PowerStroke Tech Talk w/ARod 😂 it’s all good....welding on exhaust isn’t that crucial anyways. As long as it holds up to the vibration and all you need is two of those tacks to be sufficient for that so those are fairly good odds. Lol Hey, the good news is you can only get better!! Lmao. Saving him that exhaust money is what’s important!

Im a tech at a ford fleet center and its always cool to see another techs approach to diagnosing different concerns. I have a 12 f450 with p207f. It had soot out of the tailpipe. I thought i could put it in regen after other repairs i did, r&r turbo, broken exh man studs and some other stuff, because i thought it had put out higher emissions due to the other concerns with the turbo etc. Still set p207f. No circuit problems. Replaced the nox sensor, did not replace module. Set p207f after maybe 20miles. Do you think replacing the module will fix it?? I dont have much experience with nox sensor concerns and i dont know what pids i can watch to monitor operation of the nox sensor etc. I have had a hell of a time trying to learn about operation of this sensor LoL thanks!!

Welding tips and tricks has a ton of great videos on you tube. The best teacher is experience, you just have to do it. A short stick out is key, gas shielding looks better than flux core, and make sure your polarity is right. I would put some tacks to hold it and weld from tack to tack. I’m starting to get nervous when your videos come out. Every time you have a new one one of our trucks come in with the same codes on it. I just had this one on a 2016 a week ago but it went out before it went into derate. Do those modules need to be programmed or is it just a reset of learned parameters.

This code is going to drive me insane. I've had my 16 since new 91k and does get used just dont drive it everyday. Well maintained, always use motorcraft def. Ford replaced exhaust twice already for the same code. Had pcm recall done last September but the recall doesn't cover P207f. Sorry about venting but it makes me want to just sell it and go by a 6.0 or 7.3 with no emissions. If it wasn't for the dpf system I would have absolutely no complaints with this truck she tows like a beast and plows awesome.

Good information. I have a 16 Ford F350 w/6.7. Only 27 and change thousand original miles. Not running rough at all with "check engine" light. Idle is smooth. No soot in tail pipe. Def tank 1/2 full. No indication of any problems and no reduced power. Code set is P207F PCM Power Control Module - Reductant Quality Performance.
I see REAR and FRONT NOX SENSOR WARRANTY EXTENSION under Ford Recalls/Ford Owner Support online account, but, have no idea how long the warranty extension applies, or, even if relevant to my situation. Dealer says it'll be at least 2 weeks before they can even look at it.

So I’ve worked at the ford dealer for 4 years back right when the 6.7 was released. I’m currently at a shop with limited but decent diagnostic equipment. I know my way around a 6.7 pretty decently and have been seasoned in repairing them for about 10years now. Im somewhat known as the 6.7 magician 😂😂Can you give me a brief but detailed explanation of what I should be seeing from the front and rear n0x sensors on live data From the 16 models with 2 sensors. Obviously there should be less ppm from the rear as opposed from the front, but is there a spec of how much and when the egr is in action. I work with pro demand and it doesn’t exactly give you specific number to follow. The last truck I had in was pretty close to to the suspecting point of a burnt out catalyst but everything looked clean and tidy with a bore scope, no excess oil ingestion, clean egr, decently low idle hrs verses operating hrs. I went through the basic visual and electrical fault isolation and reductant tests. No issues found. I can run the truck on jack stands and manually remove it from idle mode but it only lasts about 3 days before it falls right back in to 5mph limit.

That is one monumentally pain in the ass DTC to diagnose. I've had more than my share of those coming in. And the majority of the trucks I've had, ended up needing the SCR catalyst replaced. Only ONE truck I had, did replacing both NOx sensors repair the truck successfully. I very recently had a Transit coming in, with that DTC set that I replaced the NOx sensors on. Came back in on the hook the next day with P207F set again. Like the other trucks, replacing the SCR catalyst fixed it.

Gotta say, PowerStroke Tech Talk w/ARod. I struggled through this video, it just wasn’t your normal flow of getting to the problem and killing it. Maybe it was too much computer screen time, maybe it was the elevator music? Also I didn’t get to see or hear those Milwaukee’s.
