  • Gisèle Pelicot waived her right to anonymity when her husband - and dozens of other men - were charged with raping and sexually assaulting her. Her decision allowed journalists to cover the trial in full and made her a feminist icon in France. But as we await the final verdicts and sentencing, what does the case tell us about French attitudes to rape? And with the French government promising change, will this be a watershed moment?
The episode contains discussion of rape and sexual assault.

This will give others courage to come forward now , it's the perpetrators should be ashamed and face what awaits them in the prison.

This lady is very courageous to come forward with al l the abuse she endured and recorded videos time and again, I can only imagine what she is living with that mental and physical trauma , she may never recover from it, it's a life time punishment .

What is so tragic is that this evil man, who is clearly in denial of how vile his actions were, has destroyed his whole family forever. The fall out is likely to last for years, and affect this family for generations to come. They have had to change their surnames and the grand children will grow up with every detail of this case all over social media - horrific.
