highest-end hardware yet for a console.
The Series X not only uses a SSD as opposed to the previous generation's (extremely slow operating) HDD, but the Series X comes with 802GB of usable storage, as opposed to; the Xbox One X's

You can just buy an x amount of HDD storage, for current gen and last gen games
You will have to move next gen games to the internal SSD if you want to play them however you can just play your last gen games straight from the HDD
Trust me that would be a luxury for one of my old consoles

I'm a PlayStation only guy, here is my thoughts.
Backwards compatibility with every console generation is great, but Game Pass is a big one. Its going to save you so much dang money man, lets not even start with that Bethesda situation.
I only have PlayStation consoles, for someone like me, I get access to a massive library of games ive never played before with minimal cost. When you look at what you are getting now and in the future with Game Pass, its a complete steal.
The fact that you can play so many AAA games all day 1 is wild man, this kind of value literally kills off the competition with ease. As the Microsoft game studios release more games, the value of Game Pass is going to be impossible to ignore, Sony will have to do something to compete if it wants to keep customers, because 70USD Spider Man and Demon Souls are not going to be enough once Game Pass has had some time to build up.
