The main cause of shutter breakdown is the high number of shots ( more than a hundred thousands ) , isn' it ? so to replace it the camera must be dismantled .

@@matissecindy yes shipping ect would cost more then camera worth unfortunately. I would really recommend doing it yourself it's not that difficult. As long as you buy a whole shutterbox unit. It's really easy. I pick my replacement part up for around£25 here In the UK. Mate . Our repair shop quoted £200-£250 to carry out this repair 😲
