  • @challanger275
    @challanger275 Месяц назад +5

    I think the judge is very indecisive. She keeps putting things off for later and later and later and later I’ve never seen the judge. Take things like I’ll look at it this afternoon. I’ll look at it this afternoon. She wouldn’t have time for a sandwich. Never mind. Look at motions

    • @govindagovindaji4662
      @govindagovindaji4662 12 дней назад

      They have a lot of motions to go through. She doesn't want to spend court time looking up case laws etc. when she can get para-legal help later to compare all sorts of other cases and what and when things to let into trial or not. This is the way it is usually done and they all have another meeting together later today which will clear up some of these matters while they discuss other things related. Every judge studies the details before making rulings unless something is obvious to them. Don't forget, some of her yay or nay will be based on whether a lawyer on either side finished required submissions or discovery in time. And finally, no judger wants a win on an appeal b/c she/he made a legal mistake when deciding what is allowed or not into a trial; they have to study other cases sometimes; they want to make sure they get "what is allowed or not" correct so that it cannot be disputed during appeal.

    This woman's story is utterly fucking ridiculous lol
    *She has 9 drinks in her, drops him off in a whiteout, doesn't wait to make sure he gets inside, goes home, passes out and instead of sleeping it off deep into the morning hours heading towards noon, wakes up at 6 A.M. screaming his name and calls 2 friends to go out looking for him?*
    They're driving around in white out with the windows down shouting his name surely at her ridiculous request, come upon the house she dropped him off at, neither of the other two women can see his body in the whiteout, they notice she's still heavily drunk but somehow Read does, leaps out of the car, runs over to him and starts CPR.
    When the police arrive to aid with fire and rescue, they have to use a flood light built onto one of the cruisers just to spot the women in the darkness coupled with the whiteout, and the women have dark clothing on but are still invisible. *Then, it's her insistence that 11 people in on the conspiracy to hide the murder are able to give interviews without any part of their stories contradicting one another.*
    What a ridiculous load of shit! lol
    Realistically, she backed into him, leaps out in a panic, finds him looking dead as a doornail, drives home, never goes to sleep after plotting the scheme, calls the two friends, they drive around nonsensically screaming his name into a blizzard, then when they come upon the house, she goes into action, jumps out of the car and sells it for all it's worth.
    I don't think she did it on purpose, but it's far more likely she did it than some bizarre murder conspiracy coverup with the claims to it being outlandish and circumstantial.
    *The defense will produce a motive for the conspirators, but it's only going to be more ridiculous as time goes on.*
    Selling the house at a loss isn't going to hide evidence, the dog can be located to compare his wounds to it's bite pattern and while it seems a bit odd, searching on how long it takes someone to die in the cold when there's a blizzard hitting isn't actually all that unusual, and considering the level of injuries he had, it wouldn't be necessary.
    *He has bleeding on the brain and a fractured skull, the amount of time it's going to take for him to die if they drag him outside is completely irrelevant to someone healthy that succumbs to the cold, falls asleep and dies from exposure.*
    The information would be utterly useless to a murderer.
    *Her story is complete bullshit and it's an army of fools supporting her.*

      Not at ridiculous as the behavior of our trusted officials …. Anyone who is ok with any DA acting in that manner isn’t seeing the big picture on this one. If you think Karen is guilty that’s fine but hot damn I have never seen such a dog and pony show play out like this in a trial

    • @JonDeth
      @JonDeth Месяц назад +2

      @@empoweringwomen3200 unfortunately, it's just business as usual for them. I haven't seen any of that coverage yet; I'm primarily interested in following the trial and see how the dense fills their role.
      With all things, there's always a margin of error, *but her story lacks a lot of credibility, and a defense should be based on the presumed innocence of the accused, not accusing others to divert attention.* I watched the hearing, and the other parties the defense is accusing have really flimsy theories for motives.

    • @empoweringwomen3200

      I’m referring to Norfolk District Attorney Michael Morrissey’s public service announcement. Unprecedented behavior that I find questionable at best but I’m just a regular person watching this unfold and it’s shocking that the prosecution seems to be holding exculpatory evidence 🤷🏻‍♀️ I do not condone any harassment or intimidation of witnesses at all but what did they even witness ?? This will be interesting for sure!

    • @nunyabizness573
      @nunyabizness573 Месяц назад

      I agree. And to top it off, her attorneys are super aggressive and indignant. However all they are doing is push a defense narrative known at least since Scott Peterson (or sooner) that the cops did not investigate ANY OTHER POSSIBILITY. There is nothing unique about this defense. It's designed to cause doubt but it's so ridiculous that it doesn't cause ANY doubt. It's not even plausible deniability. Presumably innocent, no one at the house was expecting there to be a dead body in a blizzard at the corner of the property.
      My guess is Karen backed into him, took off, he was still alive and tried crawling to the house but passed out and died of hypothermia.
