    You ALMOST make me wanna own one of these pain in asses! Occasionally I have to work on the bosses 2013 GTC so I stay tuned to your channel. Great work, you've got more patience than I have. If it wasn't for the VW connection, you'd be screwed, but I'm sure you know that already!

    Re watching this Playlist. Hit a sign post during a snow storm and f'd up my bumper cover. You make some good videos on how to perform this work. Others just like posting "budget bentley" videos for clout. Keep it up man!

    Great Bentley DIY content! This video is very straight forward.
    Questions:
    1. Did you need a special tool to remove the ignition coils or did they pull off with your hands?
    2. What torque specs did you use for the bolts on the upper intake Plenum?

    • @4LaneBlacktop
      @4LaneBlacktop  Год назад +1

      Thank you. The coils just pull out with your hands. I believe the bolt torque is 12 or 14 ft-lbs.

    You the man! I ordered 2 boards from Sid also. Lets hope he sends the correct ones! At 8:50, do you see this breather line connected to the intake manifold right under the throttle body, it starts as a steel line and curves downwards, connects to a hose and disappears down next to the MAF. This pipe has come loose on my end and I can't see at all where it connects. Any help would be most appreciated! I'm on an '05 CGT

    Hello @4LaneBlacktop,
    Which part number of the thermostat housing did you use, and was it the same celsius ° rating as the original Bentley unit, as there are thermostats with ranges from a 87°c, 100°c, and 105°c, between the two brands.
    Also, the wire is not a sensor, but in-fact, a heating element to control the opening and closing of the thermostat itself, depending on driving at speed, or idling in traffic, or just sitting at idle, the setup is to allow it run hotter while idling to reduce emissions.

    How about replacing the upper radiator hose? Do you have to remove intake as well?

    Are there any bleed points when you drain and refill the coolant or does it self bleed ?????

    • @4LaneBlacktop
      @4LaneBlacktop  6 месяцев назад

      Due to the thermostat location I believe it self bleeds because it is at the highest point on the engine

    Lots of extra work made by bolting 2 vr6 motors together , I must admit , I would not do those jobs willingly but I cut my teeth with multi carbs and old water injection turbos . Life was just that much easier then !
