They have a lot of motions to go through. She doesn't want to spend court time looking up case laws etc. when she can get para-legal help later to compare all sorts of other cases and what and when things to let into trial or not. This is the way it is usually done and they all have another meeting together later today which will clear up some of these matters while they discuss other things related. Every judge studies the details before making rulings unless something is obvious to them. Don't forget, some of her yay or nay will be based on whether a lawyer on either side finished required submissions or discovery in time. And finally, no judger wants a win on an appeal b/c she/he made a legal mistake when deciding what is allowed or not into a trial; they have to study other cases sometimes; they want to make sure they get "what is allowed or not" correct so that it cannot be disputed during appeal.
I think she doesn't want to deny all the defense motions one right after another..all the denied motions will be this afternoon so she can pretend she considered it...we all know she has been put on this case because she can be bought
